The Hulk set Athena down onto the ground and Athena began fighting off the other Chitauri in the area. Once she had a quick break, Athena stood there taking a deep breath. "Athena, behind you!" Clint yelled from somewhere nearby. Athena turned and she was hit in the stomach. Athena quickly summed her swords and as she recovered from the hit, the Chitauri warrior shot Athena's shoulder.

Athena screamed out in pain as she touched her shoulder. Warm blood was on her fingertips and she mentally swore at the situation she was in. Athena took this chance to stab the Chitauri warrior in the stomach and twisted the blade before pulling it out.

Athena stood up and placed her hand onto her shoulder to slow the bleeding. "The portals gone," Athena said as she looked up at the sky. "Are you okay?" Steve asked through the comms. "Yeah, all good," Athena said and she turned around and saw another group of Chitauri coming at her.

Athena's swords turned into blue electricity and she shot it at the group of Chitauri. Most of them burnt to a crisp, but there was still more. Athena created her swords once again and started fighting them off the best she could with her injured shoulder.

After awhile of fighting, the other Avengers joined Athena. "Athena! We need help!" Steve yelled from behind her. Athena turned around and saw the group completely surrounded by Chitauri warriors. Athena shot blue electricity towards the warriors and they all got electrocuted. "Nice," Natasha said.

"Thanks," Athena said.

The Avengers finished off the last of the Chitauri. They stood in the middle of the destroyed road taking in the destruction when a stinging pain shoot through Athena's shoulder. "Shit," Athena said.

"Are you okay?" Natasha asked and Athena put her hand on her shoulder. "One of the Chitauri shot my shoulder," Athena said through clenched teeth. "I'm fine. We need to get to Loki," Athena said and she walked closer to the Stark Tower.

They got to the Stark Tower and saw Loki trying to crawl away from them. They all gathered around him and Clint aimed his bow at him. "If it's all the same to you, I'll have that drink now," Loki said.

"Not an option," Athena said and she noticed blood dripping down from her nose. "Damn," Athena said and she wiped her nose.

Shield arrested Loki and took the Tesseract to a secure location. Athena got sent to the hospital wing on the hellicarrier and got stitches put into her shoulder.

After Athena was released from the hospital wing, she went to her room and changed out of her suit and met up with the other Avengers so they could meet up with Thor.

The group got to the meeting area and saw Thor walking in the middle of the driveway with Loki. Athena walked up with Natasha and Clint. "Goodbye, daughter of Brown," Thor said.

"Bye," Athena said and she walked over to Clint. "That was the weirdest goodbye ever," Athena whispered to Clint, causing him to laugh.

Thor grabbed the Tesseract and said his goodbyes to everybody else and walked to Loki. Thor held out the Tesseract so it sat between the two of them. Loki grabbed the Tesseract and they disappeared out of thin air. Athena walked over to her ride and got in. The driver drove to the nearest Shield base.

Athena walked into her room when she got back and laid down on her bed and fell asleep.

Athena woke up early in the morning and grabbed a snack before changing into workout clothes and walking to the training room.

Athena grabbed the practice guns and started shooting it at the target in front of her. Athena trained with multiple other weapons until she was interrupted. "I thought you weren't supposed to be doing that stuff," a voice said from behind her. Athena turned and saw Clint standing there.

"I'm technically not supposed to, but I'm bored," Athena said.

"I found a file," Clint said and Athena noticed a decently thick file in his hand. "What about it?" Athena asked.

"The file is about you. It has information on you from when you were a baby," Clint said and Athena stopped. "What?" Athena asked and walked over to him. Clint handed her the file and she opened her. "Thank you," Athena said and Athena walked out of the training room.

Athena opened her bedroom door and went inside and sat at her desk. She opened the file again and went through the papers before started reading through it.

Mothers memory of the child was removed and the father is unknown. Child in question has been tested on by an unknown serum. Child has been having weird behavior ever since she was brought here.

Athena stopped reading and looked through the file for her birth certificate and managed to find it.

Athena froze when she read what her mother's name. Natasha Romanoff is her mother. Athena could feel the anger boiling up at the fact that this was kept from her. Athena closed the file and walked out of her room.

She walked into Nick Fury's office with the file in hand and dropped the file onto his desk. "Why didn't you tell me?" Athena asked, clearly angry.

"Tell you what?" Fury said not looking up from what he was doing. "About my mother," Athena said and his head shot up. "We did it for your safety," Fury said.

"Really? My safety? Erasing my mothers memories of me was to keep me safe?" Athena asked now raising her voice. "We had to. It was our only choice. If we didn't, Hydra would have found you and took you back," Fury said.

"What? What do you mean?" Athena asked, now on the verge of tears.

"You were a test. They had a serum they wanted to test out to make more Black Widows. They wanted to make more because she was the best. The strongest. They injected her with the serum and it worked. 9 months later she gave birth to you. She was still with Hydra at the time and they trained you, but when she was on a mission she met one of our own. She started working for Shield and she brought you with her. But even at that point, Hydra was close on her tail. So, we erased her memory of you and took you away from her to keep you safe," Fury said.

Athena sat down and put her head in her hands. "We have to get her memories back," Athena said.

"We don't have them anymore," Fury said.

"What do you mean, 'you don't have them anymore?'" Athena asked.

"We sent them to another location so they would not be found," Fury said.

"Where?" Athena asked and he looked down and sighed. "They are in the Shield base in Russia," Fury said.
