Chapter 1

Athena looked around the room and other exits out of the lab. The only problem was that she would be able to get there. "Yeah, you say peace I kinda think you mean the other thing," Fury said.

"Sir, Director Fury is stalling and dropping a hundred feet of rock on us. He means," Clint said and Athena then understood the extent of the situation. Clint was no longer on her side.

"You mean like the Pharaoh's tomb collapsing in on itself," Fury said and Fury looked over at Athena right as Clint held up his gun and shot Fury. Instead of the bullet hitting Fury, Athena used her powers to hold the bullet right in front of Fury's chest. Athena could feel blood begin to drip down her nose. It was like a warning sign of when she should stop using her powers.

"Get out of the way," Athena said, now giving up on her hiding spot. Fury moved out of the way and Athena released the bullet and it flew into the wall behind him. Athena turned her attention back to the enemy and tried her best to disarm them. The only problem was that Loki must've had a death grip on the spear because it wasn't budging. Then, Clint shot Fury. Athena couldn't catch it this time. "Agent Brown! Get out of here!" Fury said.

Athena followed his orders and left the lab as Clint and Loki left the lab also. Surprisingly enough, Fury wasn't too far behind her. "Hill, do you copy?" Fury asked as he held up a radio to his mouth.

Athena approached the garage right as Loki and Clint drove away. "Damn it," Athena said and as stray bullets got a little too close to her, she took cover. The three of them ran towards an empty car in hopes of catching up to them. Athena got in the backseat as the driver pulled out of the parking spot.

Fury took some sort of shortcut to make it so they appeared in front of Clint and Loki. Hill took out her gun and started to shoot at them through the windshield.

We chased after the car as the ceiling collapsed behind them. A few small rocks fell onto the car until large pieces of concrete fell on top of them making them unable to move. "A lot of men still under, don't know how many survivors," she heard Hill say.

"We are at war," Fury said.

Couple days later

Athena sat in her room. To say that the walls of her room were thin would be an understatement. She could hear every conversation in the hallway.

"We are restarting the Avengers Initiative?" The voice asked.

"Yes, and we need to talk to her. She is a recruit. A valuable asset," Another voice said.

"But she's just a kid. She's barely been training in combat for three years," the other voice said.

"Director Fury thinks she's ready and we got confirmation from her teacher that she has made progress. She will continue her training session, but that doesn't mean she won't be able to join the Avengers," the voice said.

"Alright, fine," the voice said and a knock sounded on her door. Athena walked over and opened it. "Hello Agent Coulson, what can I help you with?" Athena asked him, pretending like she didn't hear his conversation. "We are starting up the Avengers Initiative and we need as much help as we can get," Agent Coulson said.

"When do we start?" Athena asked.

"Once everyone gets here," He said and Athena nodded, then he walked out of the room. Athena grabbed a hair tie from her desk and put her hair up into a ponytail. She walked out of her room and towards the landing pad of the Helicarrier.

She walked onto the landing and noticed Agent Coulson getting off of a jet. "Agent Romanoff, Captain Rogers," Coulson introduced and Athena walked over to the three of them. "Agent Brown, aren't you supposed to be downstairs?" Coulson asked and Athena just shrugged.

"Yeah, but I needed some fresh air. Captain Rogers right?" Athena asked and the blond man nodded. "Yes," Captain Rogers said.

"This is Agent Athena Brown. She's one of our youngest agents here at Shield," Coulson said.

"They need you on the bridge, they are starting the face trace," Agent Romanoff said.

"See you there," Coulson said and walked away, leaving just Athena, Natasha, and Steve Rogers. To say that Athena was internally fan girling would be an understatement. "Finding you in the ice started quite the buzz around here," Natasha said and Athena's eyes widened as she looked at her watch. "Shit, I got to go. It was nice meeting you," Athena said to Captain Rogers and before running off and onto the Bridge.

Athena had just remembered that she had an homework assignment due. Even though there was a Norse god threatening the lives of the entire world, but apparently school is a higher priority.

She walked into her room and grabbed a backpack full of handouts and textbooks. Her main subject that was always due at the most inconvenient times, was math. She is taking Algebra 1 which is technically a level above what her grade normally studies, but she didn't mind it. The one thing she did mind was the due dates. She is a Shield Agent and she has to turn in math handouts. Not her idea of fun.

As she was writing down the answers to the problems, Athena felt the Helicarrier left up into the sky. "Agent Brown, come to the control room of the Helicarrier," Hill's voice said from a radio that Athena kept near her at all times. She set her pencil down and stood up while grabbing the radio. "I'm on my way. I'll be there in approximately five minutes or less," Athena said and she walked out of her room.

As Athena walked into the room she could hear Hill barking out orders as Fury controlled the Helicarrier. "Gentleman," Fury said to Captain Rogers and a man she hasn't met yet. "Doctor, thank you for coming," Fury said as he shook the man's hand.

"Agent Brown, I have someone I want you to meet. This is Doctor Bruce Banner," Fury said and Athena walked over to the man. "Agent Athena Brown, it's nice to meet you, Doctor," Athena said as she held her hand out for him to shake. "Nice to meet you to," He said as he shook her hand. "How long am I staying?" Dr. Banner asked, now turning his attention to Fury.

"Till we find the Tesseract," Fury said.

"You are dismissed," Fury said to Athena. In return she just gave him a weird look. "That's it? Just an introduction and I'm sent back to my room?" Athena asked.

"I said, you are dismissed, Agent Brown," Fury said and Athena walked out of the room.
