12| Party

WHAT EMILY LOOKS LIKE IN THIS CHAPTER.

A/N: I'm kinda late at writing this chapter. Sorry, weeks are really busy for me and I procrastinate A LOT! I might not be able to write a new chapter this Saturday so expect a late one after this one too. For being late, I kind of made this chapter long - by long I mean 500 words more than I usually try to write. Also, there's no questions, anything or editing today, because I'm writing this author's note and I'm lazy. So yeah. Peace. ✌🏽

*******

Emily Rose

As we walked into the club, music was blared from the speakers, causing my skin tingle and my lungs feel like mush. Over the roar of the music, I could hear distant voices, laughing and talking, neon lights flashed everywhere, reaching every corner.

I still couldn't fucking believe how the hell I was breathing.

"Let's go get something to drink." Camara screamed to me, excitement ranging in her voice as she tried to speak over the drumming music.

I nodded my head and we pushed on.

It took me a second to realize that Parker was walking behind us when I suddenly stopped Camara in her tracks and pulled her close, "wait, where's Parker," I shouted and she waved me off.

"Saw him talking to a blonde on the way in." She waved it off before saying, "come on, let's go."

As Camara dragged me away, I looked behind me, hope slowly dwindling out of me as I searched for my old best friend.

I sighed as we came to the bar.

"Emily! Camara!" We heard a familiar voice call out to us.

Then suddenly on the other side of the bar was Parker. Sitting down at one of the bar's hideous, neon orange chairs, he called us over with a wave of his hand.

Camara grabbed my hand and lead me through the  crowd and towards Parker.

"There you guy are! Sit, sit." Parker smiled, pointing towards two chairs next to him, "Hey, I'd like to introduce you to someone." Parker said as Camara and sat down on the chairs.

Parker scoots his chair back a bit to reveal a blonde woman sitting next towards him. As if the woman tried to hide her aging, the apparent wrinkles on her face were pulled back and horribly straightened out against her face. It was almost as if she was wearing a Halloween mask.

"Ladies, meet my old good friend, Mrs. Shabamm. Mrs. Shabamm, meet the ladies, Emily Rose and Camara." Parker introduces us and the lady next to him huskily giggles.

"Please, call me, Selma."

"Yes. Well, Selma's husband, owns this lovely bar-," Parker begins to say but 'Selma' interrupted him.

"Ex-husband, we're getting a divorce." Her plastic face stretched into a smile and I almost jumped in horror.

She leaned into Parker and he sent a quick wink before continuing.

"As I was saying he owns this lovely bar and I'm planning on buying it from him." Parker finished and Selma, with an irritated look on her face, cleared her throat

Parker looked towards her and back at us, changing his sentence. "Well, we are planning on buying from him."

"Parker's gonna help me get this club..." Selma said excitedly before pausing, "well... for a price." She finished and it was Parker's turn to send her a irritated glare.

"For what price?" I asked and Selma's cheeks blushed red.

"Bartender!" She called before fanning herself. "Is it hot? A-am I the only one who's hot? Oh, Bartender. Rounds over here! I'm hot, I'mma go find out who turned up the thermostat!" That's the last thing she said before hoping out of her chair and disappearing into the crowd of people.

Camara gave me lol before shaking her head. "Fucking crazy people."

I laughed as the bartender came over towards us and placed the drinks in front of us.

"To new fucking beginnings!" Camara laughed as she grabbed her drink and lifted it up.

I smiled and cheers with her.

As Camara and I downed our drinks, Parker just shook his head and laughed.

If I were paying attention, I would've noticed that under Parker's breath, the words, "to the past ," escaped before he downed his drink, too.

*****

I laughed as Camara and I danced on top of one of the tables.

Blood rushed through my body as I let the atmosphere around me burn through my nose and intoxicate me too.

As I moved, my eyes kept catching onto one man with dark blue hair and emerald eyes. There was something off about him, as if I've seen him before I just didn't know where.

I turned around, ignoring him, the best I could and continued to move my body. I closed my eyes this time, trying only to focus on the music and how I was feeling but that didn't help. I could still the man's eyes on me.

I stopped and tapped onto Camara's shoulder, as she danced.

She stopped and turned towards me. "Yeah?" She yelled.

I came closer toward her and whispered in her ear. "Hey, I'm gonna to go to the bathroom real quick, be right back."

Just as I was about to hope off the table, Camara grabbed my arm, "just wait 'til Parker gets back with our drinks, then go."

I shook my head. "I need to go now."

She looked around before sighed, "then I'm coming with you."

I shook my head, frantically. "I don't need you to come with me."

She rolled her eyes, "don't care."

I looked around the club and suddenly the man with the emerald eyes was gone.

My attention went back on my friend and I nodded. "Fine."

She smiled and we both got down from the table and made our way towards the large, neon sign with the words, 'RESTROOMS' onto it.

As we walked into the woman's restrooms, a loud, chattering noise filled our ears as we went in and saw millions of girls in there. Some sitting on the floor, some on the counters. Others gathered around the mirrors fixing their makeup.

"Oh my god! Move! Get your asses of the floor. This is a restroom," Camara scolded angrily. "My friend needs to pee."

I laughed under my breath as Camara began to shoo the girls out of the restroom.

I went into one of the stalls and sat on the toilet, taking a deep breath as noise sounded around me.

Seeing that man brought me all kinds of creeps.

I just need to calm down and try to relax myself. I thought.

I rubbed my hands onto my arms, a couple of times before standing up and exiting the stall.

"Hey Camara, I thin-," I began to say but I stopped realizing that I was in an empty restroom.

What happened to all the other girls in here? I could have sweared I heard them talking.

My eyes roomed around the restroom. "Camara? Camara, are you in here?"

My chest begins to tighten. I began to back up towards the door when I hear the flushing of the toilet.

I breathe a sign of relief, "I guess you had to use the restroom too." I smiled as I looked down at my feet. "You almost scared me."

The stall door creaks open.

"Well, you should be afraid, Emily Rose Shovers" An unfamiliar voice said and I instantly looked up.

"Y-you!" I stuttered out as I saw the man with blue hair and emerald eyes that was staring at me while I was dancing.

The man smirked sinisterly as he walked up towards me.

I quickly whipped around and ran towards the door.

I yanked and pulled onto the door handle.

"It's locked." The man said.

I began to bang onto the door, screaming. "Help! Help me! Let me out! Let me out!"

Suddenly a hand grasped onto my arm. "Would you stop, I have to-!" The man turns me around and my fist connects with his face.

"Fuck!" The man holds his nose and stumbles back. "You bitch."

"Takes one to know one." I snapped back and began to bang on the door again. "Help! PLEASE HELP!"

Both hands gasp onto my wrists and I'm turned around.

The man moves me from the door, towards the wall.

My head hits the tiled wall and pain rushes through my body.

I began to shake and scream, "LET ME GO!"

"Stop! Stop! Stop! I'm trying to help you." The man screams at me.

"NO! LET ME GO!"

Gripping both of my wrist with one hand, the man covered my mouth with the other.

I squirmed.

"I will only let go of your mouth if you just listen and listen carefully, okay?" His eyes connected with mine as he finished talking and I nodded.

His hand left my mouth.

I bit my lip, breathing heavily. "What?"

"I need to help you." The man plead before closing his eyes and opening them again. "Don't trust Tomas McCoy, don't trust him, please Emily. It's for your own safety."

"What are you talking about?! You're crazy!" I use all of my strength to push the man away from me.

"What are you talking about! My fiancé Tomas, is in the hospital?!" I yell at him, my hands clenched by my sides.

"Hospital?" The man staggers back. "N-no, no he's not."

I nodded. "Yes, he is."

The man gulps before his eyes scan the restroom. Suddenly he pulls out a key from his pocket and runs towards the door.

"I can't stay here anymore, it's too late!" He unlocks the door and takes one step out.

Just when that happens someone's fist punches the blue haired man in face.

The man falls down onto the ground.

"Who's out there?" My body stiffened and I raised my fists in front of my face. "Well? Answer me!"

"I would Mrs. Shivers, but I'm a little busy." I heard a familiar voice say, an accent hinting in the voice.

"Mr. Arnold? Jason Arnold?" I asked my hands going down to my sides.

"Well, yes. Who did you think it was?" Jason walked into the doorway, a handkerchief was placed on his hand.

"Ugh, it's disbelieving how repulsive this man's face was." He came up to me, shaking his head, a bright, playful smile laid on his face.

I smiled.

"Now, Ms. Shivers, may I take you home now?"
