Ace was hearing voices but he couldn't make what they were saying.

He didn't particularly want to wake up. Everything hurts, every part of his body was screaming that he should just go to sleep again and that's what he also want, he just wants to sleep, everything is comfortable here like this.

Until he hear someone say luffy, upon hearing luffy's name everything that has happened come running to his head he has to see his little brother, he can't just lie here when he didn't even know if his little brother is even okay.

He heard someone say "luffy don't go" where is luffy going and who was telling him not to go, no he can't sleep again he has to wake up even if everything from his toe nail to his hairs hurt, it doesn't matter, if it's for luffy, nothing ever mattered. Only luffy matters.

Ace slowly opened his eyes , somewhat dazzily.

"Aaahh too bright" thought ace he again closed his eyes and opened them very slowly again, adjusting to the bright light.

He was just there staring at the ceiling processing everything that has happened to them. He literally forget that he took dadan's advice and asked whitebeard pirates to help him.

He turned his head to side where sound of someone yelling was coming from, he saw two people one with ridiculous hair as it looked like he didn't comb his hair and another man or women?? who was wearing mascara and makeup more than any girl ace had ever seen.

That makeup person was yelling something trying to hit the man with ridiculous hair and that guy was snapping back just as viciously and loudly in between his yelling.

But main question is luffy, where is he??

"....th'..hell" said ace, his throat was so dry and hurting so much just from some words.

The two man fighting there froze, both staring at him.

"Ace yoi??" Ace turned his head a little to look at the familiar face, ace could never forget that fruit like hairstyle it's that person,the person who saved him, who saved his precious brother.

Luffy! where is he??my little brother.(ace thought, now gaining full conscious)

Suddenly he didn't care about pain, he
Heaved himself up, gripping the railings of the medical bed to keep himself from falling back down. His body hurt so much , his hair was falling into his eyes , but that didn't prevent him from glaring at the people infront of him. His free hand balling into a fist and setting itself on fire.

"Where is my little brother?" Ace snarled.

Thatch gasped, he took a step forward with Marco.

"Ace, right? Ace, luffy is fine" thatch said trying to sound gentle. Marco was standing beside him ready to stop any attack that might come to them, seeing as ace's fist was on fire.

"Where is he? Tell me, where's my brother?" Ace asked angrily.

Ace felt his breath growing shorter, there was a distant pain in the back of head, which was growing second by second. He ignored it trying to focus on the flames in his fist, he has to be ready in case he has to fight them for luffy. It's getting hard to breath, it feels like he is going to pass out again.

But if anything happened to his precious brother he is going to take these 3 with him. He is going to kill everyone here.

"What did you do to my brother"

"Aaahh of all time the chef had to make a apple candy now , i should have brought candy here with me instead of sending that kid to kitchen" mumbled izou to himself while panicking, but thatch and Marco Heard it and they couldn't agree more.

Tate told them that ace shouldn't use his devil fruit powers because his body isn't healed properly, if he use it again it's going to take toll on him and his body and they don't know what will happen then.

"Look kid-, i mean ace your brother just went to eat apple candy, don't worry he is all good and fine, he will be back in a min-" izou couldn't even complete his sentence.

"ACE"

Comes a yell from the door.

"Luffy" he breathed out, feeling light headed with relief.

"Ace" luffy raced towards his bed, ready to jump on him but instead he caught mid-air by that make up person.

"Whoah"

Ace snarled again, but luffy was just laughing swinging his legs back and forth.ace looked at him or her???

"My name is izou and I'm a man" said izou noticing the confusion on ace's face while setting luffy down.

Ace grunted, not caring about the explanation. He was feeling a little dizzy and luffy was laughing so he ignored that, this man didn't let luffy hug him.

"Luffy be careful you are still not fully healed and ace is also injured don't jump on him like this." Said izou sternly.

Ace rolled his eyes at that, how dare he scold his brother.

"Luffy,come here" ace said softly while opening his arms for luffy.

His little brother clambered up on the bed and carefully settled in ace's arms.

Ace ignored the unbearable pain in his body and squeezed his little brother tight, nuzzling his head in luffy's soft hair. Sighing in relief. His racing heart began to settle upon having his brother back.

His little ray of sunshine was okay, nothing bad happened to him. They really escaped that magma bastard.

"Are you okay?" ace whispered softly.

Luffy nodded his head with his usual wide grin which could rival sun itself.

"I'm okay ace, everybody's really nice here, thatchy gives me lots of tasty food and fish guy let me go fishing with him and giant old man tells me lots of story and pineapple lets me fly on his back! sometimes."

"That's great lu" ace said slowly, tightening his grip on his brother, he still don't trust this people, he uneasily looked at the people staring at him.

A man with kimono and lots of makeup enought for more than half of the population of East blue.

A man with ridiculous hairstyle, which is adding extra foot to his height.

And lastly the first division commander of whitebeard pirates he has pineapple like hair, blue eyes with a calm expression but a dangerous and strong aura to him.

He ignored them for time being , he squeezed luffy one more time before lifting him up despite the unbearable pain that is making his dizzy and stood him up on the bed. So he could take a good look.

Luffy giggled at that, opening his arms and giving a spin off , so that ace could look at him properly.

Ace stopped him,opening his shirt. He stared.

Ace gently ran his fingers along his brothers chest, there was a big angry, red X mark on his chest, that painful mark. Ace gritted his teeth, bangs convering his eyes, he ones again hugged luffy tight to his chest.

There was a cough from that ridiculous hairstyle guy "umhh"

"Shut up" ace said coldly, still hugging luffy. Luffy giggled.

"Umhh okay ace, i will go and prepare a decent and healthy meal for you, by the way my name is thatch and I'm head chef and also fourth division commander." Thatch introduced himself smiling at him.

Ace just nodded his head now stroking luffy's hair.

Thatch went out with izou and Marco just looked at him not moving from his place.

"What!?" Asked ace coldly.

"No need to be so rude yoi, i just want to let you know that if you need anything you can ask me or anyone here yoi" Marco said looking calmly at ace.

Before ace could bark back Marco was out of the door.

Ace looked down to luffy only to find him snuggled against ace's left side, head resting on ace's chest, exactly where his heart at listening to his heartbeat, it was one of the things he had discovered when luffy had still been a baby, that would calm him down quickly.

Ace smiled and jostled luffy a little.

"Luffy" listening to ace luffy tilted his head a little in a questionable way.

"Are you okay? Lu" asked ace again, he wants to make sure that luffy is really okay. Ace was horrified to see tears start to well up in luffy's eyes.

"I thought you would never wake up ace....., but thatchy told me that you are definitely going to wake up and you are finally awake now."

Ace tightened the grip, he had on the boy and leaned his head over to press a kiss on luffy's forehead and his raven hair.

"I know lu, i know. I'm so sorry , i scared you, baby boy" ace said feeling sad and guilty for worrying his little brother.

Thatch was back with a tray of healthy, delicious looking food.

"Ace this is for you and luffy this snacks is for you" thatch said kindly and gently.

Ace flinched and sat back, growling at thatch. snatching away the tray from thatch's hand.

Thatch raised his hand up in the air, peacefully.

Luffy blinked wide eyed , looking from ace to thatch to ace again, he put his small hands on either side of ace's cheeks.

"Ace?"

Ace dropped his glare and looked at luffy.

"I'm okay , lu"

Luffy frowned at him , looking worried.

"Why are you angry ace" luffy asked, staring in his brother's eyes.

"Everyone's been really nice to me and they even fixed up all of your cuts and made you all better"

Thatch smiled hearing luffy, it made him happy that luffy trust them and was happy with them.

"That's good lu" ace said , suddenly feeling exhausted, mentally and physically.

Thatch noticed this.

"Luffy, it's alright make sure that ace eat everything, okay! And ace after eating make sure you take rest and sleep. When you will wake up tomorrow, whiskey is going to check you up" said thatch while going outside, leaving brothers alone.

Ace and luffy eat their food and snacks and after that, ace cuddled with luffy and soon luffy was asleep, probably tired. Ace just stared at ceiling, lost in his own thoughts.

(I thought it was too long so i divided this chapter into two parts)

(These is where our chapter ends. Thankyou for reading and i forget lots of words😅😂, so i write them in a different way I hope it isn't too problematic to read, i like the idea of ace calling luffy, lu. And that x mark on luffy's chest is a sign of his pain and his growth so, i want luffy to have it, yeah)

(I'm not going to drag it much , as I say ace is going to be a little out of character here so he is going to join whitebeard pirates soon)
