Still Draco POV

It was the day most people were leaving for winter break, except Lilith. As I promised I had been helping her the last 2 weeks. I have started to notice coincidences every time Lilith was around blood, she will start to breath heavy, cover the veins around her eyes with her hair which most days she kept down incase she encountered blood, she would also fidget her hands and start picking at her nails. Umbridge is still controlling the school there as been a few times I have lashed out on her for her stupid rules but she seemed to find it funny which just angers me more. Lilith and I have been getting on exceptionally well, better then I thought actually, she had opened up to me lately about everything and everyone in her family. She trusted me, and I trusted her.

It was the early hours of the day, it was freezing cold standing at Hogsmeade Station all the first years were fussing over who to sit by, I rudely barged my way through and made my way to the train entrance with Blaise and Pansy following behind me.

When we all sat down the train instantly took off. Pansy and Blaise were sitting next to each other talk about nonsense as I stare out the winder worrying about seeing my father and how he was going to react to seeing me. on the other hand, I could not wait to see my mother and get away from all the school work.

"So what do you think, Malfoy?"

I snapped back into reality from being in deep thoughts.

Blaise repeated his question. "So what do you think?"

"About what?"

"Lilith." Blaise replied. My eyes quickly sharpened at him .

"What about her?" I tried to pull a disgusted face to cover up that me and her are some what friends.

"She is a little peculiar, don't you think?" Pansy spoke with much energy.

"No." I replied in a more defensive tone then expected, Both Pansy and Blaise stared at me like I lost my mind.

"C'mon mate" Blaise turned his head to Pansy to let out a little chuckle before turning back at me. "You're not catching feelings for the new girl?" Blaise jeered while eyeing me up and down from across the table.

"You're out you're mind, Never." I stated.

Blaise let out a little laugh along with Pansy.

"She acts rather strange." Pansy said while looking out the window, avoiding eye contact with everyone.

I gave them both a hard glare before returning back to my deep thought

Blaise and Pansy kept bickering to each other the rest of the train ride which left me alone with my thoughts. Never a good idea.

Trying to get off the train in such a hurry alway caused me to get hit in the leg by my own trunk while walking. I looked over to see if Pansy or Blaise was near but neither one of them seemed to noticed I dashed off.

Once I arrived at the manor the atmosphere felt weary, I burst through the wide entrance doors dropping my trunk on the floor hoping one of the house elf will sort it out.

I heard people walking at a fairly fast paste around the corner, my heart sunk when I noticed it was my father. To be honest he looked exhausted, my mother on the other hand always looked smart and well presented.

As my mother got closer she widened her arms and pulled me into a warm hug.

"Glad you're home safely." My mother whispered quietly in my ear. I gave her a small smile and a quick nod.

I turned to look at my father who was standing to the left of my mother, he had his arms crossed and was standing up tall. I didn't bother acknowledging him as I slide past him causing him to let out a forced cough.

I didn't want to turn around, it was the last thing I wanted to do right now. Rolling my eyes I turn slowly to look at both my parents. My mother gave me another small smile as my father looked as though he was trying to find sometime witty to say.

"This is a waste of my time." I whispered under my breath hoping neither of my parents would overhear me. I turn quickly and stormed out the entrance room.

Reaching the entrance of my room I could hear small whispers coming from down the corridor, choosing to ignore them I opened the door widely to reveal the cold air, I instantly flopped on the bed and closed my eyes.

I opened my eyes hastily to the sound of knocking against a hard wooden door, it took me a minute to realise it was at my bedroom door, I rub my eyes and slowly tried to get used to the bright lights I slowly stumble over and turn the doorknob.

A small house elf standing at the door, his large green eyes stared up at me, he had a pencil-like nose and bat-like pointed ears. he let out a small cough before speaking.

"Your mother wanted me to tell you dinner is served."

I let out a small groan before barging my way past the house elf. I dragged my feet along the corridor floors until I reached the dining room door. Before entering I could hear my mother and father speak. It seems as though my mother was trying to whisper but my fathers mouth was to big to stay quiet.

"It is what is best for him!" My fathers voice demanded.

Silence.

"...Did you hear back from them, Lucius?" My mother asks in a calm tone.

My fathers footsteps were pacing around the room. "Yes."

"What did they say about their daughter?"

"They do not want her involved." My fathers tone turned serious. "There family is very powerful compared ours, Narcissa." My father paused. "The Mikeasons were great help back in the day to Our Lord, I'm sure they shall not disappoint again."

Silence, except the heavy footsteps getting closer.

My father peered around the corner noticing me. "Well then?" A small sinister smile spread across his face.

I swiftly swept past him still not acknowledging him and entered the dining room, my mothers eyes were red and puffy as though she had be crying, she quickly turned her head to hide her teary eyes as I walk in to take a seat.

I picked around my food as I thought in worrisome why my mother had been crying and what has you-know-who got to do with the Mikealson family.

All possible scenarios were flooding through my head. I could only imagine the worst when it came to you-know-who being involved.

My mother slurped on her tea which caused me to hesitate before looking up, she gave me a weak smile before trying to fill the awkward silence. "So, how is school?"

My mother would ask we the some question every time I see her and every time it would be the same reply in return. School has never been 'good' but its easier to to tell her that. "Good." I lied.

My mother gave me another smile but this time with more meaning, as always my father let out a scoff.

"problem?" I asked in a sarcastic manor.

"Don't use that tone at me otherwi-"

"Lucius!" My mother snapped while interrupted him, she furrowed her eyebrows, piecing her eyes at my father at the other end of the table.

My father let out a huff and continued eating along with my mother, I just sat there staring straight ahead towards the door hoping his meal won't take any longer then necessary.

Lilith POV

Everything was boring after everyone left to leave for the holidays, there was only a few remaining Slytherins staying in the castle as most of them left to spend time with their wealthy family's.

I was walking around the Hogwarts grounds hoping to see someone I knew but there was no sign of any one.

Soon after my walk I saw a familiar looking girl, she had straggly, waist-length, dirty blonde hair. It was Luna. A sigh of relief escaped out of my mouth as I walked over to her, as I got closer she noticed me walking up to her, she gave me a cheerful wave and a goofy smile. The time I reached her she quickly pulled me into a warm embrace.

"Not going home for the holidays?" She asked me while fiddling with a strand of her pale hair.

I quickly had to think of some excuse to why my mother and father don't want me there. "Um, no, my parents are too busy working." I half lied, I mean they were working but I don't know who with or what its about.

Luna gave me a sympathetic smile. "Oh, I'm sorry." she looked around the surroundings before continuing. "At least you have me!" she eagerly continued. "We can spend a lot more time together."

Uncontrollable a small smile beamed across my face. Luna was very unique in her own way but thats what made me want to get to know her even more. "I would love that." I responded.

"Great." Luna replied, returning a big smile back. "You seem stressed." Luna asked me in worrisome.

To be completely honest, I had been stressed. Stressed about my mother and father and why they didn't want me home, stressed about Draco finding out I was a hybrid, Stressed about putting either him and everyone else at this school at risk of who I am.

"Um, I'm fine." I lied, giving her a fake smile.

"That doesn't sound promising."

There was no one I could trust more at this right moment but there was no way I could tell her the real reasons why I am truly stressed.

I let out a nervous laugh. "I'm fine, don't worry." I tried to give her a ensuring smile.

"You don't need to hide your emotions from me, I'm your friend, Lilith." She gave me a comforting smile before continuing. "I have noticed you have been looking more on edge over the last two weeks, are you sure you are alright?"

Has it really been that obvious, I thought to myself. "Just stressed about school, thats all-" Luna quickly interrupted.

"Lilith. Be honest."

"Well..." I hesitated. Its Luna. I can trust her, more then anyone. "Its um... Its that I-" I hesitated once again. Luna was looking at me with an intrigued look on her face. I bit my lip nervously. "I'm..." I stoped talking.

"You're what?" Luna stepped towards me.

I looked around to see if anyone was near, but to my luck we were alone. "A hy-brid." My words came out separated. I looked up to see Luna reaction but it didn't change, she was still smiling at me, she didn't step away, in fact it looked like she had gotten closer.

"You mean half wolf, half vampire?" Luna asked eagerly.

I was shocked by her enthusiasm, I expected her to be startled but she wasn't. At all.

"Yes" I replied in a shy tone.

Luna eyes quickly brightened and a warm smile appeared still. "Thats so interesting!" Luna said in a joyful way.

Confusion was the only way I could describe how I was feeling. She wasn't scared of me.

"I want to know everything!" Luna continued, she grabbed my wrist and pulled me to a near by seating area. I looked around once more to see if anyone would be able to over hear us but thankfully no one was around.

Luna sat just on the end of the bench looking at me with big silvery eyes. "Lilith! come on! I am exited!"

A comforting feeling filled my body as I started to answer all her questions. She asked me near-enough the same ones Draco asked me, except from a few different ones.

"How do you walk in daylight?"

I pointed to a silver necklace with a small infinity sign on my neck. "It has some sort of spell on it to help me walk in sunlight." Luna eyes widened in amaze.

"One last question..." She paused. "Have you ever k-killed anyone?"

My hands got sweaty, I started biting down on my lip. Memories rushed through my head.

"No." I lied.

Luna nodded and let out a sign of relief along with a little laugh.

I didn't expect her to be so exited and intrigued in me, I thought she would be scared and afraid but she wasn't at all, she made me completely forget about all the stresses.

Everything was going just fine.
