Luffy coughed violently. He'd sick from past three days.

"A..ce......" Luffy whispered.

"Yeah yeah luffy, I'm here." ace whispered, while holding luffy's hand in his.

Flashback...

They docked on an really small island which has no sign of human and animals, the island wasn't even on maps.but they decided to stop there just in case they find something interesting.

All of them were scattered around in small groups and one of the group was luffy, ace and thatch.

All three of them was just wandering carelessly and when they hear the sound of water.

"Hey thatch can you hear this? The sound of water falling" ace asked.

"Well now you said it , i can hear it too" thatch said.

"Wait! What are you guys Talking about ace , thatchy" luffy whined.

Both of them looked at each other, nodding there head, they went in the direction where the voice was coming from.

But they didn't notice luffy going in another direction in the middle.

"Suggeee a beetle" luffy said with stars in his eyes.

He has never seen beetles this big in his village nor in mountains.

"Woah they are so many beetles and insec-" something caught his eyes and that was a really tempting and tasty looking mushroom 🍄

And luffy who is an idiot, didn't even bother to check it or anything like that he just went ahead and ate that mushroom.

And he was immediately disgusted by the taste of it.

"Huh! It looked good but it doesn't taste that good" luffy thought.

"Lufyyyyy where are you?" He heard ace calling him.

"I'm here ace" luffy shouted back.

"Luffy where were you come fast, me and thatch discovered a waterfall" ace said happily.

"Let's go there ace" luffy yelled excitedly.

On that same day in night after dinner.

The twist of his stomach caught him off guard, and Luffy grunted in pain, balling his fist. Even though wasn't quite used to that foreign feeling, he leaned over to the side and suddenly today's meal was all out.

He couldn't control his body, nor did he know how to. He tried his best to gasp for air but in no avail. He continued to clutch his stomach in hopes to stop the burning of his throat and the soreness of his abdomen, yet nothing worked.

as Luffy's whole face was flushed, his gasps were shallow and his body was shaking awfully.

"What is happening..?" Luffy thought as it was getting hard to breath.

Hearing luffy's painful whimpers, ace woke up. Only to see luffy's whole body shaking, face red.

Ace jerked up, panicked.

"Luffy what's wrong ?" Ace asked flailing his arms, confused.

"A.ce.. it hurts, it hurts so muc-" Luffy coughed again, vomiting his guts out.

Ace took luffy in his arms, wrapping blanket around him(luffy) and ran towards Marco's room.

Knock knock

Marco woke up to someone banging his door violently.

"Ace what are you doing here yoi?" Marco asked as he opened door.

Luffy coughed again.

"Luffy yoi?? What's wrong?" Marco asked.

"I don't know Marco but something happened to him he is puking and coughing and he has a really high fever." Ace said panicked, scared because this has never happened luffy never got sick before.

"Let's take him to infirmary yoi" Marco said, he and ace then weng to infirmary.

Luffy was finally able to breath through ventilator and sleep after the medicine.

"Tate what's wrong yoi ? what happened to him ?" Marco asked after tate was done with everything.

"I don't really know from the way he was , he most probably was having a hard time breathing and his stomach was hurting. Ace does luffy has any type of allergy?" Tate asked.

"No"

"Okay. So i think it might be food posining or something else for now, we don't know anything, I will ask luffy if he has eaten anything bad when he wake up in the morning, and don't worry he will be okay" tate said and went away from there.

"Luffy...." Ace whispered, eyes covered with his hands.

"Ace yoi, don't worry, like tate said he will be okay yoi" Marco said as he rubbed a soothing hand on ace's back.

Next morning.....

"Luffy my sweet little boy, I know it's hard but did you eat something strange, here on the ship? Or somewhere or on that Island we stopped yesterday? Something that tasted yuck?" Tate asked sweetly. Almost everyone get to know about luffy's sickness and wanted to come to see luffy but tate strictly said no to them.

Luffy was turning red from thinking too much but finally he remembered eating something that tasted yuck.

"Nee..s..an i ate a mush...room it was yuck" luffy said weakly he was having a hard time speaking.

"A mushroom? I wonder what kind of mushroom was that, crystal go and bring that books which has all type of poisonous mushroom in it" tate said to her fellow nurse.

Nodding her head crystal went ahead and brought the book.

"Luffy do you remember how that mushroom looks like?" Luffy nodded his head.

"Okay good. Can you tell me which of this mushroom is yuck" tate said sweetly.

Tate started showing luffy pictures of diffrent mushrooms.

"This..o..ne neesan" luffy said when that particular mushroom came.

"Okay good thankyou so much luffy, now go ahead and rest okay" tate said and gestured all of them to come out with her and leave luffy alone.

"Well it's not good" tate said.

"WHAT!? What do you mean by that tate? What is wrong? What happened to luffy? He is going to be okay right? You are doctor right ! Please do something" ace said helplessly.

"Well ace first calm down yoi and let her finish yoi " Marco said putting his head on ace's shoulder.

"I'm sorry tate please continue"

Tate glared at him before continuing.

"So like I said it's not good because this mushroom is known as Caesars mushroom and it can only be found in really humid places. So basically if someone eat this mushroom, upon reaching inside someone's stomach and getting even a little bit amount of hydrochloric acid, it started to grow like a tree , it works as a seed and it actually attacks the stomach and lungs which make it hard for anyone who ate this to breath and cause immense pain in stomach and abdomen." She said and closed the book.

(I just searched poisonous mushroom on Google and the name ceasers mushroom come up, so I just wrote it down and i made up the disease)

Marco and ace were too stunned to speak. It's too much.

"But don't worry our next island is drum island also known as the island of doctors. They have finest doctors in the world and have cure for a lot of deadly diseases and one of them is this too." Ace and Marco sighed in relief so luffy will be okay.

"So Marco how long till we reach drum island" ace asked.

"Oyy jack how long till we reach next island yoi " Marco asked jack one of the member of 2nd division.

"Probably 3 days Marco san"

"Okay so we have three days, and then we will be able to cure luffy properly, till then I will take care of him" tate said and went inside the infarmary.

Flashback ends...

"Don't worry luffy just few minutes and then you will be all good again" ace whispered gently massaging luffy's head.

"Aha! there it is, the mobydick. The ship of whitebeard pirates, looks like they are going to dock on drum island well that's good for me. I will just go ahead and see dragon san's son and I will be own my way. Travelling just to see some random kid, (bro said random kid💀) who is happen to be the son of dragon san is kinda boring" blue gentalman talked to himself as he watch whitebeard pirates preparing to dock on island.
