"Davina we need to talk." Harry said coming out of nowhere as I came out of class. Before I can say anything he grabbed my wrist. "Now." and started dragging me away.

We walk getting a few weird looks along the way, we made it to an almost empty corridor. Then he made another turn before we were returning an empty classroom and closed the door, but wall me inside and he mad eme stand in front of him so he would block the door which would be my only exit.

"Harry, what are you--?"

"What were you and Malfoy doing in the corridor yesterday."

My body froze and my heart stop for a moment. This wasnt happening. I couldn't say anything but Harry was growing impatient.

"I'm going to ask you again. What were you doing with Malfoy in corridor yesterday."

"Harry...."

"The truth Davina." he was angry but he wasn't shouting. I never like this side of Harry, not to mention he was the only one who knew exactly when I was lying.

I never wanted him to find out this way, and I knew eventually this was going to back up against me because I've been lying for a year now.

"Davina--"

"We were just walking and talking Harry." I lied look at my hands. I didnt want to say that but it came out that way. "He wanted to talk to someone and saw me."

"You're lying. I saw you two so I'm going to ask again and don't leave out the part where you kiss." he scolded. "Bloody hell. You two are not...?!"

"It's complicated." I glanced up for a brief second then look back down at my hands which were playing with a bracelet.

"That's where you've been sneaking off to? To him?!"

"Not all the time. But yes." I was barely speaking. "I was going to tell you--"

"How long?"

"This year. If we're going technical.... Since last year."

"A year?! I guess it was your idea that made Umbridge want to question Cho?"

"No! I never told Draco anything."

"Stop saying his name like he's innocent. He's not innocent Davina."

That made me look at him. "Like you would know. He's not dangerous--"

"No, he is. You're not going anywhere near him, again."

"That's not exactly your decision to make."

"I'm your older brother, it kinda is." he said. "He's not a good person. He's one of them."

"Harry he isn't--"

"Merlin you're so blind." he said looking at a wall. 

"I'm not an idiot Harry. I knew exactly what I was getting into, I know what kind of person he is. And at first I thought I was fool, I was going to hurt myself but he's not like that--"

"But Malfoy out of all people?! If it had been Simon last year, I would have gladly accept it. Hale, even Patrick."

I was furious at this point.

"Course." I turned around and flew my hands in the air then let them drop back at my sides while he had a confused look. "Did you know Patrick practically caged me against the railing and kiss me when I didn't want to? I had to kick in the bullocks to get him off me. Hale only wanted the attention, just to befriend and spread a rumor that I had like him only to benefit himself." Harry look stunned for a moment. "Of course you wouldn't know that because you were busy worrying about your life, last year it was Cho and now it's Ginny. Not to mention you--."

"He's a Malfoy! And yes I can." he said suddenly getting more angier.

"I don't tell you what to do, or who you can and can't see."

"I'm doing it to protect you."

"No you're not. You're blinded my hatred for him and everyone else that could be involved with Voldemort, and don't think for a second you know the whole story."

"And you do? I doubt he would tell you anything. He's just luring you in until he can kill you."

"He wouldn't."

"He would Davina. His father was a death eater, his aunt kill Sirius, he was at Borgins and Burke to look at some cabinet, which is a vanishing cabinet that's not good for anything, and he is doing something for Voldemort here at hogwarts. He's the one that hex Katie, nearly got Ron poisoned."

"Stop."

"No Davina!"

"Merlin, you are such a hypocrite Harry! I swear all of this chosen one stuff is getting into your head. You think you can decided everyone's fate because you are Harry Potter. It's always you, the sorcerer's stone, the chamber of secrets, triwizard tournament, even the bloody prophecy. You can't control my entire life Harry!"

We were silent and then he walked out. He stop at the door then glanced over his shoulder. "I'm going to make sure Ginny, Alice, or Hermione are with you at all times. You are not allowed anywhere near him ever again."

"I'm not a child harry."

"No you're my little sister." he turned around and strode towards me. "Voldemort would do anything to get his hands on you to torture me. Draco would just make it easier for him. He doesn't care about you. He never has."

"Why because you say so?"

"His father hates us and so does his mother. He's been trying to destroy us since we started. You think he's going to abandon his morals, because he suddenly fancies you? You think he's going to disobey his family legacy for you?"

"What's that supposed to mean?" i asked feeling my heart pounding and tears starting to fill up with tears ready to let themselves out.

Harry suddenly realizes what he must've said because then he was no longer angry. "He's a pure-blood and you're..."

"Half-blood? And mum's a Muggle-born?"

He was silent. I knew he didn't mean it that way, but that didn't mean it still hurt. And it didn't stop what I said next. 

"Maybe you should've been put to slytherin after all."

Harry was about to say something but I grabbed my things and walk around him then stop at the door to say what I wanted to say.

"I always stood by you Harry, no matter what, through everything. How do you think i feel everytime you're ready to die for everyone and throw yourself into danger? How is it that you can be happy but when it comes to my life you suddenly have to intervene. I know you think you're only do this to protect me but I don't always need protecting."

When we went to dinner, I just avoided Harry and stayed with some other fifth year who was nice. Mostly kept my head down I didn't want to talk to anyone. Not even the girls. I finished dinner and stood up and walk out to get away from the stares of everyone looking at me. Hermione, Ginny, Ron, Harry, alice, Simon, even Neville. He hasn't told anyone else but I knew there was going to be rumors soon about why I've been distancing myself. 

I was alone in the hallway when I stop dead in my tracks when Draco was against a railing. I ran to him as he embrace me and held me tight.

"Everything alright?"

"He knows." I said as we pulled away and my eyes look down at my feet. "He said I couldn't see you anymore."

He look ready to walk out but I stop him. 

"Don't."

"We knew sooner or later this was going to come."

"I can't have you two at each other necks."

"And you're going to listen to him?"

"She will because I'm her brother." Harry voice came out of nowhere. "Leave, Malfoy."

"Oh yeah of course," Draco press, I knew he wasn't going to go down without a fight. "Let's all listen to Saint Potter."

"You're not going anywhere with or near her." Harry step forward.

"Not your bloody decision." Draco grabbed my arm gently. "Let's go Davina."

"Draco--"

I was suddenly pulled away from him as Harry practically rip me out of Draco's grasp and place me behind him.

"I said you're going to leave her alone Malfoy."

They were standing close for my liking, not to mention both of them were clutching onto their wands tightly.

"Stop." I step between them yanking my arm from Harry. I look at the two who were still glaring at each other. Neither was going to given in. I turned to my Draco and step in front of him pushing him back to make space between them.

"Please go," he look down at my briefly. "I rather not have him hexing you, or either of you starting a fight here, you'll both get into trouble." I whispered so he would hear. "Please.... we both know this is going to end badly. I know you two will never see eye to eye. So just... for me please." I said as he look deeply into me.

He glance down at me and let out a small sigh. He leaned close and press a soft kiss on my forehead. "As you wish." He walk away not before giving my brother one last glare before walking away.

I turned to Harry after Draco was gone and look at him. "I'll be in my room."

"Davina..."

I left the opposite way since that's where the common room was then the hallway that Draco had taken. When I reach the portrait, I gave the password and got inside heading to my room. I got ready for bed, and when I dress for bed I saw Athena with a letter. I walk over and took it from her reading the letter.

I understand why you asked me to do what you said, darling. Still you should've let me hex him, but you didn't want to. I was going to ask you to come with me somewhere but then POtter cut in. should've known if it wasn't going to be my parents, it would be your brother separting us. Course the idea that he's going to have close friends watching you every second of everyday angers me.

If he thinks I'm giving up, well he doens't know my as well as you do. I'm a Malfoy yes, one thing you need to learn is that I always get what i want no matter how long it takes. I'm nothing without you princess. Sleep well, my love. Because I will fight to get you back.

I smiled feeling small tears falling down from my cheek. I blinked and took a deep breath before grabbing my journal, wrote what happend today and then place the letter inside. Getting up i shut the window as Athena flew back. I closed the drapes around me and crawled under the covers, I heard the girls coming into their dorms. After closing them completely, I grabbed my wand and cast a spell to keep the girls from opening my drapes.

I just didn't want to talk anymore about what happened. Harry probably told everyone, then again would he want the castle knowing that his sister and his nemesis were seeing each other behind his back. Neville knows, even Simon.

I guess this is what I get for lying.

It was now four week. Katie was rumored to come back either today or tomorrow. I've been avoiding everyone, everyone except Alice who was the only one I was willing to stay close. She and Simon fought he said she shouldn't pity me, plus he was angry at the fact she didn't tell him about me and Draco. 

We were in the great hall early hardly anyone was here, but soon it was be flooded with students again.

"I know you don't want to talk abuot it." Alice said looking at me. "But if you ever want to..."

"Thanks Alice." I smiled at her. "But you're already in enough trouble with everyone. I know Hermione and Ginny hate the fact I haven't told them about this year and I know you're having troubles with Simon."

"He's total ass." she said crossing her arms. "He doesn't understand that I would never tell your life to him if you didn't want anyone knowing. He had the balls to tell me that I was unreasonable and didn't love him enough. Now look at him." I glance at the entrace as he walk in with a Ravenclaw girl and walk to the end of the table towards the entrace.

"I'd hex him for you if you like." I offered. "It'll be good for me, need to let my angrier out somewhere."

"As tempting as that is." She said giving out a sigh. "He's not worth it." she look at me as I continued to read. "I know I'm suppose to keep you away from him... but you're miserable. And I know he is as well. I pass by him eariler in the hallway while you were with Hermione, he looks dreadful. Look like he wanted to talk to me but then Simon step in."

"If you help, Harry would know." I glance at her. "Thanks, but I'll fight this battle on my own. Besides I deserve it, who was I kidding that it would actually work."

"Have to admit that I hated the thought of you two at first. And I wanted nothing more that you staying away from him especially after he broke you. But then I saw it Davina. Theres something between you two I cant explain. And I think Harry might have caught a glimpse of it too."

"Nothing going to change his mind Alice, as long as I stay away. Harry won't do anything stupid like going after him."

"Alright."

We were quite a bit longer finishing our our meals. Luckily by the time I finished Harry, Hermione, Ron, and Ginny walked in.

"Ready?" I asked grabbing my things.

"Yes." She replied as we got up and headed out.

Classes were boring but anything to pass time and avoid my brother. Potions was next and class was going smoothly. It was almost time for lunch when Slughorn walk over to me.

"Davina dear, how are you?"

"Fine professor." I said looking at him then went back to my potion that I was brewing. Ginny was watching me carefully. Alice was sadly in the table in front of me, so there was no use in talking to her or anyone.

"I see you acquired the same level skill your mother and brother process. See it runs in the family."

I gave him a small smile and he left me be then I got back to work. After I was done, I finished up my notes, put a sample in a vial, handed it in. Alice was waiting by my desk as I grab my things then we were free to leave.

"You okay?" Ginny asked before we left.

"Fine." I answered then walk out with Alice.

"You're going to have to talk to her soon, Harry too."

"Not now." I said as we walk to the great hall. "I need to figure out what I am going to say and brace myself for any lecture."

"Shoot." She said. "I have to give Flitwick my essay, I promised."

"I'll go with you."

We both turned around and headed to the otherside of the castle. We walk in as a class was leaving and I waited by the door as Alice went to talk to Flickwit. I look around then out into the hallway where I saw a familiar blonde hair rushing down a hall, five seconds later was my brother going the same path.

"Harry." I called him out he stop and look at me.

He then look away and rush down the same direction Draco went. Something was wrong.

I quickly went to Alice, as Flitwick was searching for something.

"I'll meet you in the common room."

"What do you... is something wrong?"

I glanced at Flitwick who seemed to not be paying attention. I pulled Alice a bit further away and whispered to her. "I saw Harry following Draco."

She nodded. "I'll cover for you. Go."

I handed my text book and bag to her before going in the same direction the two had went. I didn't know where they went, it was best to just go where I'd seen them go until I realize where I was. He couldn't have gone to the room of requirement, what was nearby?

I heard the sound of glass shattering, without hesitating I followed it. I stop and saw that it was coming from the boys restroom. Godric, you've got to be joking. I heard Harrys voice cast an spell and more commotion. I went in and saw Draco on the ground suddenly bleeding out like a sword had slice him across his chest.

"Oh my g-- Draco!"

I rush over and went on my knees as blood began spilling out everywhere. Draco look at me, his face filled with pain.

"Draco."

"Dav-Davina." he breathed out.

"Sssshhh, hey its going to be okay. Draco... you're going to be okay."

My mind began to panic, I move to lift his head from the water that was now flooding the bathroom. He lets out cries and was in complete and utter pain and it hurt me. I wasn't quiet sure what to do, then I remember a spell in the book Dumbledore gave me. "I-I'm going to t-try something, tell me if i-it hurts."

I pulled our my wamd and quietly cast a spell that stop the wound from gashing wvwn more open, but I couldn't remember how to heal.

Why did I feel worthless? Draco was bleeding out and I couldn't remember the damn spell. I then remeber and stop the blood and stop whatever the curse was doing to make him lose so much blood.

"Don't leave." he breathed out looking at me. "please."

I was crying at this point, holding onto to him. I leaned down and connected our foreheads. "I won't. Just stay awake okay?"

His eyes started to closed.

"Draco." I shook him but he didn't want to wake up. "No. Draco please wake up. Please wake up." I shook him wake but he didn't. "No--No! Please, Draco."

"Davina..."

I look up and saw him standing there. He was just bloody standing there.

"What did you do?" I ask at him, hearing my voice cracking.

"I-I.... I don't know." I saw it in his eyes, he was lying.

"What did you do?!" I shouted again.

"I'm sorry.... I didn't mean for this--"

"Leave." I said brushing Draco's hair with one hand and trying another spell.

"Davina..."

"For Merlin's sake, just leave Harry!" I shouted at him. What I didn't realize was my anger and frustartion had shattered all the mirrors in the bathroom along with the windows making all the glass shatter and pieces of it fell into the ground filled with water. Looking back down at Draco who was now unconscious and leaned my head against his. 

"Please... Don't leave me." i kiss his forehead. "Just hold on," i whispered. "Please. Come back to me."

There were footsteps walking in and walking over to opposite side of Draco. I glanced up and saw Snape.

He look at my brother for second before crouching down.

"Hold his head." he instructed me. I did and he began chanting a spell I wasn't familiar with. I watch as all the blood around Draco ran back and the wound closed. His breathing became normal. I notice that Harry was now long gone. 

"Stay with him, when he wakes we'll take him to the hospital wing." He got up and left the bathroom.

I felt a bit more relieved and place a hand over his chest still crying. He was still unconscious, I grabbed his wand that was on the flooded floor and pick it up. I froze the second I noticed something on his forearm. Slowly I reach over and grab a hold of his left arm and pulled his sleeve up and saw it. The Dark mark.

Harry was right. Draco was a death eater. I pulled the sleeve back down, covering it and began brushing my finger through his now wet hair.

I'm not leaving him. There had to be more to this story, I knew that much.

His eyes slowly opened as he groaned.

"Draco." I said sitting up.

He look at me with his beautiful clear blue eyes. "Davina."

"You're alive." I let out a relief sigh, then moved over and remember the water spilling all over the place. I grabbed my wand and stop the sink from pouring out more. Now I was sitting in front of him on my knees facing him. "Oh bless Merlin."

He let out a groan as he was sitting up.

"No, you're hurt."

"Darling..." he continued sitting up, being the stubborn man he is. I gave up and help him sit up slowly. He groaned as I let him lean against me. "Salazar...."

"Shh." I said running my hand through his hair. "Snape said it would hurt. We have to get you to the hospital wing. Merlin, I'm just glad you're alive." I wrap my arms around his neck and buried my face into his shoulder.

I felt him wrap one arm around me, pulling me closer to him.

"I love you," he whispered into my ear.

I let out a small laugh through my sobs and place a small kiss on his neck.

"I love you too." I told him.

I sat back as we look at each other and he pulled me into a kiss. I place both my hands on either side of his face, kissing him back.

Eventually Snape came back, as we pulled away. I help carried Draco to the hospital wing. Madame Pomfrey look up and quickly attended to Draco as he was place on the left towards the back away from the two other students, so no one grew suspicious about what really happened.

"Are you alright?" Draco ask barely speaking.

"You scared me." I told him, brushing his hair back.

He raised my hand and kiss my knuckle, his eyes were shutting close. "I'm fine."

"Get some rest. Madame Pomfrey will fix you up." 

He drifted off, his breathe becoming steady.

I heard Snape say something to Madame Pomfrey, what? I didn't know. He then left and Madame Pomfrey said that I should come back after I changed out of my wet clothes. I didn't even notice I was soak from my skirt, socks, and robes. I slowly got up and place a small kiss on Draco's forehead before I left. I was almost to the common room when I saw Alice waiting by the stairs.

"Davina are you okay?" she asked as she began inspecting me. "You're completely soak. Gordic, is that blood? What happened?"

"H-harry..." I still hadn't let that part sink in, I was so worried about Draco. "H-h-he...."

"You're in shock. Should we get you inside?" She said looking at my worriedly. 

I nodded, wanting nothing more than to get back to Draco.

We went inside and I wasn't ready for when I saw my brother, Hermione, Ron, Ginny, Simon, and Neville the only ones in the common room.

Harry look at me, our eyes lock and that's when something snap inside of me.

"Are you bloody insane?!" I shouted at him, marching over to him, making everyone freeze.

"Davina... I didn't know--"

"He's in the infirmary because of you, he could've died because of the stupid spell.... How could you?!"

"He hex Katie." He spoke softly. "And he didn't deny it."

"Doesn't give you the right. You're bloody well lucky you're not expelled! You're lucky Snape was there in time to save him!" I was stay in front of him at this point. "I stayed away from him like you wanted me to." I then push Harry back. "I did what you wanted me too. I choose my own brother and yet you still have the nerve to go and attack him!"

"How do you still care for him?" Simon spoke walking over. "He's a bad person, what Harry did was just defense--"

"Shut up, Simon.' Alice said angrily.

"Alice, always defending her."

"Sorry, I think you left your brain with the lost slut you were with. Say something bad about her and I'll hex you." I snapped at him.

Simon look at me bluffed. "I'm still positive Malfoy slip some sort of love potion in her, she's too dumbstruck and pathiec--"

I whip out my wand and stun Simon as he fell back and Neville and Ron look at me scared.

"What spell did you use?" I turned back at Harry. Feeling my entire body starting to shake. Simon stood up slowly with Neville and Ron's help.

"I just stun--"

"You're lying." I told him clutching my wand angrily. "Look at me Harry!" He did, as his eyes look at my shirt. "His blood is on me because of your choice. He nearly died, this is real. You stood there as he was bleeding out, you did nothing. He's in the infirmary, and you're bloody lucky Snape isn't going to press any troubles. After everything you owe me the truth."

Harry didn't say anything.

"What curse did you use Harry?"

"It's from the textbook." Ginny spoke softly. "The book from the half-blood prince."

I saw the book on the couch and grab it. I flip to the age that was already open and saw it written on the top.

Sectumsempra--- for enemies. 

That broke my heart. 

"You've known about this spell haven't you?" I didn't look at Harry because I couldn't.

"It's not harry's fault." Hermione jump in. "Davina please you have to understand."

I look at my brother and didn't want to deal with this anymore. I shut the book and shoved it to his chest.

He look torn to say something. 

"I'm done being told what to do. I'm done defending everything you say is good for me. Congratulations, you're just like him." 

I turned hard on my heels and went to my dorm. Alice was walking behind me as I headed upstairs and got out of my wet clothes.
