The next morning, Kie woke up to a very awkward environment in her house. No one was really talking and if they did, it was only because they needed to.

She skipped breakfast and left for school early just to get out of it.

She got to school and met up with Sarah like she always did.

"So... I heard" Sarah said once they met up.

"Who told you?" Kie asked

"John b" she responded "well.. and JJ last night. He came home kinda upset. He said Mike wouldn't let him in the house anymore"

"Ugh, yeah my dads being such a dick right now" Kie rolled her eyes "he literally took my phone."

"He took your phone for being pregnant?" Sarah laughed a little "is that really an appropriate punishment"

"Right" Kie laughed. And they kept walking

"So you're getting rid of it then?" sarah asked once they got in the bathroom

"I have to" Kie replied "I'm really not ready to have a baby, I hope you understand"

"Are you kidding? Yes I understand" Sarah said "if I got pregnant, I would have already aborted it by now. Kids are something I see wayyy in my future"

"Yea" Kie agreed

"Hey, have you talked to JJ since last night?" Sarah asked, sitting on the sink

"No? Why?" Kie asked

"I dunno he just sounded worried this morning" Sarah said "he's been a mess lately I can't lie"

"What do you mean..?" Kie asked slowly

"Well.. He's been drinking when he comes home. More than normal" Sarah said "and he just goes outside and sits on the dock for hours"

"Oh.." Kie said looking down

"Do you know why?" Sarah asked

"He was kinda mad that I agreed to the abortion at first.." Kie explained

"Wait really?" Sarah asked "he doesn't want a kid right now anyways. ? Why would he be mad?"

"Well- he wasn't mad, he was just" Kie thought "okay he was a little mad. I don't know, but we got into a big fight about it and then he left mid argument one night and didn't come back until morning."

"HE LEFT?!" Sarah asked, shocked

"Yea, I know." Kie said, A little disappointed "but then he came back the next morning and told me that he was fine with whatever choice I made."

"But.. he's not really, is he?" Sarah asked

"I thought he was." Kie said "but, I guess not"

"I can't believe he left" Sarah said, hopping down from the sink

"I can" Kie admitted "I just can't believe he got that mad"

"What do you mean?" Sarah said, a little takin back.

"I mean, I know how he gets when he's mad." Kie explained. "It's not the first time he's left mid argument. But he's been working on his anger lately and he's been doing a really good job. Just- I dunno, it was a really stressful day, and I think It was just a little too much for him."

"Kie- he's a 16 year old boy" Sarah said "you're describing a toddler who missed nap time"

They both laughed

"Yea" she laughed "that's just the way he is sometimes though. I knew that getting into it, and he really has gotten a lot better."

"Mhm" Sarah made a face
"you might want to talk to him though" she said, grabbing her bag off the floor. "Bro was trippin out this morning"

Kie laughed and followed Sarah out the door.

They met up with the boys like normal but JJ wasn't there

"Where's JJ?" Kie asked pope and John b

"He went looking for you" John b replied

"That's stupid, we meet up here everyday" Kie questioned

John b just shrugged.

"Where did he go?" She asked

"I saw him walking to the west side of the building" pope added and Kie instantly left to go find him.

She walked around for a little while before JJ came up from behind her

"There you are" JJ said, relieved

"Hey" Kie said, turning to face him "I was looking for you"

"I was looking for you" JJ said, handing her her favorite iced coffee and muffin

"What is this?" Kie smiled, looking up at him

"Just thought you might need breakfast" he shrugged

She tilted her head a little suspiciously

"Also.... I kinda feel bad" he admitted

"For?" She laughed

He looked at her like she should already know.

"JJ, you don't need to feel bad about that. Was it a dick thing to do? Yes" she said playfully "but it's over now, alright?"

JJ just looked at her, still a little guilty

"I will, however, accept your apology muffin" she giggled, accepting the food.

He chuckled and they started walking the halls. They held hands and she occasionally took sips of her coffee while they talked. The paper bag with the muffin in it was being held in her finger tips.

"You stopped responding last night, I kinda thought you were mad" JJ said as they walked

"Oh- yeah sorry, my dad took my phone away" she explained

"Why?" He asked, confused

"Because he's a dick" she said casually, taking another sip

He laughed a little, happy that she was in such a good mood. After all that they went through over the weekend, it felt good to just talk to her like normal again.

"My dad is pretty mad about it though" Kie said, starting to talk in a deep voice to mock him "'he's gotta know that his actions have consequences'" she mocked, pointing with her finger

"So he's mad at me?" JJ asked to confirm

"Yeaaa.." Kie said slowly

"I mean.. I don't really blame him" he shrugged

"JJ stop" she said, playfully pushing into him. She then lifted their hands up and went under his arm and put it back down, around her. "Stop feeling bad. I don't have the energy to be mad about that so let's just move on" she said, looking up at him

He looked down at her and smiled as they walked.

The bell eventually rang and they had to go to their classes.

"Hey, I want to talk after school, so don't leave without seeing me first, okay?" Kie said as he dropped her off at her class.

"Alright" he smiled and gave her a quick kiss before going to his class. "Love you"

"I love you" she smiled and then walked in the room.
