A/N- in the last few chapters, like since she went to Russia we are in 2015. So she is around 15-16 at this point. 

Monday Morning

Athena woke up to the loud beeping of her alarm clock. She looked at the time and saw that it was 6 in the morning. Athena groaned and practically rolled out of bed to force herself out. Athena walked over to the bathroom and started to get ready.

Once Athena deemed herself ready, she grabbed her backpack and started to put her Sophomore textbooks inside her bag. She walked out of her room and walked towards the cafeteria. She needed a quick breakfast before going to school.

Athena grabbed an apple and walked out of the cafeteria. She walked in the direction of Fury's office.   Athena needed the file about who she is spying on. 

Athena got to Fury's office and knocked. "Come in," He said and Athena opened the door and walked into the office. "You're here for the file on Parker?" Fury asked.

"Yeah," Athena said and Fury opened a drawer and handed Athena a file. "His hero alias is Spider-Man. Your mission is to be one of his friends and see if he's Avenger material. You will give your information to Stark," Fury said and Athena nodded as she walked out of his office as she opened the file.

To Athena's surprise, Peter Parker is very attractive. She quickly read over the file as she approached the exit. Athena walked out of the field base and tried to find the nearest bus stop. 

Once Athena got on the bus she realized that she was running a bit late. All Athena could think about was how she already had her schedule. Athena looked up and to her surprise she saw Peter Parker not too far away from her. 

Athena looked away and started to go through her phone to study her identity for this mission. She memorized her locker number and combo and any classroom numbers. 

The bus stopped and Athena got out and started the short walk to the school. Surprisingly enough, Athena was five minutes early. 

Athena entered the school and was immediately overwhelmed by the people and the noise. She tried her best to push past it and to find her locker. 

Once she did she placed her afternoon textbooks into her locker and shut it. "Hi, I'm Liz. I am class president and I wanted to say hi," said a pretty brown-haired girl. "I'm Athena. It's nice to meet you," Athena said.

"What's your first class?" Liz asked and Athena hesitated and looked down at her schedule. "I have homeroom with Mrs. Clarkson," Athena said and she smiled. "Me too. Normally, classes go by grades, but homerooms are a bit more lenient," Liz stated and Athena gave her a confused look. "Sorry, I'm a senior, so my classes are a bit different," Liz said.

"Oh, okay," Athena said.

"Oh! I can take you to the classroom. Come on, the bell is going to ring soon," Liz said and dragged Athena in the direction of the classroom. 

They entered the room and Liz took her seat and Athena took a nearby empty seat. She had looked around and noticed that Peter was also in the class. 

"Good morning, Class! Today we have a new student. This is Athena Brown," Mrs. Clarkson said and then she began to take roll. As she went down the list of names, Athena was trying to think of a plan on how to befriend Peter and hopefully get an insight on his hero life. 

The bell rang, which caught Athena off guard. The time went by fast. Athena stood from her seat and started walking in the direction of her next class. Athena tried to weave through the crowds, but at some points people would walk right in front of where she wanted to go. 

"Excuse me," Athena said as she pushed past them. Eventually she managed to get to her class right as the bell rang. She took a seat in a nearby empty seat as the teacher began his lesson.

Athena walked into the cafeteria and sat down at an empty table and began to eat the salad that the lunch lady was serving that day. As Athena began to eat her lunch, she heard someone sit across from her. She looked up and saw a girl with beautifully tanned skin and curly brown hair.

"Uh, hi," Athena said, she was shocked that anyone decided to sit across from her when there were so many other places to sit. "Hi," She replied in a monotoned voice. "I'm Athena," Athena introduced, hoping whoever this girl was would be her first friend.

"Michele but my friends call my MJ at least they would if I had any friends," The girl said.

"Nice to meet you, MJ," Athena said with a small smile as she continued to eat her salad again. Athena wasn't really focused on anything in particular so it was easy to pull her focus away. Which is what happened when she was about to take her last bite of her salad. 

"Did Liz get a new top?" She heard a voice ask from the other end of the table. "No, we've seen it before, but not with that jean skirt," Another voice said.

"We should probably stop staring before it gets creepy," The voice said and Athena finally looked over to see who was talking. To her surprise, she saw Peter and another guy she didn't recognize. 

"Too late, you guys are losers," MJ said and Athena tried her best to hide her laugh. She didn't want to come off as rude. "Then why do you sit with us?" The other guy asked.

"Because I have no friends," MJ said and Athena contemplated on whether or not to pretend being offended. "What about me?" Athena asked as she faked being hurt. "And her, I guess," MJ said.

She looked over at the guys and saw their confused expressions. "Oh! My name is Athena," Athena introduced, pretending like she didn't already know Peter's name. "I'm Peter and this is Ned," Peter said.

"Nice to meet you," Athena said and turned back to MJ and started talking to her. Actually, it was more like Athena talking to her and MJ just nodded along. Athena quickly noted that MJ isn't a talker.

Athena and MJ finished their lunch and walked with MJ to the girls locker room to get ready for gym. The bell had rung right as they were disposing of their garbage so it worked out.

Athena put on the Midtown High School gym uniform and walked into the gym. Athena started to do a few stretches since she didn't exactly know how gym classes worked. Without thinking, she slid into her splits. 

As she did MJ gave her a vaguely horrified look. "What?" Athena asked, confused by the reaction. "How did you do that?" MJ asked and Athena quickly thought up an excuse. "I used to dance," Athena said as she stood up and walked over to the bleachers.

Their gym teacher walked into the gym and began showing them an instructional video that included Captain America before partnering them off to do exercises.

Thankfully, Athena was partnered up with MJ so she didn't have to reintroduce herself to someone. Athena was on the ground doing her sit-ups when she overheard Liz and a few other girls talking about superheroes. "F Thor, marry Iron Man, and kill Hulk," A blonde girl said.

"What about Spider-man?" Another girl asked. 

"It's just Spider-man," The blonde replied.

"Did you guys not see the video of him taking down 4 guys?" Liz asked.

"Peter knows Spider-man," Ned exclaimed as the gym went completely silent. "No, I-I don't," Peter said as if he was panicking. For someone with a secret identity, he wasn't very good at keeping it a secret. 

"Yeah, their friends, like coach Wilson and Captain America," A guy said from behind Athena. "I've met him, yeah. A couple times through the Stark Internship, but I'm not supposed to talk about it," Peter said while looking at Ned.

"If you guys are friends then why don't you invite him to Liz's party?" The guy said and Athena continued doing her sit-ups.  She was curious how this was going to go.
