After school, Kie and Sarah go back to Kies house, while John b and pope go to the chateau.

When they get to chateau, they find JJ out on the dock with a rod in his hand and a beer next to him on the floor.

JJ makes his way to the porch and goes inside  leaving his rod against the wall.

"JJ come on stop acting like you don't miss her" pope says

"I don't need to miss her, we're still friends" JJ says as if it was completely normal.

"Come on JJ have y'all even talked since you called things off?" John b asks following him into the kitchen

"I haven't seen her" JJ shrugs

"Why didn't you go to school today" John b interrogates

"Because I didn't feel like it dam leave me alone" JJ says while walking into the guest bedroom and shutting the door.

John b and pope just looked at each other, not knowing what to do.

They left him alone for the rest of the night. JJ occasionally leaving and walking outside to think.

The next morning John b made sure that JJ went to school with them. He basically had to drag him to the van. And once they got to school, JJ tried to convince him to let him leave. But he didn't.

They met up with pope and walked through the court yard where they eventually met up with Sarah and Kie.

"Hey guys" Sarah said to all of them.

They all head to class but Sarah and Kie walked a little behind them.

Kie sighs and they walk into class.

First period, JJ and kie had Together. He sat there only thinking about her. But tried to act as if it didn't bother him at all.

At lunch, they all met up at the same picnic table as always. Kie sat next to Sarah, and JJ sat on the table with his feet on the bench next to John b.

Once the bell rang, everyone started walking to the building but JJ stayed a little behind the group to avoid Kie.

Kie notices this, and turns around, leaving the group to go talk to him.

A week had gone by. JJ did nothing but argue with Kie and try to push her away even more. Kie knew it was just him trying to self sabotage, but eventually all the hurtful words started to effect her and she started fighting back most times.

"That's great yea I'm happy for you" John b says trying to start back up conversation, feeling bad for his best friend.

JJ doesn't say anything and starts walking away to the porch.

No one says anything for a minute

"Shit" John b mumbles as JJ goes inside.

Kie looks around at the rest of the pogues, waiting for them to do something.

"Really John b" she says as she gets up from the cooler and heads to the house as well.

Kie rushes into the Chateau to find him.

"JJ?" She calls out as she notices that he wasn't in the kitchen or the living room

"Jay" she calls out again while running to the hallway

"J-" she stops when she spots him im the guest bedroom.

He looks up at her from across the room. He was on the other side of the bed, she could tell he was pacing.

"JJ" she runs up to him

"Stop it Kie" he says annoyed, but less casual than he had been about it before.

"What are you doing In here" she asks

"Leave me alone" he says and tries to walk past her to get threw the door.

"No!" She says while stepping in front of him so that he couldn't leave. "JJ stop." She says firmly.

He steps back a little, surprised by her seriousness

"JJ listen to me" she begs

He tried to walk past her again but she stops him.

He didn't step back this time. They were face to face but JJ quickly looked away. Turning his whole head to the side.

"JJ" she says to him but he doesn't move

"JJ look at me!" She says firmly while grabbing his face with one hand and turning it toward her. Pinching his cheeks in
