On mobydick ~

Marco was regretting his life choices because taking care of luffy is hella tough. The boy is full of energy he bounce of everywhere on the ship and his streching ability is making things more tough he would just slingshot everywhere, falling down from the height which can kill a normal adult.

This was the most active Marco has ever been and luffy was able to worn out even thatch who is always full of energy.

During dinner~
Luffy who's stomach is actually a black hole, he literally eat food which is enough for 12 grown man, alone.

But right now he wasn't eating much. he just eat a average/normal kid sized serving of food and thatch is actually very worried because luffy has been out of infirmary for 3 days and he had never eaten this much less food , Marco was also worried he just don't wanna admit it.

Thatch, Marco and pops noticed everything , they shared a look and was back at eating their food.

After dinner ~

Thatch and luffy was out on deck looking ahead towards moon.
When thatch asked.

"Hey luffy , is something wrong? You know I especially made lots of meat for you, but you didn't eat it, aren't you gonna tell me, your thatchy what's wrong hmm."

"Thatchy.." comes a small sad whisper from luffy.

Thatch's heart hurt , hearing luffy so sad and vulnerable he wasted no time in hugging luffy. He hugged luffy tight making him bury his face in his chest , thatch burying his face in luffy's soft hair showing him brotherly love.

That's when luffy started crying he missed it. Whenever luffy was sad or scared ace would always hug him like this. Tightly to his chest.

When thatch feels his shirt getting wet, he knew luffy is crying he didn't say anything, he just stand there hugging luffy tight to his chest, making sure that luffy knows that no matter what, thatch is here for him.

After sometime when luffy was just sniffing and not crying, thatch again asked.

"Now luffy, it's alright okay. Everything is going to be fine, tell me what's wrong?"

"When is ace going to wake up, I miss him. It's been so many days and ace is still sleeping. I want to talk to ace, i want my brother" luffy said and started crying again,hugging thatch.

"Ahh so he missed his brother" thought thatch.

"Luffy you know nurse nee san said that he is going to wake up very soon, just wait for sometime haan, then you can be with your brother like before."

Luffy nodded still hugging thatch, thatch was stroking luffy's hair softly, until he fell asleep.

"No need to hide Marco, did you forget that i also have observation haki" said thatch with a smug face.

"Alright yoi and i know you have haki and just to let you know I wasn't hiding, i was just standing there yoi". Said Marco rubbing his neck a little.

"Okay okay Marco I get it " thatch said with a teasing smile.

"So the reason he didn't eat his food and was sad because he missed his brother yoi" Marco asked , thatch nodded.

"I hope he wake up soon , seeing him cry or sad makes me sad also" thatch said looking at luffy with soft eyes.

Marco smiled at that. he hope too,that ace would gain his conscious soon.

They both stand there looking at moon, a comfortable silence surrounding them.

After awhile, they bid their byy and went to their own room to sleep but not before tucking luffy in his bed.

Next morning 🌄~

Marco & thatch were sitting near ace's bed inside the infirmary and luffy was sitting on his (ace) bed.

They were taking about their Big family to luffy when thatch said.

"I'm glad you like us and you didn't say anything bad about anyone, specially namur."

Luffy looked towards thatch and asked curiously.

"You thought I'm not going to like you guys and the fish guy" luffy asked cutely tilting his head.

"Ahh too cute" thought thatch. (And Marco too he just act like he don't)

"Luffy, not everyone like whitebeards and alot of people say bad things about us, specially about namur since he is a fishmen and it always made oyaji worried that Their harsh words will hurt us, his childrens and sometimes when oyaji is worried he gets angry." Thatch tried to explain.

"I know" said luffy nodding his head.

Marco and thatch looked towards luffy questionably who was stroking ace's hair , aaahh an adorable sight.

"Ace does that all the time whenever he gets worried about me."said luffy looking at his older brothers face.

"Does he yell at you alot?" Asked Marco.

"Nope not much, ace only get really mad at me if I do something dangerous and scare him, i can tell when he gets sacred and worried. Because that's the only time he cries"

Thatch and Marco exchange a look. Marco asked, now intrested in whole conversation.

"Did something happened with you guys before?" Asked Marco.

Luffy looked at him , nodding his head.

"Yess when I was 7 there was this pirate, his name was jam" said luffy.

"Jam???" That's a weird pirate name thought Marco and thatch.

"So i wasn't telling him where ace had been putting his collected treasure-" thatch cut luffy off with his question.

"Collected treasure,what's that???"

"Oh silly thatchy, ace had been collecting treasure for his pirate ship, so i didn't tell him about the treasure so he tied me up and was hitting me alot. He used Spiked gloves to hit me. He caught me when I ran away from ace because he(ace) was being mean."

Luffy looked at ace with a guilty look.

"After alot of time ace found me and he beat that guy to death and then he took me home and fixed all the cuts, when I was better, he yelled at me alot. He was so angry, it was scary"

Thatch and Marco looked at luffy sternly.

"What do you mean by scary luffy did ace ever hurt you or beat you?" marco asked.

Luffy snapped his head towards Marco.

"WHAT!! No i am not scared of ace , ace would never hurt me. I was just scared because I did something very bad to him , he was crying the whole time he was yelling at me , he was so scared for me. Whole time big tears were coming out of his eyes and then he hugged me and cried alot and ace never cry , because he had hard time with all this emotion thingy."

Marco and thatch looked at eachother. Both of them were angry on that asshole pirate, no wonder ace doesn't seem to trust them.

"Well it was obvious that he would get angry after all a little kid needs protection" said thatch teasingly to lighten up the mood because luffy was looking at ace with a guilty expression and sad eyes.

Luffy looked at thatch with an angry childish pout.

"I'm strong and I'm not that little , you guys are just too old." Thatch gasped at that, dramatically.

He glared at luffy.

"Luffy that's very mean of you im not old" he pointed his fingure to Marco.

"He is old , oyaji is old and even izou is old but me I'm not old, I'm still a young man." Said thatch unaware of someone standing behind them near door.

"Umhh umhh" thatch turned around only to froze in his place izou was standing there with a angry expression, everybody on mobydick know that angry izou is bad news, very very bad news.

"Uhh hii izou what are you doing here" said thatch trying to sound normal and not scared.

Izou glared at him sending shivers down his spine.

"Luffy, the new chef made apple candy and he was calling you, he wanted you to try it" said izou, luffy shouted a "yosh" happily.

"Hey hey luffy don't go wait we will go together" thatch pleaded. Too late luffy already went away and now izou was looking like he is ready to kill him.

"So thatch who is old here?" Asked izou pulling his gun out.

"It...it's me and Marco, yess yess i was telling luffy that me and Marco are very old now" said thatch he know that izou won't actually shoot him, he just don't wanna wear a kimono for whole week and have a cleaning duty for a week.

"Hmm as if I didn't hear you thatch" izou said punching thatch in head. Making his perfect styled hair go bad.

"Izouuu what did you do, my beautiful hairstyle. How dare you" said thatch angrily looking towards him.

Izou just smirked at him. Marco was now standing away from them not wanting to caught up in a fight.

"That's for calling me old" said izou.

"So what haan i called you old because you are old, you old bag." Said thatch angrily.

They started a childish argument.

Marco was their standing looking towards them. Marco sighed

"So childish yoi" thought Marco.

Nobody noticed a certain someone who is finally awake now and looking at them processing his entire existence.

I wanted WB pirates to think that the the reason ace don't trust them is because of that pirate)
