"Guys! She must have our location. She's pointing that weapon right at us!" Mako shouts to the group worriedly.

"No, she wouldn't," Baatar Jr. says, with a hurtful tone. As the gun gets ready to shoot towards them, it glows a bright purple.

"Everyone out. Now! Now!" Korra shouts loudly, as the beam shoots out from the gun. Mako takes Lei's hand and runs with the group as they try to make an escape. The beam hits the building, creating explosions and debris to fall right on the team.

The entire building of Asami's company collapsed as the spirit beam hit it. Debris was scattered everywhere, some caught on fire causing gray smoke to appear from the exploded building, or the remains of the building. The ground began to shake, as Bolin earthbended a large thick debris upwards, allowing all the survivors to escape.

"Go ahead. Take your time. Just bending a giant wall. Man, we got a lot of people here. Is that everybody?" Bolin grunted, as he earthbended the giant wall. Once everyone was out, Bolin let go of the debris with a restrained groan. Tenzin airbended to the top of another building to get an arial view. Mako held Lei, as they got out of the piles of debris.

"Kuvira is heading our way with a platoon of mechasuits," Tenzin said, as he airbended safely to the ground.

"What should we do?" Asami asked.

"This is my hometown, and I hate to say it, but there's no use risking all our lives to fight that giant thing. Let her take the city for now. We'll think of some way to come back and beat her," Bolin answered.

"What about all the people who haven't been evacuated yet?" Mako asks.

"Mako's right, the last batch of people haven't been evacuated yet. They should be in the train station, along with Wu," Lei explained, as she turned to Korra.

"If Kuvira finds out Wu is with them, she might fire that spirit cannon at him and take them all out," Mako adds, Korra sighs.

"I couldn't stop Kuvira from taking Zaofu. I'm not letting her conquer Republic City. The world isn't safe as long as she has that weapon," Korra says.

"I agree, we take down that giant today," Lin says strongly, as she stands at the top of the debris. Korra smiles at her.

"Lin!" Korra shouts, upon seeing her.

"Glad to see you all made it out. You had me worried," Lin said, as she walked over to the group.

"Well, you benders are gonna have to fight her alone. She just blew up our factory with all our hummingbird suits," Varrick says, Asami conjured an idea.

"Not all of them. There are prototypes back at my office that Kun is still working on. If we can get tjose ready to fly, we'll at least be able to offer a little air support," Asami says, Korra nods then turns to Su.

"Su, you take Baatar Jr. and the rest of the wounded back to Asami's office. Get those suits working as soon as you can. The rest of us will just have to face Kuvira on our own," Korra says.

Team Avatar split up with Asami and Varrick, along with the rest of Su's family headed to her office to finish the prototypes. Korra and the rest of Team Avatar, along with Lin and the airbenders headed to the city where they would face Kuvira. They ran along the streets heading towards Kuvira's giant mechasuit. Meelo was tagging behind when he spotted a paint store.

"A paint store? That's it!" Meelo exclaimed, as he broke the door to the paint store open with his airbending, catching the attention of the rest of the team.

"What are you doing, Meelo?" Lin asked angrily.

"I just got an idea how to beat the giant! Now, everyone, grab some paint and find me some balloons!" Meelo ordered. Oddly enough Meelo explained his plan to Team Avatar, which they approved since it would work and it was their only option. They spotted the mechagiant in the city, airbenders taking off to the sky heading straight for it. Kuvira noticed they were incoming, and aimed her spirit ray right at them. She was about to shoot a spirit beam until a large blue fire wall, just as tall as the giant was blocking her vision. Kuvira looked down to see Lei, smirking right at her. She controlled her giant to step on her but she was soon distracted when the fire wall came down and emerged the airbenders in a tight formation. Kuvira sends a spirit beam quickly, causing the airbenders to be separated from their formation and began to fly around the giant like a swarm of flies. Meelo airbended towards the eyes of the giant, dodging the giant hand trying to smack him.

"Bombs away!" Meelo shouted as he threw several balloons filled with paint towards the glass windows, blocking the giant's vision with paint. On his cue, the airbenders began doing the same as the giant's vision was completely blocked. Although, Kuvira had a backup plan because the windows were getting clearer with water sprinklers they installed beforehand.

"Now!" Tenzin shouted, from the rooftops of the building. Lin used her metal wire to land on top of the giant's foot. She tried to metal bend it but it was made out of something entirely different.

"The joints are platinum, too! We can't metal bend any of it!" Lin shouted, as she used her metal wires once more to get away from the giant.

"You're about to get the world's largest hot foot metal lady!" Bolin shouted, as he lavabended the ground below one of the giant's feet, causing the giant to fall back slightly. The twins, Wei and Wing took their chance to wrap metal wires around the giant's feet tightly.

"Hit it now!" Bolin shouted towards Korra, who was standing on top of the building that was facing right in front of the giant. Using her airbending, Korra sent a large air blast right at the giant's chest. The group of airbenders doing the same, sending a large air blast in unison with the Avatar. Kuvira abruptly shoot another beam sideways, causing Korra to stumble backwards to dodge her attack. Although the beam didn't hit Korra, it hit most of the top of the buildings behind her. Korra furrowed her eyebrows and sent a strong tornado right at the giant's center causing the giant to stumble back against the buildings. Unfortunately, the giant held its ground using its left hand to hold onto a building, regaining its balance and aiming its beam right at Korra and the airbenders. With the close of Kuvira's fist, another beam shoots out of the weapon destroying the building that the airbenders and Korra were on, causing them to fall onto the ground. Mako and Lei ran over to the injured airbenders, assisting them to stand up.

"Everyone, retreat. Take the wounded back to Asami's office," Korra says strongly, as she notices the giant looking straight at them.

"I'll meet you there. I'm going to see if I can find help," Lin shouts back, as she disappears between the buildings. Team Avatar and the airbenders run to the side of the building, away from the aim of the gian't spirit weapon as it shoots another beam. They hastily made their way towards Asami's office, carrying the injured with them. As they were on the way there, a platoon of mechatanks were heading in the same direction as they were.

"Go ahead, I'll slow them down," Lei shouted, as she ran into the platoon of mechatanks. She was running to them fast as she conjured a large fire comet sending it straight towards the formation of mechatanks. The comet knocked down the front-middle tanks, but left her right and left side vulnerable. The tanks were about to shoot her with electric wires but they were stopped when the ground beneath them was earthbended to rubble, causing the mechasuits to lose their balance and tip over. She turned around to see Bolin and Korra, with Mako running up to her.

"You didn't think we'd leave you alone, did you?" Korra said, Lei smiled as she and Team Avatar went into their offensive positions.

Mako and Lei fended off the left side while Bolin and Korra on the other. Mako and Lei simultaneously sent a fire stream towards the column of mechasuits. Their blue and orange fire mixing colors into the suits, heating the soldiers inside. The soldiers ejected from their suits, due to the overheating. Korra stomped on the ground, causing several boulders to levitate from the ground. She kicked these boulders and aimed them straight to the mechasuits, knocking some of them over. Bolin used his lava bending to create lava beneath the remaining mechasuits.

As they slowly began to destroy the first platoon, they did not notice the second platoon heading right their way. They were about to deliver their first blow to the second platoon until a large electric wave out of nowhere and spread through miles, causing the mechatanks to lose power and shut down. Lei turned to Korra, who seem confused too. They continued making their way to Asami's office, figuring they had something to do with the electrical wave. As they arrived, they found out Varrick caused the electrical pulse released into the city. With the injured being attended to, Team Avatar and the rest of the world leaders gathered for a meeting to think of another plan.

"Varrick, how come your electro-thingy shut down the small mecha suits but not the big one?" Bolin asks.

"Because it's powered with spirit vine energy. I'm sorry, I wish I could help you but it's unstoppable," Baatar Jr. said gloomly.

"It's not," a familiar voice said, they turned to the door to see Hiroshi Sato standing before them. Lei hadn't seen him since he was arrested years ago, he looked much older which was evident with his white hair. Although, Lei wasn't the only surprised one.

"Dad?" Asami acknowledged, with a tone of surprise.

"I got him out of jail to help. I figured we need all the geniuses we can get our hands on right now. If the prison's still standing after all this is over, we can throw him back in," Lin explained.

"I know what you all must think of me, but I love Republic City and I would do anything to save her," Hiroshi says truthfully, Korra crosses her arms.

"You think you know how to defeat this thing?" Korra asks.

"You must act like an infection, break the skin and attack the vital organs. Disconnect the heart and the brain, and this beast cannot live," Hiroshi answers.

"But how are we supposed to get inside?" Korra asks, knowing fully well that the giant was made out of platinum.

"Future Industries has plasma saws for cutting platinum. If we had one on the mechasuit-,"

"But the saws are way too big. We'd never get the suits off the ground," Asami reasons.

"I think I can add an electrical element to the welding torch on your suit and convert it into a plasma saw. Then we'll just have to land on the giant and cut open a hole big enough for someone to get in," Hiroshi counters, Asami nods understanding his idea.

"Like a metal mosquito," Asami says.

"You know what happens to mosquitos that land on me? I squash em'" Varrick says, understanding what would happen from his comment.

"We'll have to attack in a swarm to try to keep you guys safe in the hummingbird suits. It looks like they're our only hope," Korra says, Asami nodded as her, her father, Varrick, Ju Lee, and Kun work on the hummingbird suits. After about thirty minutes of work, one of the airbender scouts burst into the room.

"Kuvira is headed our way," the scout says worriedly. Korra turned to the non-benders.

"How long will it take to get the plasma saws ready?" Korra asks, turning to Asami.

"Just a few more minutes," Asami answered, as she helps her father attach parts to the suits.

"Get out there as soon as you can," Korra says, Asami nodded getting back to work.

"If you do manage to get inside, find the engine room. There are two emergency levers. If you switch them off at the same time, you'll cut the power," Baatar Jr. says, Korra nods.

"Thanks," Korra says, then turns to the rest of Team Avatar and the airbenders, "We may not be able to beat that thing, but we can slow it down, Let's go!"

Team Avatar stand their ground as they see the metal giant turning a corner towards them. Each of them took their defensive bending stances as the metal giant causes the ground to shake as it takes another step towards them. Korra lead the group first as she makes an air tornado, traveling towards the giant, who begins to aim its beam right at Korra. She anticipates the beam as it shots and dodges it by turning a corner of a building. She uses her earthbending to bend several boulders from the road then makes her way to a top of the building by boosting herself upwards with an air tornado. She continuously shoots boulders at the giant, as the airbenders began to swarm the giant. Kuvira aims her gun towards the building where Korra was standing. But just as the beam was about to shoot, the airbenders formed a single blow right at the gun, causing the beam to shoot downwards and the giant to stumble backwards onto a building. Su, Lin, and Bolin used their earthbending to break apart the half of a building and fall on top of the giant. The giant stopped moving as it was stuck between two buildings, however, it soon regained its strength, emerging from both buildings. As they continued to distract the giant, Asami's hummingbird suits arrived just on time. Varrick's hummingbird suit landed at the back of the giant as it began to use the newly installed plasma gun to create a hole. Kuvira noticed their plan and used the giant's hand to smack the back area, but Varrick managed to dodge its attack.

"Wow! I wish I had that kind of flexibility," Varrick exclaims. Asami used her hummingbird suit as she landed on the giant's thigh, however as she began to use the plasma gun to saw in, the giant tried to smack the suits once more.

"They are never gonna get in there if that giant keeps moving," Lei shouted, as she looked up at the giant. Korra turned around and saw the river behind her.

"I have an idea, move out of the way," Korra says, before running over to the river. Lei soon caught up with what her idea was and shouted to the others to move out of the way. Korra used her waterbending and shot an abrupt wave towards the giant and freezing the water, causing it to be covered in ice, unable to move. The distraction gave Asami and Hiroshi an opening to land on the giant's thigh and cut through the platinum with the plasma saw. The ice couldn't hold the giant for long unfortunately.

"We need to get out of here," Asami said worriedly to her father, as she noticed the ice begin to crack.

"Almost there," Hiroshi answers. Another block of ice falls on top of the hummingbird suit.

"We have to go now!" Asami says once more.

"Almost there. Almost there!" Hirsohi shouts, but at the same time, the giant breaks free from the ice and makes its arm head straight for their hummingbird suit.

"Dad! NOW!" Asami shouts worriedly. Hiroshi frowns as he uses his left hand to open a switch.

"Goodbye, Asami. I love you," Hiroshi says, before turning the switch, causing Asami's seat to eject from the hummingbird suit. At the same time, the giant's hand smacked the hummingbird suit with Hiroshi in it.

"Dad!" Asami cried, as she descended in the air. The rest of Team Avatar witnessed the scene with a sad aura. Korra closed her eyes and opened them once more strongly.

"Hiroshi's plan worked. There's our opening," Korra says, as she used her airbending to get onto the thigh. Mako and Lei used jet propulsion while Su and Lin used their metalbending to get on, carrying Bolin with them. Kuvira hurriedly tries to stop them by using the free hand to hit them, but was stopped when Korra extended the ice. Everyone manages to get in, barely escaping the hit of the arm.

"We need to move fast," Korra starts, "Su, Lin climb up to the arm and try to disable that weapon. Mako, Lei, Bolin, get to the engine room and see if you can power this thing down. I'm going after Kuvira,"

"Are you sure? When you fought Kuvira before.." Su trails off, Korra sighs.

"I know, She almost destroyed me. Not this time," Korra says confidently. Team Avatar separate into groups carrying out their tasks. Mako, Lei, and Bolin climbed up the ladder to get to the center, but soon found themselves being targeted with metal plates. Lei looked down and saw a couple metal bending soldiers at the bottom.

"Go ahead, I got this," Lei said, as she jumped from the ladder. But right before, she was about to hit the ground, she used jet propulsion to give her a landing and take out a few soldiers on the way. As Lei began to fend off the metal bending soldiers, Mako and Bolin made their way to the top. Using a couple rocks he lavabended the rocks into a saw to cut open the hatch.

"I'm going for that lever. You get the other one," Mako says, as he climbed out of the hatch. As Mako took the left side, the guard took notice of him and began to throw metal plates at him but he dodged it and sent fire punches towards the guard. He sent another one but the guard dodged it by creating a shield with his metal plates, redirecting Mako's fire to the energy source. The spirit vine energy source released purple lightning upon getting hit with Mako's fire, causing Mako to stumble backwards into the wall. The guard continuously started throwing metal plates at him but Mako managed to dodge them once more and getting a direct hit on the guard using a fire lash. The guard gets knocked into a wall, Mako uses his chance to flip him over unconscious.

Mako stands next to the lever, shouting, "I'm ready!"

"Be with you in one second! Kind of busy!" Bolin shouts, as he defends himself from the metal plates being thrown at him. Bolin cut open one of the pipes using his lavabending disc, causing smoke to emerge giving Bolin a chance to get a direct hit on the guard's chest using his shoulder.

"Okay! Ready now!" Bolin shouts, as he holds the lever. Mako holds onto the lever as well.

"Ready? One, two, three!" Mako shouts, as they simultaneously pull the lever down. Although, the power source was still being used up.

"Nothing's happening," Mako shouts.

"Kuvira must've done some override thing and taken control," Bolin shouts, as Mako runs over to Bolin's side with the main control panel.

"There's gotta be some other way shut down power from here," Mako says, as Bolin turns to the control panel.

"Um," Bolin says, as he sweats, deciding which button to press.

"Come on, you spent all that time working with Varrick and Baatar Jr. Didn't any of their geniuses rub off on you?" Mako asks hurriedly.

"Look, the only thing I know about these vines is that if you mess around with them too much, they explode," Bolin says, as he turns back to the control panel. Mako thought of a crazy idea as he turned to vine-like power source, as electricity is extracted from it. He knew it would cost him but he needed to do it.

He turned to his brother, "Get the engineers out of here, I have an idea,"

"Wanna fill me in?" Bolin asks, as he turned to his brother.

"I'm gonna zap these vines with some electricity," Mako answers, Bolin raises his eyebrows.

"Let's back it up, okay? I said that will make the vines explode," Bolin says, confused at what his brother was trying to do. Mako sighed deeply.

"Exactly. This is our only way of shutting this thing down. I can handle it," Mako says, as he begins to turn around but Bolin places a hand on his shoulder to stop him.

"No, you can't. This isn't the time to prove how awesome you are. I already know how awesome you are. You're awesome," Bolin says, Mako furrows his eyebrows.

"I don't have time to argue. I'm doing this, so get out of here," Mako shouts demandingly, Bolin sighs.

"Okay, but for the record, I do not approve. Just get out as soon as you can. Promise?" Bolin says, as he holds out his hand. Mako softens his gaze at his brother.

"Promise," Mako says, as he takes his brother's hand and holds it tightly. He hugs him tightly before pulling away.

"I love you," Bolin says.

"I love you too. Now, go! Lei might need your help down there," Mako shouts, Bolin takes hold on the two guards and makes his way down. Meanwhile, Lei sends firelashes towards the remaining metal bending soldiers, just as Bolin arrived at the bottom, with the guards. Lei turned to him and raised an eyebrow.

"Where's Mako?" Lei asks immediately.

"He stayed behind and said he'd zap the source with electricity," Bolin answers, Lei widens her eyes.

"Are you kidding! He won't be able to take that much lightning! It could kill him!" Lei shouts, as she uses jet propulsion to travel upwards to the top of the ladder. As she got to the top, she just witnessed Mako sending electricity to the energy source.

"Mako!" Lei shouts, as she tries to cover her face from the bright light.

"Lei, stay back!" Mako shouts back, worried she might get hit.

"No! I'm not letting you do this alone!" Lei shouts, as she turns to the energy source. Taking a deep breath and putting herself into a lightning bending position.

"Lei, that lightning could hurt you!" Mako shouts, but it was no use as Lei began to generate lightning. Her visions came into view but she knew she couldn't stop. She ignored the pain and began to direct the lightning towards the energy core. With their simultaneous lightning bending, the connection of the giant to the energy source exploded. Oddly, the lightning that Mako was bending transferred all its power to where Lei was bending. She closed her eyes as she began to hold the lightning. She couldn't control her visions but it didn't mean she'd give up. She took a deep breath and exhaled. Her eyes shot open as a white glow emerged from her eyes. The Electricity emitting from the energy source grew stronger, and caused a small surge in the room, making Lei fall to the ground.

"Lei!" Mako shouted, as he ran up to help her.

"I'm fine," Lei said weakly, holding onto her waist. Bolin came up from the hatch, spotting the pair.

"This place is about to blow, let's go!" Bolin shouts, as he helped Mako carry Lei. They descended down the ladder as quickly as they could but the explosion from the energy source caused a huge energy explosion, ripping the giant in half. Bolin, Mako, and Lei fell to the ground unconscious. For several moments, they woke up to the ground shaking. Mako went over to Lei and helped her up, with Bolin's assistance. Bolin opened a hatch, for them to see a new spirit portal emerging from the center of the city. They got out from the hatch and landed on a patch of spirit vines that surrounded the portal. Asami ran up to them upon spotting them from the distance.

"I'm glad you guys are alright," Asami said, as she stopped in front of them. Lei looked at her.

"Where's Korra?" Lei asks, Asami frowns. Asami had told them what happened and that she was missing in the area. The airbenders and the rest of Team Avatar continued the search for her. Mako held onto Lei, as they walked through the vined area, in search of Korra.

"Korra!" Mako shouted, as him and Lei walked up to the upper half of the giant that was covered in vines. Jinora flew over to them to check the main room to see if she was there, and shook her head to Mako.

"Tenzin, there's no sign of her," Mako says, as he held onto Lei. Tenzin turned to him.

"Keep looking. Korra!" Tenzin shouts once more. Eventually, Lei gained enough balance to walk again. The rest of the Team Avatar continued their search, the same time as Kuvira's army began looking for Kuvira. From the spirit portal, spirits emerged surrounding the area.

"The spirits have returned," Tenzin said, as he gazed upon the beautiful sights of spirits all over.

"And so has Korra!" Asami shouted happily, as Korra emerged from Spirit Portal, supporting Kuvira. Team Avatar ran up to her.

"Ha! Ha! You're okay!!" Bolin laughed triumphantly, as Korra walked up to them. Kuvira's mechasuits began surrounding Team Avatar, clearly looking for another fight.

"Release Kuvira, or we will attack," one of soldiers warned, Kuvira gets out of Korra's grip and stands tall.

"Stand down. This battle is over. I owe the Avatar my life. Her power is beyond anything I could ever hope to achieve. I'll accept whatever punishment the world sees fit," Kuvira says, with that, her soldiers stand down. Lin and Su approached her. Lin puts cuffs on her hands. Kuvira turns to Su.

"And Su, I'm sorry for all the anguish I've caused you and your family," Kuvira adds.

"You're going to answer for everything you've done," Su says, as she escorts Kuvira with Lin. Korra turned to her friends, smiling at them with a warm heart. Asami placed a hand on her shoulder, as Bolin began to hug her. Mako and Lei were pulled in by Asami. And slowly, they all rejoiced their victory with a simple group hug.

After the battle, everyone gathered at Air Temple Island to rejoice for their battle had been won. Raiko thanked Korra for her work against Kuvira. And somehow, they managed to plan and celebrate the wedding of Varrick and Zhu Li. The wedding was to be held at Air Temple Island, excitement filled the Team. Mako wore his fine suit, with a red tie to the occasion, while Lei wore one of her formal red dresses. They sat in between Asami and Prince Wu on the second row for the momentous occasion.

"And though the battle took a severe toll on our beloved city, out of destruction, love did bloom," Bolin says, as he officiated the wedding. Mako and Lei held their hands together, upon listening to his speech. "So that is why, dearest friends and family, we gather today to celebrate the wondrous and, at times, inexplicable bond between Sir Varrick and the Lady Zhu Li!"

"Hey, pal. Camera on me. This is my big day!" Varrick whispers angrily, towards the camera man.

"True love is a fickle creature, difficult to find, nearly impossible to tame, but Varrick and Zhu Li have proven that even the longest of long shots can have a chance at happiness together. Now, for the vows!" Bolin says, as Pabu climbs up to his shoulder holding a small piece of paper.

"Thank you, Master Pabu," Bolin says, as he takes the small piece of paper from Pabu.

Bolin turns to Varrick, "Do you, Sir Iknik Blackstone Varrick of the Southern Water Tribe, Master of the High Seas, take the Lady Zhu Li Moon to be your lawfully wedded wife? Will you promise to treat her not as your assistant but as your honored and cherished partner?"

"You're darn tootin' I do!" Varrick answers, the crowd laughs upon his answer.

Bolin turns to Zhu Li, "And do you, Zhu Li, take Varrick to be your lawfully wedded husband? Do you promise to care for him in sickness and in health and—And also scrub his calluses on a bi-weekly basis, which isn't that much to ask—Okay, I'm not reading all this,"

"I do take Varrick, calluses and all," Zhu Li says softly, Bolin smiles.

"You may now....do the thing," Bolin said, as he took a step back for their moment. With that, the couple shared a small and short kiss. The crowd cheered upon their interaction. At the reception, many people rejoiced and celebrated. Opal pulled Bolin into dance floor, where Varrick and Zhu Li were dancing as well. Mako stood in the sidelines with Wu.

"My cousin told me how level-headed you were during the whole evacuation. I got to admit, I'm impressed. I think you're gonna make a great leader, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna set you up with Korra, so don't ask," Mako says, Wu smiles.

"That's okay, Mako. Sometimes, a good evacuation is its own reward," Wu boasts, Mako rolls his eyes.

"Good to see you, Prince Wu— Or should I say King Wu? You ready to get back to Ba Sing Se and finally take the throne?" Korra asks, Wu hesitates.

"Yeah, about that, I was actually of stepping down as King and getting rid of the monarchy altogether," Wu answers, Mako raises his eyebrows at his response.

"Are you joking?" Mako asks.

"For once, I'm not. Now, I know what you're gonna say, I'm being lazy, I'm afraid of responsibility, I'm putting my singing career before my people, but it's none of those things. I really think the Earth Kingdom would be better off if the states were independent and had elected leaders like the United Republic," Wu explains, Mako and Korra look at Prince Wu with surprise.

"That's actually pretty wise and mature of you," Mako says, with a surprising tone.

"I think it's a great idea. The Earth Kingdom should evolve, and I'll do everything in my power to help you make that happen," Korra says, smiling at Wu, who smiles back.

"Looking forward to working with you, but for now, the dance floor calls!" Wu says, before he walks to the dance floor. Korra turns to Mako, with a soft gaze.

"The words, thank you, don't feel big enough for what you and Lei did, but I honestly don't know what else to say," Korra says softly, Mako smiles.

"You don't need to say anything. I want you to know I'll follow you into battle no matter how crazy things get. I've got your back, and I always will. I'm sure that Lei would say the same thing," Mako says, Korra looks around then turns back to him.

"Where is she anyway? I thought you two would be on the dance floor by now," Korra teases, Mako chuckled.

"Lei? Dancing? Pretty sure you're thinking of the wrong person," Mako laughs, Korra laughs. But he thought about it and she did have a point. He hadn't seen Lei since the start of the reception.

"I'm gonna go look for her," Mako says to Korra, who nods. He looks around the party to see if she was around mingling. He found no sight of her and began to look around the island. Eventually, he found her looking at the ocean, leaning on one of the wooden pillars of the gazebo at the edge of the island. He smiled and wrapped his arms around her waist from behind. She smiled and leaned into him.

"Why aren't you at the party?" Mako asks, as he holds onto her hands. Lei let out a deep sigh.

"I've had enough of weddings in my lifetime," Lei chuckles, as she turns around to face him. Mako raises his eyebrows.

"Even if it was ours?" Mako asks softly, Lei looks at him with a soft and confused gaze. He pulls out a ring from his pocket, Lei gazed at its beauty. It was a thin golden ring with a dazzling ruby in the center. She turns her gaze from the ring to Mako.

"Mako," Lei whispers, as he squeezes her hand.

"It's my mother's, my grandma gave it to me a year ago. I wanted to do it on a special occasion, and I've had it with me for the longest time, I just didn't know when the perfect moment was," Mako starts softly, as he cups her cheek, he continues, "Lei, I've never been sure about anything in my entire life. But I want to be with you, travel the world with you, and grow old with you. You're the one person who I can count on the most. You're my best friend, my girlfriend, now will you do me the honor of being my partner for life?"

Mako holds out the ring to her, Lei touched the ring shakily, knowing this was a lot of pressure. Mako stutters nervously, "You don't have to answer me now, I can wait—,"

"Yes," Lei rasps out, as she looks at him with teary eyes. Mako smiles widely as he puts the ring on her right hand. He put his hands on her waist and spinned her in the air. Lei laughs as she was placed back down on the ground. Mako pulls her in for an eager kiss, Lei smiles as she kisses him back. They pull away upon hearing an awkward cough behind them. They turned to see Bolin, Asami, and Korra smiling widely at them.

"You're gonna be my sister!!" Bolin cried, as he ran up to Lei to embrace her. Lei laughed at Bolin.

"Congratulations, both of you. You deserve it," Korra says, as she smiles at her two friends.

"Could you guys keep this a secret first? I preferably would love to tell my aunt and Lord Zuko personally when we leave for the Fire Nation," Lei says, smiling at Mako, who nods agreeing to her statement.

"Well, could you perhaps postpone going to the Fire Nation for at least a few days?" Asami asks shyly, Lei raises her eyebrows at her.

"It's just that, I promised Asami I'd take her to the spirit world," Korra explained, Mako and Lei exchanged glances. Lei turned to Korra.

"That's alright, Korra. We were planning on postponing it anyway since I still have to help Lin with Kuvira's case," Lei answers, Korra and Asami smile widely.

"Thanks, Lei. We're actually planning to leave now. We've already told everyone who needed to know," Korra says, as she turned to Asami.

"Well, I hope you guys have fun, I'll see you in a few days," Lei says softly, as she held out her arms for the girls to hug her. The three of them exchanged a warm hug. Then Korra and Asami took turns hugging Mako and Bolin.

As the Team Avatar said their final goodbyes to each other. They knew their adventures together would not end, for they have a greater battle ahead of them.

Hello my beautiful readers!! Another chapter for all who hunger for the next plot!! But yay!! BOOK 4 IS ALMOST DONE!! I've finished the animated series, now we move onto comics. The plot of the comics will still be considered part of Book 4 since it takes place after the events of Book 4 so yeah lol.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter as much I did writing it!!
