1.6. Run

That Saturday morning, Harry and Louis both woke up around the same time, and after they took a shower, they went out to have breakfast out.

Once they were done with breakfast, though, they continued their sightseeing tour where they had left it off last weekend, and Louis took Harry to see the Big Ben, the London Eye, Tower Bridge, and the Tower of London.

"I feel like at this pace I'll be able to see everything before I even have to go back to Manchester" Harry considered.

They were finishing their touristy activities by eating chips from a food truck, and they were really good.

"I don't want to think about that" Louis mumbled.

"What?" Harry asked.

"You going back home, I don't wanna think about it, it makes me sad" Louis told him.

"I'm not going back until another month a half" Harry brushed off.

"Yeah..." Louis said, and he still looked sad, so Harry decided to change the subject.

"So what are you doing tonight?" Harry asked.

"Uhm... I'm not sure" Louis replied "A friend just texted that her and some others are going to a club, do you want to go?".

"What kind of club is it?" Harry wondered.

Because he wasn't such a big fun of clubs, although the still went sometimes, but he was definitely more of pub guy.

"It's called Atlantis, it's cool, I've been there a few times, it's mostly EDM, I don't know if you're into that" Louis explained.

"I don't listen to EDM, but it's fun at a club" Harry considered.

"So you wanna go with me?" Louis smiled.

"Sure, I'll go" Harry agreed.

Louis' smile widened, and he gave Harry a kiss on the lips, which made Harry feel happy and endeared by Louis.

After having made those plans, when they finished eating, Louis dropped Harry off at his uncle's flat so he could get ready for going to the club later, and they agreed to meet there at 11:30, because according to Louis it wasn't worth it to get there earlier than that.

And because it was still early, Harry didn't get ready right away, and he texted some of his friends to catch up, and he also called his mum, because she had called earlier but Harry didn't pick up (although he texted that he was busy and would call her later).

But as 11:30 PM approached, Harry got ready, told his uncle that he was going out again and might not come home for the night, and left the flat, going to the address Louis and given him.

He arrived a little earlier, so he texted Louis saying he was there already, and he got a reply right away from Louis saying he was on his way and to wait for him outside.

So Harry did, and about 10 minutes later, he saw Louis getting out of a taxi right outside the club.

"What happened to the bike?" Harry asked as he approached him.

"I want to drink so I left it at home" Louis explained.

"Good call" Harry agreed.

"So I don't get a kiss hello?" Louis pouted.

"Sure you do" Harry agreed, and pecked his lips "Should we go in?".

"Yeah" Louis smiled.

They had to wait in line for a while, but not a long time, and after Louis paid for both their entrance fees (against Harry's protests), they went inside.

The club was pretty cool, it has a big bar and a bunch of tables filled with people, and then there was a wide but no long staircase that led to a big space where there was a DJ and people were dancing.

"Let's get a drink" Louis told him loudly, so Harry could hear.

Harry nodded, and Louis held his hand and led him to an open space at the bar, and ordered something before Harry could say anything.

"What did you get?" Harry asked.

"Shots" Louis replied just as the bartender poured 4 shot glasses with something.

"Of what?" Harry asked, because he hadn't had a good look at the bottle.

But either Louis didn't hear him, or he didn't want to answer because he just handed Harry one of the shots, and he held one himself.

"Take it" Louis said, and drank his own shot, his face not revealing anything "Come on".

Harry took it, and drank the shot, which was strong, and he realized it was some sort of whiskey, which Harry wasn't a fan of. And as soon as Harry put the shot down, Louis offered him another one, but Harry shook his head.

"Why not?" Louis asked.

"I didn't like it" Harry told him.

Louis rolled his eyes, and took the shot he had offered Harry as well as the one that was left on the bar, but his face remained unchanged as he did.

"Do you want something else?" Louis asked him.

"A gin and tonic" Harry replied.

Louis turned to the bartender again, and ordered, then the bartender served two gin and tonics, and Louis handed him cash, and took the drinks.

"Lou, I can pay for my own drink" Harry pointed out.

"You'll get the next round" Louis decided "Let's go look for my friends".

Harry agreed, and Louis held his hand again, and led him across the nightclub, until they reached a table which had around 6 people sitting at it, and then there were 5 or more standing around it.

"Hey, everyone" Louis greeted the group, and then pointed at Harry "This is Harry".

Harry waved, and was surprised to see some people looked away, a lad roll his eyes, and then he clearly heard someone ask 'who invited Louis?', and then there was mumbled 'so annoying', which frankly shocked Harry.

So he looked at Louis, wondering if he had seen that or heard it, but Louis seemed busy talking to one of the girls that had been standing.

"Harry, this is Meg" Louis introduced him.

"Hi, Meg" Harry smiled.

"Hi, it's great to meet you" Meg said, and smiled too.

Harry was glad to see that she seemed genuinely nice, but wondered what was going on here, and if Louis really though of this entire group as his friends, or just some of them.

"You too" Harry said back.

They talked for a little while through the loud music, and then Louis told Harry that he was going to the toilet, saying he would be right back, and Harry just said okay, and continued talking to Meg.

But then some lad came up to Meg, and she hugged him and kissed him, so Harry guessed that was her boyfriend. And before he could even think about maybe talking to someone else, he turned around and other of Louis' 'friends' spoke to him.

"Harry, right?" some brunette girl asked.

"Yes" Harry confirmed.

"So you're Louis' latest victim?" she questioned.

"Sorry?" Harry questioned.

"That's what we call all the poor lads that Louis goes out with" a lad said, he was the one who had rolled his eyes before.

"Uhm..." Harry hesitated, he was so confused about this.

"You should run away while you can" another girl said, she was short, and had red hair.

Harry frowned.

"We're trying to help you out, mate, you seem normal and not crazy like him" a new guy said.

"Oh my god, he's insane" the brunette laughed "And not in a good way".

"And he follows us everyone, like why? He knows we don't want to hang out with him" the read head spoke.

"It's so desperate, it's pathetic" a new brunette commented, and she sounded really drunk.

"Not even the drinks he buys are worth it" the new guy laughed.

"Ugh, he's coming" the original brunette girl said.

Harry suddenly felt Louis' hand in his, and he turned to look at him, and he was smiling, so he leaned down to give him a kiss, not only because he wanted to, but also because he felt so bad about what had been said about him.

"Let's go dance" Harry proposed.

"Yeah?" Louis gave him a lazy smile.

Harry nodded, and gave Louis another kiss on the lips, which made him smile more.

"Okay" Louis agreed.

"Let's go" Harry decided, and held Louis' hand, wanting to take him far away from this people.

They went up the small staircase to the dance floor, where there was a lot of people dancing to the electronic music that the DJ was playing, and they danced together while they had their drinks.

For the next two hours, Harry made it his mission for Louis not to go back to he so called friends, and which meant a lot of dancing and going to the bar to get more drinks, as well as toilet breaks (courtesy of the drinks).

It was past 2 in the morning, at which point Louis was pretty drunk, and Harry wasn't far behind, when their decided to leave, and Harry got him out of there without saying goodbye to the other people, and Louis didn't even notice, or complain about it.

"My place, right?" Louis asked Harry.

"Yeah, babe" Harry smiled.

"Okay..." Louis smiled too, and got his phone out "I'm gonna get us an Uber".

Despite how drunk he was, Louis was able to do that, and when their Uber arrived they got in the back seat together.

"I had soooo much fun" Louis declared.

"Me too" Harry said, and held Louis' hand "You made it fun".

"Yeah?" Louis asked.

"Of course" Harry said, and gave him a kiss.

"We didn't get to spend a lot of time with my friends, though" Louis considered.

"Hmm" Harry hummed.

Louis rested his head on Harry's shoulder, and they didn't talk for a while, and for a second there, Harry thought maybe Louis had fallen asleep.

"Did you like them, though? My friends?" Louis wanted to know.

"I honestly didn't" Harry blurted out.

"Why?" Louis asked, and lifted his head from Harry's shoulder to look at him.

"They're pretty shïtty people" Harry informed him.

"Why would you say that? They're my friends" Louis fought.

"No, they're not" Harry denied, because if there was thing he was sure of, was that those people couldn't be called friends.

"What's that supposed to mean?".

"They were all rude to you the second we got there, except that girl Meg, and when you went to the bathroom, they told me I should run away from you while I could because you're crazy" Harry informed Louis.

"That's not true" Louis denied.

"Why would I lie about it?" Harry dared.

"Because you're jealous!" Louis exclaimed.

"Of what? Of your shït friends?" Harry laughed.

"They're not shït!" Louis insisted, and he was angry now "What the fück is wrong with you?".

"We're here" the Uber driver suddenly announced.

Harry looked out the window and realized they had in fact gotten to Louis' place, and before he could say anything Louis got out of the car, and when Harry did the same, the car left.

"What's wrong with you? I take you to meet my friends and then you hate on them for no reason?" Louis suddenly yelled, right there in the middle of the street.

"Keep your voice down" Harry told him, not wanting to wake up the neighbors, specially Louis' grandparents.

"Why?" Louis dared, and he was still being loud "Why should I keep my voice down?".

"Because people are sleeping" Harry whispered "Let's just go upstairs and we can talk".

"No!" Louis exclaimed " Go away! You're not coming inside!".

"What?" Harry asked, his voice hushed.

"You think I'm gonna sleep with you after you talked shït about my friends?" Louis dared.

"I don't want to sleep with you, I just want you to calm down and go inside" Harry told him, somehow he had completely sobered up.

"Leave me alone! I hate you!" Louis screamed.

The front door of Louis' house suddenly opened, and a woman who seemed to be around 60 appeared in a robe, and Harry had to guess she was Louis' nan.

"Louis, what's going on?" the woman asked, her face worried "It's almost 3 in the morning".

"Nothing" Louis said harshly.

"Come inside the house, love" she told him.

Louis didn't even look at Harry, and went inside the front door, leaving Harry out there feeling confused.

"I'm really sorry, he just got upset over something we were talking about... but I didn't do anything bad to him" Harry said, feeling the need to explain "We're friends".

"Just go home, darling" Louis' nan told him.

"Uhm... okay" Harry agreed.

The woman closed the door, and Harry stayed there for a few seconds trying to make sense of all of this.

He was so confused, and also worried and hurt, but he knew there was nothing he could do, so he just walked away from the house, knowing he had to figure out how to get home now.

A.N. That ending was a bit intense, right?

What did you think of the chapter?

Should Harry keep seeing Louis again after this?

Thank you so much for reading! 😻😻
