No!

Keefe's pov

Just a few hours ago he had Sophie with him he had held her tight. She had kissed him on the cheek! She couldn't be gone. Not again. but when Sandor came back- tears in his eyes after looking for her again he said he'd smelled ashes, the scent the neverseen used to cover their tracks.  She was gone and now she could be hurt, or worse dead. No! He wouldn't let himself think that! Time seemed to drag on, he couldn't feel, he saw his friends faces, and councillors, and scrolls announcing her missing, and the tears and the crying, and the pain, and the fear. But it was a blur.

He locked himself in the the room of Everglen he had moved from Havenfield because everything reminded him of Sophie there.

All of his memories with Sophie that had once been used to bring him happiness and joy. Those were nightmares and he couldn't escape them. He had replayed the moments over and over.

Everything hurt but he pushed himself harder and harder each day. He had to find his foster.
