Chapter 45

Jessica's POV:

I sluggishly spun around in my wheelchair. My exam is in a week and I don't know what I'm gonna do.

So here I am, sulking on my wheelchair as I rolled around the house.

"I have a plan!" Ross came into the living room. I raised an eyebrow, "Really?" He nodded with a toothy grin, "You're gonna love me when you hear it."

I started to smile, "Okay, what is it? I'm getting anxious."

"We could go on a date to a restaurant! I already made reservations and special requests and we go in an hour."

I immediately frowned, "Ross come on. This is no time for dates. I have to think of a way to do my exam."

He was still smiling, "You told me that you want us to be together right and I said we need time to reassess things-"

"So we go on a date?" I finished with a sigh.

He rolled his eyes, "Don't interrupt me. As I was saying we need time to reassess thing so we go on a date-"

"Didn't I just say that?" I interrupted.

He frowned, "I will take you nowhere if you keep interrupting me." I raised my hands in defense, "Sorry."

He took a breath, "As I was saying before I was rudely interrupted twice, we go on a date where I tell you my plan for your exam."

My eyes widened, "So you do have a plan?"

He smirked, folding his arms, "Yes and you would've found this out minutes ago if you didn't interrupt me."

I gave a small smile, "Thanks Ross, I can't wait!"

"Let me help you get upstairs so you can get ready." he started to take my hand.

------------------------------------

"Okay we've had dinner, so what's your plan?" I was getting impatient and he was only ignoring me when I asked earlier.

"No dessert?" he gave a side smirk, amused with my anxiety.

I rolled my eyes, "After you tell me." "Okay, okay." he laughed, "You have to come up with a dance and dance it right?"

I nodded. "Okay so obviously you can't dance but that doesn't mean that you can't make up one-"

"Where are you going with this Ross?"

He eyed me, "I thought we talked about interrupting me Jessie." I looked down mumbling a 'sorry'.

He sighed, "The main idea of this exam is the dance you make up am I right?"

I again nodded.

"Right so you could make up a dance and I could dance it for you. Simple."

I choked on my drink, "Huh?" He raised an eyebrow, "Problem?" I shook my head, "Um, no it's just it's a good plan but what if my teacher thinks that you came up with it and I didn't?"

"We record our sessions, so don't come up with anything before hand, we go with the flow so she wouldn't think I came up with it and pretended you did. You tell me the steps and I will dance and we'll show her the process so that way she'd know we weren't lying. And on the day I do you dance and bam you have your exam."

I stared at him in awe, "You really put a lot of thought into this haven't you."

He shrugged, "I couldn't let you fail. Dancing means a lot to you, I know I'd be going through hell if I couldn't sing or act. It's part of you and taking one of the amazing things about you away from you would suck."

I beamed and leaned over the table, kissing him softly.

"Thank you Shor."

-----------------------------------------------

"No the- Ross not-no I- this isn't working out." I sigh.

His hand ran through his hair in frustration, "I'll get it, it'll take some time but I'll get it." "We don't have time we have 3 days and you can't get this part."

He gritted his teeth, "I'll. Get. It."

I glared at him, "I'm going to get something to eat. I'm tired, we've been doing this for 2 hours."

He sighed, "Yeah, whatever."

I rolled around as I ate my sandwich, I can't pace so I have to substitute. 3 days, he's gotten most of the dance, some parts are still giving him some trouble and that's okay but he needs to get that one part.

It's the most important part of the whole dance which is exactly why it's so hard but he offered to help me with this so he needs to put his all.

I can't fail this exam, dance is all I have and if I don't pass then I'll probably get taken off the dance program.

Yeah, my teacher is that strict.

I continued to pace and stopped, seeing a picture of Sofia and I. "I could really use your advice about now."

I don't know what she could possibly say but I just need to hear her voice, so I called her phone.

'Hiii! So sorry you missed me. Maybe I'm working, hanging with my best friend Jessica or obsessing over books, movies or cute guys and just didn't bother to answer. Either way I'm sorry and I'll probably answer when you call again or you could leave a voicemail. Okayyy byee!!'

I gave a weak smile and hung up.

"I'm sorry Jessie, I know how important this is to you and I promise you I'll get it. I just need to work harder. I'll call work and tell them I can't make it so I could practice." Ross said quietly, scratching the back of his head.

I shook my head, "I know you'll get but don't jeopardize your job for me. Go to work I'll be here waiting for you to get back. I think I'll catch up on my Thirteen Reasons Why..still haven't finished watching it yet."

He kissed my cheek and whispered with determination, "I will get it right."
