" Ask for Diamond, or #1, ok? You do not want to end up speaking to Blue."

That was what Grian had said to Jimmy, the impromptu leader of the little group. It was all people from the Life series, aiming to negotiate with the Watchers & get their freedom from the yearly endeavors made for their entertainment. Sure, it was good for the internet, but it was oh-so taxing on the participants.

This is how, after some Grian magic, they ended up infront of the dawning black gates. The gates that signaled their entrance into the Watcher's domain.

Ok, this is fine.

Jimmy, don't have a mental breakdown.

Martyn tapped on the gates, and something opened them. It looked like a bug made of pure void, which was strange to say the least.

" Here for the meeting? Keep walking forward 'till you reach the big purple building."

The Voidbug's words were scratchy, glitched even. Jimmy nodded and the group started walking quickly until they reached the building.

Jimmy knew he'd be doing the talking, so he forced some ounce of cool calm into himself before everyone entered the room, presented with a large Watcher at the head of a black table. The Watcher had blackened skin & multiple pairs of purple wings, although the tips seemed to be dyed blue.

Oh.

Oh no.

They'd gotten an audience with Blue, the same exact Watcher Grian said to avoid.

No, stop panicking. Jimmy fumbled with his argument papers, putting them on the table. Blue gestured  for him to talk, putting their feet on the table.

( start song now!)

" Okay, we've got alot to get through, and not alot of time.

And I feel like you never really heard us before, so here it goes."

Oh, what was Jimmy doing?

" I know the Life games are so much to watch, but it's a bad situation it's taking a toll-

For god's sake, we can't keep doing this, so if we just fixed up the games and maybe made them public.. Wait, I'm getting ahead of myself-"

Jimmy frantically moved through papers, praying he didn't seem weak. Pitiful worked, but not weak.

" I've seen how much magic it takes to transport us there, and it must be annoying to recharge each year.

If you made it public, with true consent, you can wave that chore farewell! It could be a happy day in-"

Blue stood up. Oh, that wasn't good. Jimmy cowered back into the small group of people that had come with him.

" Let me stop you there, save us all precious time.

If what you're suggesting is stopping the games, oh you'd rather have the choice?"

" Well, I mean-"

" Sorry, Canary, but there's no denying your fate!"

Blue floated above the table, glowing with power. Jimmy was dead, wasn't he?

" ' Cause the games are forever, whether you like it or not.

Xel had their chance to behave better, now your blood's in a pot!"

Blue was getting closer, and Jimmy was hyperventilating. Tango was trying to calm him with a hug, but he could only focus on the prospect of death.

" The rules are black & white, there's no use in trying to fight it!

Your burning in the Game until you kill eachother again~"

" Okay, but mass entertainment-"

Jimmy was now floating closer to the Watcher. Tango tried to grab him, and his wings were fluttering frantically.

" Just try to chillax bird, you're wasting your breath."

Blue played with him, dropping Jimmy and spinning him around with magic.

" Did I hear you imply Xel don't deserve death?

He's a winner, but a sinner, it's cut & dry.."

" Well, actually I never-"

Blue pressed a finger to Jimmy's lips when he tried to correct them.

" Fair is fair, and eye for an eye!"

Blue put an arm around Jimmy now, turning him to a now-appeared holographic screen playing the Life Games.

" When all's said & done..

There's the question of fun!"

There was a loud explosion sound from the screen, Grian's triple kill. His psychopathic laughter echoed, combined with Blue's own.

" For those of use with divine ordainment,

the Life Games is entertainment!"

Jimmy was then dropped onto the table, Tango pulling him into a hug and glaring up at Blue, who'd turned back to the group.

" BOWWWWNOWOW OWIWOWOW GUITAR SOLO FUCK YEASSSHHHH"

Blue mimed playing a guitar, landing on the table with a loud thump.

" The Life Games are forever, whether you like it or not!

Xel had his chance to behave better, now you'll all pay the price,

Cause the rules are black & white, there's no use in trying to fight it!"

The group had been backed into a wall, Blue steadily approaching with loud steps and a tainted grin.

" FUCKIN LIFE IS FOREVER & IT'S MEANT TO SUCK ALOT,

SO GIVE UP YOUR DUMB ENDEAVOR CAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE A SHOT!"

Blue loomed over them, their wings spread in a wide arc.

" LONG AS I'VE GOT YOUR ATTENTION, I GUESS I SHOULD MENTION...

THAT WE'VE MADE THE DETERMINATION,

TO MOVE UP THE NEXT SEASON!!"

" wait, what??"

Jimmy's eyes widened at the thought of going through another Life game.

" Can't wait a whole year to watch you slaughter your own,

I know it's been a week but we'll be back in SIX MONTHS!"

" uh- wait, no Blue, please-"

Blue snapped their fingers, encasing the group in a bright glow before they disappeared, back to the main hub.

" Aw, shit!"
