06| Monster

Emily Rose

Oh my god.

This can't be happening.

"Are you gonna let me inside?" Parker's deep and gorgeous voice asked me as he gave me a sexy smile.

"Honey?" I heard Tomas say in the house.

"It's no one!" I shout back at Tomas before closing the door.

I looked at Parker.

I pointed towards the nice truck parked outside of my house. "Look Parker, you need to leave." My voice shook.

"Polar Bear—"

"Don't call me that." I wrapped my arms around my body. "My name is Emily Rose, not Polar Bear, okay. And you need to leave."

Parker frowned.

"Please, Emily," he pleaded before taking a step towards me and reaching out for my hand.

I flinched, causing him to step away, his face filled with hurt. "You don't understand-,"

I'm not doing his today, my heart hurts.

"Yes I do-,"

"No, you don't."

"Yes, I do."

"No you don't."

"YES, I DO, PARKER. I UNDERSTAND!" My voice cracked. "You left, okay? You left your family, your friends, me!" I ran my hands through my hair, frustratedly.

"Just let me-," Parker tries to say but was interrupted by the opening of the front door.

Tomas walked out of the house with his work clothes on.

"Honey? Are you okay? I heard yelling." Tomas said.

His eyes quickly looked me up and down before I sigh of relief left his lips.

"She's fine."

The relief leaves Tomas when he turns and sees who's standing in front of him.

"Parker..." He breathes out, anger steaming off of him like smoke from a fire.

"McCoy."

Oh, no.

This is was not supposed to happen. Tomas was never supposed to see him.

My throat clamped up and I froze, stuck in time to watch the same events, over and over again. Repeatedly.

He glares at Parker, who's face was emotionless and cold.

"What are you doing here, Parker." His eyes narrowed in on him.

"It's none of your business, McCoy." Parker answered. "This is between me and Emmie, okay? So just go back into the house and let me talk to her, then we will all be on our merry way."

"Please, like I'll ever let that happen, Parker." Tomas shakes his head. "You're a fucking liar. I know you want to just steal her from under me, you always will." Tomas' fist clenched.

"Always will?" Parker pauses for a second before his eyebrows furrowed, "who said you'd always have her?"

Tomas' eyes flashed and his jaw ticked. "I swear to God, Parker."

Parker rolled his eyes and that was the last straw for Tomas.

He stormed up towards Parker. "I swear if get one more of your fucking shitty attitude, I'll fucking-," he threatens but Parker interrupts him.

"Oh, grow the fuck up, McCoy. You know you're not going to touch me."

Tomas growled, "don't test me, Parker."

Parker clenches his jaw, "not trying to, you're just getting pissed over nothing."

"Over nothing," Tomas laughs mirthlessly before his eyes look down at bouquet of flowers in Parker's hands. He smiles darkly before snatching the flowers out of Parker's hand. "And what's this shit?! Huh? Just friendly flowers?"

Tomas rips the flowers into pieces before dropping them into the ground in front of the steaming Parker. "Or... are these fuck-me flowers? I've always heard about them, but I should thought they were for desperate people. Are you that desperate, Parker Bowmen." Tomas mocks and Parker snaps.

Parker's fists reached out and gripped Tomas by the collar. "Don't make me ruin this nice shirt, McCoy. Because the only thing hat is stopping me from kicking your ass is standing right behind you. So don't fucking test my patience."

A sickening smirk appeared on Tomas' face before he pushes Parker off of him.

Tomas pointed an accusing finger at Parker, "see that's the thing Parker, you can't hurt me either. You're standing on my property. My land," that's when he turns back at me before giving me a creepy smile, "talking to my fiancée, who loves me and can't stand you."

"Don't you bring her into this." Parker growled, narrowing his eyes at him.

He stared at him for a second before laughing harshly. "Bring her into this? You brought her into this years ago!" He shouted. "You left! Gone! Disappeared!" He began to point at me. "She broke down. Lost herself. And who was there beside her after every crying session? After every panic attack?! And where were you? Oh, I forgot. You left." Tomas shouts at him.

Parker looked down at the ground.

"You don't know shit, Dickwad. Don't act like a fucking savior just because I'm here."

Tomas scoffed and rolled his eyes, "please, Parker. I'm not acting." He gave me a tight smile. "So why don't you do us all a favor and crawl back into the hole you came out of." He pointed towards Parker's car outside our house. "Get the fuck out of my driveway.."

Parker grabs him by the shirt again, "fine, but it's not because of your horrible ass. It it was, I would have already beaten your fucking shitty ass for it. It's because of her." Parker growls before he gives Tomas a hard shake and dropping him, like a bag of sand, to the ground.

While Tomas starts to get up from the ground, Parker looks up and stares at me.

I bit my lip as he studies me for a couple seconds before striding over towards his car.

He opens the driver's door before taking one last glance and driving away.

Tomas stands up from the ground and dusts off his clothes.

Once he knows that Parker was far away from our house, he turns to me.

"Are you okay?" He asks before walking over towards me and embracing me. "I'm so sorry that the monster was here."

I stood as a statue in his arms, unable to move after what I'd just seen.

As Tomas holds on to me and begins to whispered sweet nothings into my ear.

I can't help but stop and think about which monster was he talking about.

His or Parker's?

*****

"Would you talk to me?!" Parker said calmly, crossing his arms around his chest as he stood in my destroyed office.

I don't know how I'm going to pay for this...

"No! Leave now!" My voice shook as I screamed at him. I picked up a mug and threw it at him.

He easily moved to the side, dodging it.

"Goddamnit!" I yelled.

Why can't he leave? I don't want this anymore.

This is not how I wanted things to go after he left my house, this morning.

Earlier while I was typing out the plans for a new wedding couple, Parker came in, suggesting that he wanted to go to lunch with me, so we could talk which I said okay. I need answers and thinking about it wouldn't help me. Everything was going okay until he tried to touch me and I couldn't handle it, now everything is smashed against the wall.

Parker brown eyes scanned the room before looking back up at me. "Is this all of that because I tried to touch you?"

"Leave," I huffed. "Go, or I'll call the police."

Parker smirked before leaning down and grabbing my broken phone off the floor. "Oh, really?"

Shit!

"I have my work phone," I bluffed.

I knew I threw that too.

Parker sighed before straightening up. "Look Emily Rose, please, let me explain. I'm sorry I touched you, okay? I didn't know you were sensitive about that."

I stopped. Instead of throwing things, I decided to actually looked at Parker.

His hair was disheveled as if he ran his fingers through it many times. His clothes were wrinkled and out of place. Dark bags laid under his eyes.

A sting of empathy ran through me.

"I know you have a lot of questions and I want to answer them. Please let me. Please. I promise I won't try to touch you again, let me make it up to you." He begged and I couldn't help but frown.

You're going to get hurt after this. I told myself.

I stared at him for a while before looking downwards. "Okay, fine, but you're buying me a new phone and paying for the meal." I look back up at him again. "Deal?"

Parker smiles. "Deal."

Hey guys!

HOLY SHITBALLS!!!! 1k ARE YOU KIDDING ME!

I never thought that this book would reach this number. I thought I would get a couple reads and be fine but 1k!!

Anyways back to the story stuff.

Tomas is not as kind as he seems. He has a dark side too and Parker being back WILL BRING IT OUT.

Emmie and Parker going on a lunch break (or date?) together?

Sorry it's not drama filled as the last one but I tried and plus school is very tiring, so I can't write as much. 😭😭

I'm going to try to be able to update once a week, but it might be a little hard. So if I don't update in a week, expect it the next week.

Also I have more planned for this story so don't expect it to be boring.

My horrible mind is just thinking of ways to torture my characters...

*cue evil laugh*

Anyways, I hope you liked Chapter 6 of The Love That Is Parker Bowmen.
