Lilith POV

A few hours went by and before I knew it, it was time to go. The manor felt empty but it was packed with death eaters talking about the night to come.

"The dark lord will succeed tonight." An old looking death eater said while crossing his arms.

I scoff as I look over to Draco. He walked slowly out of the near by kitchen. "Where did you go?" I keep my voice low.

"No where important." Draco replies bluntly as he skimmed his eyes across the room. He looked confused. As though he was looking for someone or even something.

"Alright..." My eyebrows knit together as I stand beside him. "Who you looking for?"

"No one."

I question, "Are you okay?"

"Yes."

"Are you sure because you don't look too good-" I get cut off.

"God Lilith. How many more questions?" Draco huffs as he avoids eye contact.

"Just a few. Do you know what we have to do when we arrive at Hogwarts?"

"Fight." Draco hesitates as his eyes fall upon me. "We flight, Lilith." He repeats himself.

I look around the room. Woman and men surrounding each other, chattering and shaking. It's like I could feel their neves build up. "We're on the wrong army." I say quietly in hope no one hears us.

"Theres nothing we can do."  Draco hissed. "We just have to get through the night and everything will be normal again."

"It'll never be normal." I say slowly. "We know that, and we need to start acting like it. What ever side wins will still make an impact on our day to day life." I pause. "for example; if the dark lord goes through with his plan and succeeds god knows what will happen. Everything we ever knew will be destroyed. Including ourself."

"But if Potter wins-"

"Then your family will suffer."

"I'll take the chance." Draco sends a fake smile my way.

I smile as I see death eaters walk out of the manor one by one. "I guess what means we have to follow them." I turn towards the door as I feel a tight grip around my wrist.

"Wait." Draco says quietly as the room becomes empty. I feel him pull me backwards closer towards him as his eye glaze over. His cold lips press against mine as our hands intwine with each other, side by side. He pulls away as a smile spreads on his face. "I don't know whether that will be our last kiss after tonight." His smile fades.

"You cant think like that." I frown as I hear my name being called from my mother. "I love you." I shout as I head towards the great wide doors. "I'll see you just before the battle." I turn around towards my mother as she gives me a hopeful smile. "Wheres dad?"

She shrugs.

~*~

Hogwarts looked dim, The clouds held low in the sky as many death eaters talked quietly to themselfs. I stood inside the Hogwarts grounds. I easily snuck back into the school from being a student.

Everything seemed so peaceful for a minute. No noise. I looked around the empty corners as I remembered many memories; a time where Draco grabbed my wrist and pulled me around the coriander's while laughter escaped both our lips, a time where Luna told me secrets and gossiped around her day to day life, a time where everything was so simple.

I walk around alone as I hear my own shoes tap along the floor. I take in every section of the castle before the war. It killed me inside knowing that in less then an hour the school will be destroyed.

50 minutes later:

Draco turned the corners, I jumped back slightly as he grabbed my arms together, squeezing my shoulders. "Woah." I said quickly.

"You alright?" He replied with no hesitation.

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine." I pause as his grip around me lightens. "Are you?" I question with concern.

"Honestly... no."

I send him a small smile as he followed, but it didn't last long. The ground shook, I looked towards Draco as pure panic glazed over his eyes.

"I think it's time." I tell him while looking deep into his grey eyes.

He nods slowly.

The corridors that were once quiet were now filled with students fearing each other while they wander the halls, younger ones crying in the corner. My chest dropped as I turned back around to Draco. He was gone.

I let out an uneven sigh as I run towards the Hogwarts main grounds. Death eaters took out their wands as they pointed it at the innocent children. Not thinking twice about the consequences. I stand in the far right corner of the grounds as I watch over everyone. Each side had their wands pointing towards each other but none of them casted a spell, all until a second year tried. My eyes widened as I saw students risk their lives for a school which might not even be standing later on tonight.

Flashing lights went off everywhere as mythical creatures appeared across the grounds. I walked forward unsure on what side to fight. I looked for my parents but they wouldn't near. I looked for Draco but he wasn't either.

Green lights hit people as their body's fell to the floor, people cried, people morned and people died. I looked lost in the war.

I hear Luna shout my name as I walk towards her quickly, hiding in a half broken doorway. "Lilith!" She wrapped her arms around me as I feel her squeeze get tighter.

Her arm was bleeding and so was her forehead slightly. I hadn't seen her since the time we brought her back from the dead. She looked well, as well as can be right now.

My eyes linked to the blood on her arm. The blood on her forehead. It wasn't the time i told myself as my hunger grow. "You should go." I say quickly.

"We," Luna corrected. "We should go."

"I'm fine." I lie. "I don't need to go, I'm immortal remember."

"That doesn't stop you from getting seriously hurt." Luna reaches out to me.

"Better me then you." I smile weakly.

"Better if this all could be over." She bit her lip nervously but her eyes widened moments later. "I need to find Harry Potter!" She perked. "I think I can- can help him." She didn't wait before she ran off down the corner.

I huffed as I looked back onto the Hogwarts ground. All the children losing their lives and here I am. An immortal, standing in the corner watching dead bodies lie on the floor.

Staring at the students getting hurt made my chest drop. I looked around again as I saw a ginger boy crash down onto the floor, I widened my eyes as he looked recognisable.

"Freddie!" A young girl screamed out from behind a group. Her ginger hair slipped over her shoulders as she ran over to what looks like her brother. The young girl held her brother in her arms as tears stemmed down her face.

Moments later, an older ginger lady strode past people, quickly pushing them out the way. She took one look at the boy on the ground as the colours in her face faded away. She touched her daughter shoulders as she moved her to the side. "Ginny, dear. Please go somewhere safe I will take care of this."

I looked away as my heart broke for their family. I walked out towards the fighting as I turned around in circles looking for Draco.

But I couldn't see him.

His hair is bright enough and I still I find him, I laugh to myself.

I panicked as I see more people fall to the floor. I bit my lip nervously as I thought of the worst. I stood standing as I see a blond haired man walking towards me slowly. His heard bowed low. It didn't look like Draco, but he never looked like his true self nowadays.

"Time to go." He whispered to me while grabbing my wrist.

I furrow my eyebrows as I look at him strangely. "What? No? We have to say and-"

"And what? And risk our lives for people who don't care about us?" Draco's voice got louder.

"That's not the point."

"We don't have a side to fight for, Lilith." He said. "Now let's get out of here."

"No."

"No?"

"This is our school and we can't let it get taken over by the dark lord." I way quickly.

"God. Lilith. You sound like a bloody Gryffindor." Draco huffed as he try pull me along.

I relax slightly as I ease my strength of pulling myself back. Draco's face also relaxed as a weak smile spread across my face.

Everything around me felt so peaceful when he looked at me, but I knew it wasn't. I knew this night would be the end for many people.

"LILITH!" I hear someone shout from a far. I turned my head towards the caller of my name but my eyes got caught on something much brighter. Something much worst.

A green life floods towards me as I see an old death eater waving their wand at me finishing off his spell, "Avada Kedavra." I inhaled a large breath as my eyes opened widely. I take a step back but just before I put my last foot onto the floor someone pushed me to the floor, shielding me from the spell. I felt the distance between the floor and me close as my shoulder slammed against the concrete floor.

I didn't notice I squeezed my eyes shut until I reopened them again, but this time it was different. This time the green light was gone. My eyes search for Draco as I look over the crowds, but he wasn't there to be seen. I look down at my feet as a sudden gasp overwhelmed me.
