T H E THREE WERE NOW at Emily's house. Eden had grown extremely nervous, gone was her happy mood and now instead she was a nervous wreck. Bella seemed to relate as she wrapped her arm around the were-coyote with a small panicked smile. It seemed the girl could always see through her cold eyes. 

"Are you sure this is a good idea? I'm a 'vampire girl', remember?" Bella asked before the door suddenly burst open making Eden jerk in surprise. Jared, Paul, Embry and Quil all walked out, somehow managing to not stumble while they shove food down their throats.

She hoped they weren't mad at her for ignoring Jacob and much to her surprise, one of them; Embry, gave her a bright smile when he saw the two.

"Look who's back"

"What's up, girls?" Quil gave a small smirk as he leaned against the porch. Eden wasn't sure if she could remember him but it seemed as though Bella knew who he was as her eyes widened in surprise.

"Quil, you too?"

"Yep, finally made the pack" he said before pausing, "I'm obviously Quil, and you must be Jacob's long lost love...?"

"Eden" She introduced herself before giving Jacob a confused glance. The shifter was too busy glaring at the younger boy, as if sensing they were going to embarrass him.

"I'm glad you're here. Maybe we can get a break from Jake's obsessive inner monologue" He joked and this seemed to set off the other boys who began to loudly laugh. Eden could feel her cheeks begin to redden as she grew confused and nervous. She had no idea what they were talking about and this made her want to quickly disappear. 

"I wish Eden would call"

"I wish Eden wouldn't ignore me"

 
"Maybe I should call Eden"

"Maybe I should call Eden and hang up"

The boys all began to joke over each other, as Eden's mouth grew wide opened. So it was Jacob who'd randomly call her on a random number and suddenly hang up in the middle of the night. Sensing Eden's realisation, he began to jokingly yell at the boys to shut up.

They all began to fight each other and this made the were-coyote smile, she had always wanted a family like this. When she was younger it was just her and Edward against the world. Before the vampires, Demetri and the Cullen's, however they were never happy like them. They were always worrying whether she'd starve the next day or be found dead by the hands of her parents. She was happy things changed for most people.

Maybe it was for the best her and Edward no longer had a close bond. He had a family, and all she had was Jacob. 

Eden felt Bella suddenly shift nervously, she followed her gaze and noticed a slender girl with cropped black hair glaring at Bella. 

"This is Leah Clearwater, Harry's daughter" Jacob introduced her before standing next to Eden, wrapping his arm around her. She removed her arm from Bella and instead replaced it with Jacob's.

"Hey, I'm really sorry about your father" Bella apologised and soon Eden realised who he was. Her dad was the guy who died when her and Bella nearly drowned. Awkward. It seemed as though the girl realised the were-coyote finally existed. Her eyes narrowed to where Jacob's arm laid.

"If you're here to torture Jacob some more, feel free to leave. It seems that what imprinting likes to bring" The female shifter snapped, glaring at Eden. She felt her claws come out as a growl left her lips, and before she could lunge at the female wolf who was anticipating her next move, Jacob held her back. His arm grabbing hers, and moving her closer to him. Her back now laid directly against his chest and this helped soothe her down.

"Relax," he whispered before slowly moving closer to her cheek, "don't let her get to you." Eden let out a huff before quickly giving the girl the middle finger. She'll one day get her revenge, and unknowingly to her, Jacob seemed to be thinking the same thing; giving Leah a glare, however his plan was less violent and more in the lines of a lecture. Before Leah could say anything else, Sam and Emily come out from their house. This made Eden perk up. She had missed Emily's presence and it's been way too long. Clearly, Leah feelings the exact opposite, she gave Bella and Eden one final glare before walking away.

"Bella.. Hi. Hey, I was wondering when we'd see your face around here again" Emily greeted her happily before moving to Eden with a hug. Eden gave her a kiss on the cheek before hugging her tightly, "Hi" she said with a grin. The human laughed and squeezed her before letting her go, "Hello."

"Sam, we're good?" Jacob interrupted their moment and instead focused on Sam. This piqued Eden's interest, and it seemed Bella's as well as the two girls discreetly moved closer to the two shifters.

"We're good. She won't be getting through our line anytime soon" He replied before nodding to the other boys who were goofing off the entire time. It seemed to be some kind of signal as they all began to make their way to the forest's edge. Sam and Emily began to have an intimate moment, making Bella awkwardly cough and look away as if she and Edward don't do that type of thing on a daily occurrence. Eden noticed their moment hadn't affected only one person, as Leah who stood far from them glared and shifted before moving to the woods.

It seemed a lot has changed from the last time she was here and she wasn't sure how she was supposed to feel about that. She guessed it's one of those, "what ifs". Jacob distracted the were-coyote from her thoughts by grabbing her hands, intertwining them together and walking towards his house. Eden arched her head to Bella, who soon followed after them.

A small smile began to form on her lips, she felt as if she was Bella's mum, older sister, whatever it may be, she felt as though she was Bella's protected and it brought warm feelings to her heart. It was nice knowing someone relied on her.

"So, when did Leah join the pack?" Bella asked, this question clearly lingering on her mind ever since she had met the girl again. Eden squeezed Jacob's arm to feel his strong muscles, much to her delight focused on Jacob's scent. She wasn't sure she'd ever get used to it.

"Around when her dad died. Her brother, Seth, also phased," Jacob replied, looking straight ahead. "One of the youngest we've had. Sam keeps him home studying, but he's chomping at the bit. Wish it was Leah who'd stay home"

Eden let out an ugly snort at that whilst Bella shook her head, disagreeing, "Come on, don't be such a guy".

"No, no, it's not a chick thing. It's.. you know, a triangle thing. We all have to live the Leah, Sam, Emily pain-fest. Wolf telepathy, remember" Jacob explained as he rubbed his thumb over Eden's soft hands, distracted in thought. This made her wonder what it would've been like if the Cullen's never let her leave. Would there be a triangle between Jacob, Bella and Edward?

"So, Sam dumped Leah for Emily?" Eden asked, this made Jacob look at her softly with a small smile.

"Not really. Sam hates himself for hurting Leah, but Emily was the one, babe."

"Yeah I guess it sort of chooses you sometimes" Bella muttered deep in thought. This made Eden snort. Her and Edward may be in love, but their love may never compare to imprints, never.

It seems as though Jacob thought the same, he shook his head with a frown before disagreeing, "It's more than some crush, Bella. Sam imprinted on Emily"

"Can you explain what imprinting? I'm still not sure" She nervously asked, and this made Eden straighten up. She tugged on Jacob's shirt once she saw him ready to explain. A simple, nice way of telling him to shut up really.

"Oh babes, it's amazing. Imprinting is like when you see him, everything changes all of a sudden. It's not gravity holding you to the plant, no it's him" Eden softly said before gazing Jacob in the eyes. It seemed as though everything around them slowed down and it was only them in the world, "Nothing else matters. You would do anything... be anything for him"

By the time they finished talking about imprints, the three had arrived at Jacob's garage. It seemed as though the two had planned to fix motorcycles. Eden let out a sign in boredom and began to zone out as she walked around the garage before she suddenly heard Jacob's voice rise.

"Not in a month. I meant not before you've, you've even lived," Jacob raised his voice, his arms swinging around. Eden's eyes widened in surprise, she hadn't seen him this angry in a while. "Fuck Bella, he's got his hooks in you so deep"

"I decided this, not him" She argued back, her arms crossed. Eden quickly moved to Jacob's side once she realised what the fuck they were on about. It seemed that she had dropped the news to Jacob that she was becoming a vampire after graduation. Eden couldn't decide if she was happy or not. Clearly it was Bella's choice, but becoming a vampire changes everything. She had witnessed it first hand with someone she loved.

"Bella, they're not even alive. It makes me sick better you be really dead than one of them" He spat out, before realising what he said. Bella's eyes widened in hurt as Eden took a step back from her soulmate. She had never heard such spite from his usually calm voice. She was shocked that such a decision would bring these feelings out of him.

"I can't believe you said that. Edward was right, I shouldn't have come"

"What the fuck Jake?" Eden swore, she turned and faced him. The shifter was pouting, he was pouting as if he was the one who got told they'd rather see him dead then become a vampire. "What's your issue?"

"I'm sorry, I see her as my younger sister now, and knowing she's going to become a vampire before she's even lived is not exactly a nice thought" He defended himself before pouting. Eden felt her gaze soften as she took a step closer to him, finally linking their arms between their chests.

"Go apologise to her right now," She said before slowly moving her head towards his ears. She could feel the heat off his body and his breathe hitch the closer she got, "or else I'll fucking kill you" and with that Eden gave him a light kiss on the cheek and a slap on the bum. He rolled his eyes before they widened, realising Bella was still walking away.

"Bella, come on, please I'm sorry" Jacob quickly apologised, however she continued to walk away. He looked at Eden pleadingly who let out a quiet growl and walked up to Bella. It was obvious he went too far and Eden will be making him regret that later, but for now she had to fix things. He was a lost puppy who has yet to realise words hurt, and Eden could feel herself grin at the thought of the shit she'd do to him.

"Babes come on, you know he doesn't mean that" Eden softly explained to the human. Her eyes were full of tears and it took her a long beat for her to recover from the hurtful comment. However she bravely nodded and held Eden's hand. Together they walked back to the garage.

"We should stick to safer subjects, like motorcycles"

Eden let out a loud groan, quickly realising they were going to fix dirty motorcycles. As much as she loved watching her soulmate sweating in a sight shirt- sometimes even shirtless, it becomes boring after a while. She rolled her eyes before staring at his perky ass. Eden smirked wickedly and as if he could feel her stare, he turned around and began to quickly blush before stuttering to Bella, attempting to continue whatever they were talking about.
