Keefe's Pov

"CRASH!"
Me and foster both turned at the sound but I couldn't see much even with my neverseen night vision training. I looked to my side to see a faint outline of Sophie. She was walking forward tracing her hand along the lockers. Smart! I thought. Then I followed her letting my hand trail the lockers rough edges.
We walked together slowly and I could feel my heartbeat speed up as we approached the turn in the hall. At the end of the hall there was a singular light illuminating a door that I had never seen. "Hey foster? I haven't seen that door in all my years of ditching and im pretty sure it wasn't there before."

She nodded and we walked towards the door cautiously as we walked into the light I noticed it was flickering. Not the light. The door. The door was flickering!

My eyes widened and I turned to Sophie who had the same expression displayed on her face. But it was cuter. Not the time for that! I reminded myself.
As I scrambled to get my thoughts together and I heard Sophie step towards the door. Then she reached for the handle and twisted it before sliding the door open. It creaked as if it hadn't been oiled in a lonnngggg time. Behind the door was a dark spiral staircase. "Great." I thought sarcastically.

"Foster how many steps do you wanna bet you will make it down before falling?" I teased trying to lighten the spooky mood.

She rolled her eyes and stepped forward and disappeared into the dark stairway, as I sped trying to keep up.
"What did you do to clumsy foster" I asked.

"I trained and overcame it" she said with another eye roll that I could barley make out through the dimly lit room.

"But I miss teasing you about it!" I exclaimed. In reality I missed the cute little blush that crawled up her cheeks when she was in my arms whenever I caught her.
She just ignored me and kept walking, I sighed.
By the time I had gotten to the bottom of the stairs, Sophie was leaned up against a wall waiting for me. She smirked and said "took you long enough Sencen."
"Hey! Last names are my thing!"
"Screech" the door behind me opened. And Sophie's smirk disappeared and a look of utter shock was on her face. I turned and found....

"Kenric?" Sophie asked her voice shaking.
