One

The summer was almost over and it's almost a week till Harry's birthday. Meaning Harry would be heading back to Hogwarts again, it hurted that he was excited to go back. Knowing Petunia and Vernon I was heading to state.

"Here." My uncle tossed a letter at my brother. "It's from that school."

I looked at Harry as he read the front of the letter. He glanced and held it to towards me, with a smile.

"It's for you."

"Me?"

"Oh no." I heard my aunt said ready to pass out.

I took the letter and read the letter address to me. I opened it and my whole world brighten up.

"I'm going to Hogwarts?" I said not believing it.

"No, absolutely not!" Uncle Vernon said marching over. "I've already allowed one of you to that disturbing school, I will not let you..." he pointed at me. "Go because they think you have some useless talent."

"Please Uncle Vernon, I promise to behave," I begged. "Please."

He looked at me and then sighed.

"Fine." He looked at both of us. "But you two better be on your best behavior until the minute you're at the station otherwise I'm not allowing either of you to go."

"Yes, Uncle Vernon." We both said.

"Now get dinner ready."

We went straight to the kitchen and as a thank you after dinner, I made then a dessert that I learned from my public school teacher.

I placed it on the table for them and they looked at me in surprise.

"Thank you, Uncle Vernon," I said and then went upstairs with Harry.

"Why did you do that?"

"Harry we're already pushing our luck, and even if they're not entirely nice to us. We can always give Dudley a piece of our minds."

"First rule about magic, we can't use it outside of Hogwarts."

"I didn't mean magic." I reached into my jacket and took out a wrap making of a cupcake. "Happy early birthday, brother." I sat down on the bed and held it out. He smiled as i put a candle that i bought with some money. He grabbed his wand and lit the candle.

"Thanks, Davina."

He blew it out and we got ready for bed. I went down to get a cup of water to drink. Washed the last of the dishes and tried to go to my room when I heard Uncle Vernon.

"I'm not going to let either of those two go to school if they mess up with the Mason's next week. I know that boy is doing magic, I won't stand for it much longer. I'll bar the windows to keep them in if I have to."

"Oh, Vernon."

Great, another thing I have to tell Harry about in the morning.

Something else was off he hasn't been receiving letters from his friends and it worried him, even if he doesn't tell me. I got it!

The next morning, Uncle Vernon sent me to give at the post office. I took Hedwig with me and when I was far enough I give her my letter and told him to go to Ron. If all else fails, I knew Ron would help us out. Hedwig flew off. I went to the post office gave the worker the package and then went back to the Dursleys.

It was a week and nothing came. Strange. Tonight uncle was having visitors from work.

Harry and I were helping Aunt Petunia around. We were going over what to do tonight. I was in the hallway writing in my journal. It usually brings me some peace. I write thinking somehow mom and dad would read it when I close it. When I was done I hugged my journal close to my chest and smiled.

Before the Mason's got here, I was helping Aunt Petituna put a few things away before heading upstairs where Harry was. I stop remembering that I left one more thing on the couch, I rush down and stop seeing Aunt Petituna holding a photo Harry had given me that was sticking out from my journal. I didn't do anything as I watch her look at the photo then put it back inside. I step back a few steps and walked back to meet Aunt Petunia.

"Here," she said holding my journal out to me.

"I'm sorry I left it out," I said then took the journal and headed upstairs.

I glance to where she was standing and notice she hadn't move for a moment then turned around and called out for her husband. I was outside in the hallway until the door opened and the Mason's arrived. I quietly headed to Harry and my room when I stop hearing a thud.

I opened the door and stop seeing a creature standing on Harry's bed.

"Harry? What's is--"

"Davina, don't freak out," Harry said rushing over and pulling me inside the shutting the door. "I'm just as confused as you are."

"Davina Potter." The creature said and smiled. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss."

"Harry...?" I said scared and freaking out inside. "What is that?"

"I'm Dobby Miss. Potter, Dobby the house-elf."

"Harry, Uncle Vernon is going to kill us if he finds out about him," I whispered.

"Dobby means no harm, Miss. Davina. Dobby only wants to keep Harry Potter safe."

"Safe?"

He nodded. "Dobby had come to warn Harry Potter, not to return to Hogwarts. Terrible things are about to happen."

"What do you mean Dobby?" I asked him.

"Who's plotting them?" Harry asked.

Dobby then began to act weird, getting up and grabbing the lamp to hit himself with.

"No, Dobby stop!"

Harry rush over to stop him while I stood there looking at the door and helped Harry trying to calm Dobby down. Oh, we were going to be in serious trouble.

We heard footsteps and looked at each other.

"Davina."

"I'm on it." I went to the door and stood there at the steps.

"What is going on up there?" Uncle Vernon whispered in a mad tone.

"What do you mean?"

He looked at me not believing it and walked inside our room. I walked in behind him and saw that Harry managed to hide Dobby. I saw him casually standing by the door of the closet, as Uncle Vernon asked what was going on and that we ruin his fine punch line.

"I think you'd nailed it anyway Uncle Vernon," I said in encouragement.

Highly doubt it but trying to make him feel better and not furious.

"Thank you." he looked back at Harry. "One more word and you'd wish you never been born."

"Yes sir." we both said as he walked out, shutting the door behind him. We both let out a big sigh in relief as Harry opened the closet and Dobby came back out.

"See why I have to go back and take my sister with me?" harry said to Dobby. "We don't belong here, we belong in your world at Hogwarts. It's the only place I've got friends."

"Friends who don't even write to Harry Potter?" Dobby said.

Wait...

"Well I'd expected they've been...hang on. How do you know my friends haven't been writing to me?"

"Harry Potter mustn't be angry with Dobby. Dobby hoped if Harry Potter thought his friends had forgotten him, he might not want to go back to school sir."

Dobby had taken out the abundance of letters that were all tied up together.

"It was you who was taking the mail," I said.

"Give me those now," Harry said.

"Umm. No!" Dobby shoved them back into his shirt as we both tried to catch him. I rushed out after it with Harry behind me as we raced down the stairs, quietly. Once we reach the bottom, Dobby stops right before the kitchen.

My eyes widen when I saw he was looking at the cake that Aunt Petunia had made for her guest.

"Dobby get back here this instant."

"Harry." I grabbed into his arm, tugging it.

Harry looked at me as I pointed to the cake. Looking back, Harry saw Dobby snapped his fingers and the cake started floating.

Oh boy...

"Harry Potter must say he and his sister not going back to school."

"We can't Dobby. Hogwarts is our home."

"Then Dobby must do it, sir, for his own good." he snapped his fingers again and Harry went after the cake.

I grabbed Dobby and tried to hold him but he kept moving around. Luckily I was quicker and grabbed my brother's letters before Dobby pushed off of me, making me fall to the ground. I saw Dobby smile and then snapped his fingers. I shut my eyes tightly hearing the cake fall into Uncle and Aunt's guest.

"I'm so sorry," Uncle Vernon said. "It's my nephew, he's very disturbed. Meeting strangers upsets him. That's why I kept him upstairs with his sister."

I reopened my eyes and watched as Dobby smiled and then snapped his fingers, making himself disappear into thin air.

The next morning Uncle Vernon, held his promise as barred up our window and put six locks on our door. He kept us in until he felt like letting us out. he let me out, it was mostly to punish Harry after he found out I've been sneaking in food to Harry. He also locked me inside with him.

"We're not going to Hogwarts are we Harry?" I asked him from the corner of the room.

He sat up and came over to me. "I'm not sure. You would've loved it. Hermione is dying to meet you, so are Ron, Neville, and a few of my other friends."

"What house would you think I would be in?" I said sitting up straighter.

"I don't know. Only the sorting hat does."

"From what you describe it, I don't think I'd want to go near it."

He smiled. "Come on, I'll teach you a few things."

Harry had pulled out one of his old books. Started teaching me a few things. I was starting to lose hope. Dobby's been intercepting our mails, chances are Ron probably never gotten mine.

While Harry was teaching me, I had started to fall asleep.

"Davina, wake up!" I heard Harry shaking me.

"Hmm? What's wrong?" I said yawning and rubbing my eyes.

"I don't know but come." I stood up and went to the window where he was looking at something. I was going to ask but then I saw what I couldn't even believe myself. A flying car.

The car came to our window and turned seeing who I knew was Ron and his brothers.

"Heya Harry."

"Ron, George, Fred. What are you doing here?"

"Recusing you and your sister of crouse." ron looked at me. "Hello Davina."

"Hello Ron," I said smiling.

"Come on now, get your things. We should get going," Fred said.

Harry and I got dress, well Harry did. I just throw a large robe over me and packed my trunk. I was going to Hogwarts.

"How did you know to come?"

"Your sister, of course," Ron told my brother. "Sent me a letter that if we didn't receive a letter from Hedwig tonight, it meant you were in trouble."

Harry looked at me and smiled. "You're brilliant."

"Obviously," I said.

Ron and his brother got to work and got a rope around the bars, pulling it. I quickly slipped on my boots and packed my sneakers and slippers in as well. The bars were pulled, but it didn't go quite softly as I think it was meant to be. It was loud and I knew uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia were awake.

"Come on!" they backed up as Harry grabbed both of our trunks and put them in the back. I raced over and grabbed hedwig and another bag that held my journal, harry's wand, a jacket, and our family album, as well as some money. They turned back and Harry let me go in first. Ron went to the back with me, as i held onto Hedwig. We saw Uncle Vernon coming in and went running towards Harry. My brother jumped in and i grabbed onto him with y free arm, so did Ron.

"Harry!" I shouted holding onto my brother.

"Let go!"

"You, your sister, and that pigeon aren't going anywhere!" Uncle Vernon shouted.

"Drive!" Ron said to his brother. The car picked up and I watch as we pulled Uncle Vernon with us and finally released Harry. The car took off and it felt free.

"By the way, Happy Birthday Harry," Ron said to my brother.

"Thanks," Harry said.

"Hello, I'm George." one of the twins said.

"And I'm Fred."

I smiled. "Davina."

"So you're excited for your first year? Fred asked.

I nodded and smiled.

This year was certainly going to be interesting.
