T H I R T Y S I X

In my story the war is linked to year 6 due to the fact that Draco isn't as involved in the deathly hallows part one. So the two years will be linked.

Also, I calculated that I have around 5 chapters left of this story and I'm going to try my best to post them all close together. I have a new story idea but I'm not 100% sure if I want it to be Draco or OC yet but I will come to the conclusion once I finish writing this book.

We walked back to the manor slowly, avoiding eye contact. There was a cold, bitter feeling in the air which caused Draco and I to shiver. Draco didn't seem too creeped out by the daunting feeling as much as I did. He started picking up the pace once we got closer towards the manor.

Once we got close another, I noticed the large front door open widely I turn towards Draco as he shrugs, the cold air ran through my spin as I stepped forward, heading towards the open doors.

Maybe we left the doors open when we left?

Maybe someone just arrived at the manor and they hadn't yet closed the door?

Maybe the harsh wind caused the door to open freely without anyone releasing?

I knew something was different. Something which was coming which would change not just mine, but many lives. I anxiously walked through the doorway and into the manor. I creased my eyebrows as an oddly, rememberable smell blew through my nose.

I turn towards Draco, he didn't look like he knew what was going on, but neither did I. I could hear faint chattering coming from another room near by. I focused as I tried to ears drop into their conversation. It was hard to hear, everything sounded ruffly. I could only pick up on a few words, which barely made a sentence.

War. Potter. Elder wand. Chosen.

Draco scratches his head as he looks confused. The manor was dim lit as I hear footsteps follow behind me. I look over one shoulder as I see a familiar face, an unforgettable face. Bellatrix. She held her wand closer towards her as approached through the doors. Her curly hair looked messier then usual but it suited her. More footsteps came in front of me as I turned my head back around and faced Narcissa.

"Ahh, Cissy!" Bellatrix smirked as she recalled her sister.

"Bella." Narcissa replied hastily.

"Have you heard?" Bellatrix smiled as Narcissa slowly nods. "The boy will be dead by tonight!" Bellatrix squeaks as she clips her hands together in excitement.

My eyes widen as I replay what she said into my head several times. "The boy? meaning Harry- Harry Potter." I say with more energy then I insisted.

"Yep!" Bellatrix beams her rotten teeth in my direction. "Is the dark lord here?" She continued.

Narcissa clears her through as she stands up tall. Her dress flowing down beside her, elegantly. "Not yet but I'm sure he's not too far."

I hear heavy breathing next to me as I move my eyes over towards Draco. I only move my eyes and not my full head hoping I don't draw attention to him. His hands are in his pockets, as usual. As I notice his leg tapping against the floor, nervously.

A small crackly laugh came from Bellatrix as she looks over towards our direction, her facial expression changed, and I couldn't tell if it was a good thing or bad. "Are you going to be taking part in this battle or stand by like cowards." Her strained voice filled the room.

I start. "We'll be part-"

"Participating. We'll fight." Draco finishes.

I give him sympathetic smile. "Good." Bellatrix said while the side of her smile digs into her cheeks.

I look around the room again but to no surprise my father is not here. I notice my mother standing in the corner with her arms crossed. Wearing black jeans, a navy blue top tucked in along with a black blazer. It would be out of the ordinary to see her wearing such bright clothes as she used too, I remember her showing photos to me of when she was back in college she would mostly wear the colours; pink and blue. I could tell she missed those times of her life.

"Once the dark lord arrives we shall be off." Bellatrix smirks as she lets out another sinister laugh.

"Off where?" I whisper towards Draco.

He shrugs. No excretion except a simple move of the shoulders.

"Speak up..." Bellatrix interrogates. "Speak up or you shouldn't speak at all." She raises one eyebrow at me as I look at her head to toe.

I don't reply for a moment as I look around the room once again. "Where are we going?" I speak slowly.

I wasn't afraid of Bellatrix and nor should I be but she knew the power she held against the wizarding world. She knew that people feared her, trembled just by hearing her name, and she likes it. A young girl like me was nothing to her whether or not I was immortal.

"To kill Harry Potter, of course."  She uplifted her voice making a shiver go down my back.

I looked over to Draco as he looked over to me. The fear in his eyes took over him. His hands were shaking as they now hang low beside him. Draco never liked Harry for many reasons, he yet hasn't told me about, but he knew Harry didn't deserve death.

The room went silent as our heads held low. My mother looked scared, it look like death happened right in front of her eyes. Her mouth opened partly as she breathed surely. She looked empty without my father by her side. She looked alone.

The hairs of my neck arises when I hear an older death eater shout. "He's here!" My hands automatically go sweaty. Draco's heart beat was all I could hear, rising at every second. I shifted towards him as our fingers connected together. I squeezed his hand but no movement or words in return. I look up towards him as he looked stunned.

"Hey..." I whisper.

No reply.

"Hello?" I whisper again.

Still no reply.

"We'll be okay. Just have to get through the next couple of hours." I reassure him hoping it helped. I could still hear his heart beat getting faster. Faster then I knew a heart could go. "Remember our promise?"

No reply.

I answer for him, "We'll be okay. Always."

He nods.

"We shall be off then." Bellatrix hackles while nodding at Narcissa.

Our life started a while ago, but yet I still feel like it is just about to begin.

Draco POV

Many death eaters strode into my house, back and forth. Lilith went over towards her mother as I stay standing. Frozen. In the middle of the entrance hall, I watch familiar death eaters lurk around, apparition towards the Dark Lord.

I hear a small whisper of someone calling my name. I look around the room but everyone looked busy talking to one another.

"Malfoy." The whisper appeared again.

I look towards the kitchen door as it closes. I furrow my eyebrows as I head towards the door.

"Hello?" I call out.

"Good. You heard me." A lower voiced man spoke from the opposite side of the kitchen island.

"Klaus." I stare at him with wide eyes, as he towered over me.

He doesn't reply. He pushes a full glass of liquid towards me as I move my hand forward to catch it. I watch carefully at him.

His movements.

His facial expressions.

"Drink it." He said while taking a sip out of a small glass filled with something that smelt like Bourbon.

I don't question him. I drink the liquid as a sour taste lingers in my throat. "What the fu- that was that?"

"Bourbon." He smiles.

Klaus didn't like me and it was obvious. I was the cowardly boy who feel in love with his daughter.

I nod as I take another forceful sip.

"Protect my daughter," Klaus said. "Later."

"I would always." I nod.

Klaus poured more bourbon into his glass as he looked away from me. Even while his daughter is immortal he still looks out for her. Still cares for her like she is a china doll sat on the edge of a tall cabinet.
