Chapter 23

Jessica's POV:

We came to the front of the Freezy bar and the man at the front didn't even care to ask for ID.

"No wonder they got in so easily. This place is pathetic." I rolled my eyes and began looking around.

"Do you see them?" Riker asked.

I shook my head and then spotted Ross. "I found Ross, seems like he's having fun drinking." "I found Sof," Riker says minutes later, "she's..dancing?"

I looked over to Sofia to see she was indeed dancing, with some guy, while drinking.

"Let's get them." Riker lowly growled, his eyes dead set on Sofia and her dance partner. "Yeah, I'll get Ross."

I walked over to Ross, avoided the many sweaty people. How did Ross convince Sofia to go here?

"Hey. Ross. We have to go. Now." I said.

He laughed. "Jessie, come join the party." I rolled my eyes, "No Ross, we have to go. We'll meet Riker with Sofia outside."

"Speaking of my oh so dear brother Riker, how was your date with him?"

I shook my head, "It wasn't a date Ross." "Really? Could've fooled me. You're everywhere with him."

"No I'm not." I defend.

He nodded, "Yeah, but who am I to think that there'd be a chance between you and me. Ridiculous. You had your eyes set on Riker since Colorado. He adored you. Always talked about how cute Jess was and Jess this and that when he new I had a crush on you for forever." he rambled.

"W-What?"

I shouldn't take on what he's saying. He's drunk after all.

He began to drink from his glass and I quickly snatched it away. "Come on Shor, let's go." I tell him.

"Come on party pooper. If I can't have you atleast let me have a drink." he folded his arms angrly but a smile was soon on his face.

"Yeah, okay. Let's go." I said, trying to not let his words affect me.

Riker's POV:

I walked towards Sofia, pushing people so I could pass.

She seemed to be enjoying herself with that..guy. I hate it. "Sofia." I said as I came up to her. "Hey Riker. Meet my friend-" she giggled. "-I don't even know what his name is but he likes to hold my waist when I dance."

They guy sent a wave in my direction and it took everything in me not to punch him.

"Go away." I told him. He rolled his eyes and walked away, not even bothering to put up a fight. Sofia groaned, "Thanks a lot Riker."

I sighed, "Let's go Sof." I held her hand.

She pulled away, "I don't wanna go. I'm having fun. Go off with Jess. Continue you date." she frowned.

"What? It wasn't a date." I'm so confused right now.

"Whatever. Go mock me cause I didn't realise how much I actually liked you." she began dancing again and guys looked our direction, drooling over her.

I glared at them and looked back at Sofia.

"Sof, you're drunk. Let's go home." I tell her. "No Riker. Let me have fun." "Sofia, please don't make this any harder than it already is." I plead.

She folds her arms and turns away from me.

Now that she's turned away, I realised what she's wearing. What the hell did this bar turn her to? I mean she looks extremely..wow but I hate that other guys think she's extremely wow too.

She isn't herself which in turn makes her way more attractive..but not Sofia.

I lifted her up, deciding to carry her bridal style and she squealed and hit my back. I expected way harder lashes, but maybe because she's drunk she's out of it.

She soon stopped within a minute and I realised she fell asleep.

I met Jessica outside. "What took you so long?" she asked. "Let's just say that Sofia is a stubborn drunk."

Jessica rolled her eyes, "She's drunk everyday then." I chuckled, "Yeah."

Jessica's POV:

~Next Day~

I think he's getting up." I tell Riker. He gives a small smile, "I'll go check on Sofia." I nod and look back at Ross.

His hazel eyes are fully open now and his hand is already on his head.

"Jessie?" I smiled, "Yeah." "What happened, how did I get back?" he asked. "Riker and I carried you back." I told him.

"Where's Sofia?" his eyes widened.

"Don't worry curious George, she's home." I chuckled. "Is she still asleep?" I shrugged, "Riker just went to check on her."

"Oh."

"Oh?"

"Nothing. Did I say anything last night?" he asked, his eyes full of worry.

I looked away. "Jessie, did I say something to you last night?" he questioned. I slowly nodded, "You may have said some things."

"Were they bad?" I shook my head, "I'm not sure actually."

He sat up. "You should lay down." I told him. He shook his head, "What did I tell you Jessie?" I sighed.

Riker's POV:

I entered Jess and Sofia's house and went upstairs to Sofia's bedroom.

She was up, looking out her window. I knocked lightly on the door, "Hey." She jumped and got her blanket, quickly wrapping it around herself.

I chuckled. "I saw what you wore last night you know."

She turned red, "It's so unlike me. I let Ross talk me into it because I was hurting over yo-" she stopped and looked back out the window.

She was hurting?

"Why were you hurting?" I asked, walking closer to her. "What did I do last night?" she asked, changing the topic.

I let her and reply, "You were dancing with some guy and drinking..a lot. It was really difficult to get you out of the bar though."

She put her face in her hands. "This is so embarrassing."

I removed her hands, "Don't be embarrassed. You had a bad moment. We all have those." She gave a small smile and removed her blanket she quickly explained her reason for taking it off.

"I'm feeling kind of warm."

I nodded, trying my best to just look at her face. "Not your usual choice of clothing." I joke. She laughed, "Yeah."

"I like it." I tell her. "It's not you, but in some ways you came use this style into your style."

She looked at me in confusion. "Like, having you hair out. It looks like a curly mop but it's a good look. The short skirt is cool too, not that short but you know what I mean." I told her, looking down at my hands.

She laughed, "I get it. I'll see what I can do."

I smiled. "Why were you hurting?" She was caught off guard and moved away to head put her door.

"Sofia." I pressed, holding her hand to stop her from leaving. She sighed.

Jessica's POV:

"I wasn't too sure if you meant it. I didn't want it to affect me. It's ridiculous because you told Sofia that you just wanted us to be friends and who am I to change your mind-"

He kissed me. He took my breath away by one simple action.

He slowly pulled away, "Jessie. I really like you. I don't want to be just friends. I meant every word that came out of my drunken mouth and I just went to that bar thinking I didn't have a chance with you again."

I slowly nodded, "That's why you thought Riker and I were on a date."

He nodded, "So did Sofia. We just went to get our minds of you guys." "Wait. Sofia likes Riker?" I ask. He again nodded.

"She said she didn't." "She realised after that she did." he told me.

I nod, "So what are we exactly?" I ask. "Whatever you want us to be. Once I'm with you." he said and he kissed me.

---------------------------------

Riker's POV:

"What?"

"I just told you." she said, obviously anxious.

"I need to hear it again." I told her.

"Riker please don't make me repeat myself. You're not making me very confident at the moment."

"Sofia, please. Repeat."

She sighed, "I like you. I really like you. More than just friends. I've liked you since we kissed on Christmas, I just didn't want to admit it."

My heart skipped a bunch of beats.

I went closer to her, only a few inches away. I heard her breathing hitch. "Calm down." I told her softly, placing my hand on her cheek.

"What are you gonna do?" she asked, looking straight into my eyes.

"Could you please be quiet while I try to kiss you." I tell her. Her eyes widened but I could see the hint of excitement in them.

Our lips touched and she was shaking. I caressed her cheek to calm her down and it worked. She came closer, deepening the kiss.

Breathless, we separated.

"You don't how long I've waited for that." I tell her, trying to catch my breath. She chuckles. "You know, you were giggling too." I smile.

Her cheeks reddened. "I sound so stupid when I giggle."

"You sounded cute." I tell her, kissing her again.

I've planned these last two chapters since February. And now I've ran out of ideas, once again. But soon enough I'll come up with something.
