Grian shut off the news for the 14th time today. It'd been a week since Sam said afew vague things about highschool, sowing the seeds of destruction. Thankfully, most of Grian's audience was defending him; they'd seen the video-clips Grian used to document his time at YHS, although he'd deleted them after shifting content from 'if I end up dead, this is what happened' to 'smps!! Building things! '

Other people, however, did not see this content. Meaning the rumors where growing at a rapid rate.

Grian missed the quiet. It'd been a while since he'd felt like this, gaslit and tarnished..

( start song) (read slowly)

Grian frowned at the camera, adjusting the bandages on his arm.

" Hello everyone! My name is Grian, and this is essentially my life story- just incase I end up dead. It's bound to happen, where I am. I'm pretty sure we're on episode 23. Today, me & Sam found 'Jerry'. Jerry is Taurtis, but Taurtis is like an amnesiac now, so he doesn't remember...

Sam told Jerry that I stabbed Taurtis, and when I said otherwise, they just sat there gaslighting me.. It feels like I'm in the center of a hurricane, and with one wrong step, I'm dead.

I don't think 15 y olds should feel like this.

Anyway, Sam also threatened me with a knife later & cut down my arm, hence the bandages- ah shit their already bloody.

Alright, Grian out, cross your fingers that I'm alive for next episode!"

Grian sighed, replacing the bandages and wincing at the sight of the bloody open wound. He wished Taurtis was back & wasn't pretending to be some rando named Jerry. It's pretty horrible to have your boyfriend become an amnesiac and proceed to gaslight you into oblivion...

Ah, such times Grian remembered oh-so bitterly. He remembers when Tokyo Soul started, and the universe collapsed, then someone had the brilliant idea to fundraise for him so he could escape. Total strangers, moved to kindness, by his story, raised enough from him to escape. Now, he was here.

Grian doesn't like thinking about what might've happened if he hadn't made those videos. So he continued, he started smps, he single-handedly invented unique game mechanics and started Wynncraft with some friends. He joined Hermitcraft. Grian had documented everything, from resisting the Watchers on EVO to creating a series meant to force them to watch the chaos that they loved, yet couldn't control or create. He created large mansions, castles, secret bases. He started revolutions, wars. Grian improved, too. He became a better builder, a better friend. Everything improved. Grian grew his fanbase. His social circle grew too.

His life was finally well.

Now, he's faced with this. He feels trapped in the hurricane again. There is only one way out.

Grian hates the idea, hates throwing it out into the world. He hates the fact that to save himself, to finally get justice, he must exposed what happened at YHS. He hated the fact, back then, that he couldn't seem to just die.

But now, Grian is willing to do whatever it takes to survive.

Grian published the video, fidgeting with some bandages on his arm. It was the 16th episode, about The Kissing Shed incident. How he'd almost escaped.

Almost.

Grian didn't know why he kept recording. Someone was bound to find out & Sam would finally end his life. Yet, he did. He recorded & recorded, making daily videos.

Maybe one day he'd get out.

And now, just like he had so many years ago, he had to publish it. Grian sits at his computer. It'll work! He'll overwhelm them with honesty.

This is the eye of the hurricane

Taurtis stood up, walking to where Sam sat, handcuffed.

The police came to collect Sam before he could say something more, and Taurtis went back to comforting Grian, when the entirety of the Hermits burst through the door.

" Now that he's gone, why don't we check in with Grian?"

James started to make his way over to the slumped sweater-wearing man, although he is blocked by Doc.

" Fuck you. Go away."

Doc shoved James, glaring and walking away to Grian, who was currently surrounded by everyone.

" hey, atleast I was honest, right?" Grian gave a half-hearted chuckle.

" It's almost ironic, in trying to ruin Grian's life, he ruined his own!"

The camera clicks off.

Carol slumps back.

" I can't believe the shit this kid had to go through- jesus, just watching 3 episodes.."

Cammy nodded, leaving the dark set with everyone else. Carol took a second to ask the gods, why? Why put the poor kid through all this?

She did not expect them to anwser.
