Book 1 ~ Chapter 15

✨•~~~~~~~~•✨
LEIs POV

Bolin and I walked there to see Korra and Mako talking beside the edge of the railing. We suddenly stopped in our tracks when Mako and Korra started kissing. I could feel like a part of me broke when I saw them. I looked at Bolin, and I could see the tears trying to escape his eyes. Korra and Mako pulled away, and they noticed our presence. Bolin started weeping uncontrollably and ran away.

Bolin threw the flowers on the ground as he ran away sobbing. I saw his face before he ran away, his tears kept flowing all the way to his neck.

"Bolin! Wait!" Mako called.

I turned my head in their direction, and gave them a glare.

"What the hell is wrong with the both of you? Both of you are so insensitive sometimes!" I shouted in anger, before running in the direction Bolin went.

"Lei!!" Mako yelled.

I kept running until I reached the front of the Arena. I looked around and tried to see where Bolin went. After a few moments, I spotted a small image of Bolin running, I immediately whistle for Kaya who came running to me. She run as fast as she could to catch up with him. We were running further into the city.

"Bolin!" I called.

He stopped and turned around. Kaya stopped once we were able to catch up to him. I got off Kaya and went up to Bolin.

"Hey, it's okay," I said softly and pulled him into a hug.

"It hurts, Lei," Bolin cried. Pain. Emotional Pain. That was what he felt. I knew what that felt like years ago. I deeply sighed, and pulled away from the hug. I put my hands on his shoulders. He kept his head down.

"Bolin, I know it hurts but it's best for you to move on, alright?" I said softly. He nodded. I put my arms down and he looked at me.

"Do you wanna go anywhere? I'll come with you to cheer you up," I suggested.

"I'm kinda hungry, let's go to the water tribe joint," Bolin said softly. I smiled lightly.

"Alright, come on," I said, I got on Kaya.

Bolin and I rode all the way until we reached the water tribe joint that Bolin loves so much. We got off Kaya and entered the joint, and took a seat where we ate before. It was already past midnight yet, he was so hungry. I was tired myself, but I had to make sure Bolin was alright.

"Naruk! 20 Bowls of noodles please!" Bolin said, as he raised his arm in the air. I widened my eyes.

"Um, Bolin, Are you sure you want 20 bowls of noodles?" I asked in disbelief.

"Yeah," Bolin said softly.

"Alright, I'll wait for you to finish then," I sighed.

The waiter brought all 20 bowls to the table and Bolin immediately started eating like crazy. He even ordered more after he was done with the 20. It was almost morning, and I'm completely exhausted. I decided to rest my eyes for a while, and I slowly drifted off to sleep.

MAKOs POV

I have been searching for Bolin the entire night. The sun was about to come up and I was about to give up. I started thinking of places where Bolin could be. Then it hit me, Bolin loves that water tribe joint downtown. I immediately make my way over there, hoping he is there. I reached the front and I see Kaya sleeping next to the entrance, I raised my eyebrow. I pet Kaya's head, as she yawned. She looked at me and stood up. I entered the joint and saw Naruk, our usual waiter, was at the corner.

"Morning Naruk, Is my brother here?" I asked. Naruk pointed to my direction.

I turned around and to not only see Bolin, but Lei as well. Bolin had his head down in front of dozens of bowls. I looked at Lei, and she was laying down on the seat. Her hair wasn't tied like it usually was, I smiled. I turned to Bolin and put my hand on his back.

"Come on, wake up, I'm taking you home, bro," I said. Bolin put his head up, and his eyes had dark circles around them.

"You're not my brother, You're a brother betrayer! The only people I can trust now is Pabu, and Lei," Bolin coughed.

"You're a mess, and we got the biggest match of our lives tonight, Let's go," I said, and tried to help him but he shot my hand away.

"No! I'm not going anywhere with you! Traitor!" Bolin shouted.

"I guess we're doing this the hard way," I sighed, and picked him up on my shoulders.

I went out and placed Bolin on Kaya. I went back in to get Lei, who was still sleeping soundly on the seat. I picked her up slowly, and made my way outside. I rode Kaya, with Lei in my arms, and Bolin tied up behind me. I rode Kaya all the way to the Arena. Once we arrived, I carry Lei in my arms as my stubborn brother was being dragged by Kaya, who was following me. We reached the apartment, and I placed Lei on my bed slowly, and tucked her in the blanket. I turned around and put Bolin to bed as well. I gave Kaya a bowl of water, and she drank it. I plopped down on the couch, and close my eyes to think of what to cook for lunch.

LEIs POV

I opened my eyes slowly and look around. A blanket was around me, and this place doesn't look familiar at all. I heard footsteps approaching, so I sat up. I didn't expect, however, to see Mako.

"Oh, you're awake, It's already noon," Mako said.

"What the hell am I doing here," I said angrily.

"Calm down, You were asleep when I found Bolin," Mako explained.

"Where is Bolin?" I asked.

"He was asleep, but he went down to the gym. He won't talk to me," Mako replied. I scoffed.

"Serves you right," I muttered, as I got up from the bed.

"Look, I didn't do that on purpose, alright, Korra kissed me," Mako retorted.

"Tell that to Bolin, not me," I said sternly.

"Are we okay?" Mako asked softly.

"Yeah, I guess, but you have to apologize to Bolin, still," I said.

"He's my brother, we always work things out," Mako said. There was an awkward silence.

"I cooked lunch," Mako said suddenly.

"Thanks, but I think I should be heading home," I said and I was about to go when I saw Kaya eating from a bowl.

"Hey, girl," I kneeled down and scratched her neck to soothe her.

Kaya suddenly ran behind me and went up to Mako. She was circling Mako, and gliding her sides into his legs. Mako petted her head.

"She likes you," I said, as I stood up.

"She's been doing this all morning," Mako said. I chuckled.

"You can freshen up here, I'll go down to the gym to give you some privacy," Mako said.

"Are you sure? I can just go home," I said. Mako shook his head.

"You're going to come back anyways, to watch the game right?" Mako said.

"Yeah, I guess," I said.

"Come on, It's the least I can do, since you took care of my brother last night," Mako said.

"Alright," I sighed.

"I cooked you some lunch, I put it on the counter. I'll be in the gym," Mako said, as he grabbed his gym bag.

"Thanks," I said. Mako nodded, and left the room.

I looked at Kaya, as she layed down on the floor to take a nap. As I was getting ready, I thought about Korra and the others, they were probably wondering where I am. I dismissed the thought for now, and thought of how I'm supposed to talk to Korra about the mess she has made. Again.
