Linh's pov!!!!

"Will she be okay?" I asked.

"I think so.." Elwin replied but she could see the uncertainty in his eyes she could see that he was holding back tears as he looked at his board that was kept to himself.

I looked around at the people I cared about so much all hopelessly staring at Sophie. Who was laying in her bed asleep. Keefe looked like he was barley making it by. Fitz looked more angry than she had ever seen before.
Biana was vanished in parts and her hand was holding on so tightly to Dex's that both of their hands were pale. Dex looked as if he was on the brink of tears. He must be remembering his time kidnapped I thought, how Terrible. I looked to my brother who had his hand in mine he was looking at me in a protective way. Then he glanced at Sophie and tightened his grip as if he was thinking about how it could of been me.

Grady and Edaline, they were sedated and lying on the cots on the other side of the room hand in hand they both had tear stained faces with dark bags.

Forkle looked... deep in thought. So I asked "what is it?" Softly. He looked startled then made eye contact with me. "I- uhh."

Now everyone was staring. Mr Forkle cleared his throat "ahem. As you all know what has happened to the Moonlark is a terrible awful thing and I can't help but notice that the monster in Sophie targets..... guilt." I sucked in a breath everyone knew that if an elf had to much guilt there sanity would literally shatter. I pictured Wylie and his dad. That couldn't happen to Sophie!

"The Moonlark has special dna as you all know and with that dna I tweaked her ability to process guilt." He let that sink in before continuing. "She can withstand more guilt than average but, the amount of guilt she is currently handling is an unsettlingly large amount. I- I was in her mind.... And she appears to be slowly breaking."
