Gaia lays like an inchworm in the sand dunes with her face in the sand. She looks ridiculous. Gaia slips into Mahd Wy'ry. Her eyes go white and she shakes violently for a few minutes, her mind attempting to not slip. Gaia gasps in her sleep and slips fully into mad weary.

Centuries ago in a different lifetime-

Staring at the sand under my feet I shake my head dizzily. I reach forward blinking away the blurriness. I see the bright sun and the beautiful landscape in front of me. I step into the forests looking around at my surroundings. My hands skim over the dewed bushes close by.

I step towards the visible smoke shown. I hear loud laughing and I see the other Eternals seated there. Kingo shouts "We were just wondering where our little flashlight went!" I smile and say "Had to use the ladies room." Sprite smiles and says "You look so pretty, Gaia."

I spin for them and say "Why thank you Sprite. I like the red on you. You look gorgeous."

She smiles to me and I blow her a kiss as I look around for him. Sersi says "He's out by the cliff." I look to them as I chew on the side of my lip, "Who?" Kingo says "We can tell you're looking for lover boy." I scoff and say "I don't know what on earth you're talking about." Sprite says "A certain mind controller that you have the hots for." I bite down on my quickly forming grin. Makkari signs "I'd prefer that she goes soon before he comes looking for her. I don't need to see all that macking of the lips and tongue. I'd prefer keeping my dinner down."

I shake my head and say "You all need to get a life." Kingo jokes "Why should we? We'll just continue on living vicariously through you!"

I groan and walk away. I approach the cliff and see Druig sitting on a rock looking at the huge waves crash over the tall rocks in the water below us. I slowly and quietly approach him. I loop my arms around the front of him and rest my chin on his head. My hair falls down into his face and he says with a raspy accent "Gaia."

I kiss the top of his head and rub my hands down his chest. He rests his hands on my forearms and says "Coconut." I lean my head over his shoulder and look to him. He grabs a strand of my hair and wiggles it around in my face. He laughs and says "Coconut." I laugh and say "You just repeating coconut is not gonna make any sense until you tell me what coconut stands for Dee."

He tilts towards me and looks up at me. He grabs the sides of my hair and smushes it to my face. I laugh and he says "You don't smell the coconut in your hair?"

"Oh!"

He drops most of my hair and I give an amused grin. He makes one wavy piece of hair bounce back into my face. I bat his hands down and grab the sides of his face. "Stop."

He flings more of my hair in my face and I laugh. He laughs and says "What? What's so funny?" I toss my head back and he narrows his eyes at me and gives me an amused grin. I sit down on his lap and he says "Oi. Your hair is smacking me in the face."

I grab my hair and slide it to the side. I lean my back against him and rest my head on the side of his. He says "The waves are big today." I nod and say "They make me almost want to go swimming in them."

He shakes his head and says "You'd drown."

"I would not."

He shrugs and says "Ehhhh..."

I swat his shoulder and say "I would not!"

He laughs and says "You always get so defensive my love." My heart flutters and I loop my arms around him. He presses a kiss to my forehead and says "We should go get back to the-"

I lean into him, pushing his back against the rock we were sitting on. I hover above him and he stares at me with sparkles in his eyes I swear. Druig grabs at my hips and pulls me down to him. I smile and kiss him. I chuckle and he pulls away confused.

"Why are you laughing?"

"Because we're gonna go swimming."

"Wh-"

I cling to him and fly up with him. "Put me down Gaia!"

I smile and say "You'd die from this drop."

I plop us into the water and he splashes me with water. He shivers and says "That was so unnecessary!" I swim towards him and say "Was it?" I loop my arms around him and then my legs around his hips. I lean in and kiss his lips. Letting the taste of my chapstick linger on Druig's lips. A wave engorfs us and we kiss under the water letting it splash over us for a few minutes until our lungs burn.

We float to the surface and he says "You're lucky I don't get one of those fishers over there to throw their fish and bait at you." I smile and hold his cheeks. I narrow my eyes to him and say "You wouldn't because you adore me far too much." He irks an eyebrow and says "Now, do I? Who told you that?" I pecker his jawline with delicate marks and say "You. You did this morning. Last night. I believe your exact words were, and I quote... Gaia I will love you until the sky comes falling down on us."

He rolls his eyes and says "I don't remember saying that... but I do remember you wearing less clothes." I scoff and say "How scandalous of you Dee." He smirks and says "You were the one with far less clothes on than I." I push him and he pulls me back to him. He says slightly annoyed "Warm me up."

I make a scrunched up face and act like I'm debating. "Hmmmmmm.... why should I?" He runs his hands down my shoulders and down my sides. His hands rub up and down my hips and he says "Because none of the other Eternals are around and I can do anything you'd like, as long as we get out of this freezing water!"

I push myself off of him and dive under the water to swim to the cave farther off the shore. Druig groans loudly and says "The shit she makes me do."

He swims after me and finds me standing on the rocks twirling around. He props himself up on the rocks leaving his elbows on the rocks propping his chin up to watch me. I slip and laugh. He shakes his head "You hurt yourself didn't you?"

"No.."

"Liar."

I smile and say "Even without reading my thoughts you know when I lie. You cheeky little thing."

I stand up and say "It's only a scrape on the elbow. We do have a whole team thinking we probably drowned so we should go."

"They wouldn't know what to do without us. The token couple of the group."

I shrug and say "Maybe Kingo and Sersi will date."

We both laugh loudly and I extend a hand to him. He pulls me back into the water and I squeal as I head first dive into the water. I reach the surface and say "You earned yourself a swim back to the group.."

"Hey. No. No. Gaia-"

I smile and he grabs my wrist. I slip out of his grasp and swim away smiling. I wave my hand and he says "I'll make Kingo sing for hours on end if you leave me here."

"No. No. No. No."

He nods and says "I have leverage here too."

I throw my dress at him and he freezes. His anger disipates immediately and says "And I'm the cheeky little thing? You will be the death of me." I nod and say "I don't doubt that."

a/n: Hi guys! Remember this is a flashback chapter to a previous lifetime and relationship of Druig and Gaia. I love this chapter but it may be boring to a few of you. But! I hope you enjoyed it.
