Ikaris looks to Sprite who angrily glares at the back of his head. "I did what I had to do Sprite. She was going to hurt the others if I didn't do something."

Sprite shakes her head and says "The illusion was working. She might have remembered everything if you didn't step in when you did."

He sighs and I stir. I look around confused and mutter "You guys just fucking kidnapped me."

Kingo laughs and Karun says "That's a first."

Ikaris says "We didn't kidnap you. Quit being dramatic."

I scoff and sit up. "Well, It sure as hell looks like it. I know karate. I can go full on kung fu panda on your ass,"

I narrow my eyes at him and do the I'm watching you eyes. I continue talking "So you guys are what lab rats or something? How'd you shoot lasers from your eyes tough guy?"

I look to Ikaris and he says "You don't remember shooting cosmic energy through your hands?"

I shake my head and say "So, did you drug me or something? I've never done ecstasy before. Is that what I'm on? Am I on drugs? Oh my god Sarah had this on her bucket list. If I did this without her she's going to make me go sky diving with her. You so kidnapped and drugged me. She can't blame me for having drugs in my system if you forced me to take them.. My friends a lawyer she'll sue you. Sarah will come after you...I know loads of people and-"

Kingo laughs loudly at his phone and says "Your hot friend just texted me!"

I look to him and say "What?"

"I gave her my number."

"She just let you take me!?" I say pissed off.

Sprite sets a bottle of tequila down on the table infront of me and I look up to meet her eyes. She grins and I nod "I already like you."

She pours and we start drinking. I say "Wait. How old are you?" She huffs and says "Too old for you to ask me that question."

I narrow my eyes at her and say "Okay. But if you're playing me we blame laser pointer over there." I nod my head towards Ikaris and she laughs.

"You always think of the best nicknames."

And eventually the drinking leads to us controlling the lights on the jet and the music.
    
    

ABBA plays throughout the speakers of the plane, dancing queen playing loudly and I pull Sprite up from her seat spinning around and dancing to the music while the others sleep.

She grabs the microphone and sings "You are the dancing queeeeeennnnn!!! Youunnggg and sweeett!! Oooonlly seventeen, ohhh yeaah."

I laugh at her singing and she smiles to me briefly before continuing on with the chorus.

Sersi smiles at our dancing and goofing off. Just like old times. Apparently Kingo and Karun can sleep through our drunken states. Private concerts and all.

I point at Sprite and sing "Dancing queeennnn!" I smile and tilt the bottle back laughing. I poke Sprite's cheek and say "You're so pretty." She looks to me and says "You've surely had too much tequila."

I fumble and fall onto the ground. I go into a fit of giggles.

Sprite says "Maya!"

I give her a thumbs up while I hold the bottle up in my hand. "All good!"

She goes into a fit of giggles and I say "The ground is so comfortable."

I yank her ankle and she falls on to the ground beside me. With a huff, she blows the stray hair out of her face

She and I go into a fit of giggles as we drink.

I sigh loudly and Sprite says "We're going to see some old friends of ours."

"They aren't my friends are they? Who was I Sprite? Did you know there's a soda named Sprite? Personally I think orange sodas better no offense. Is that offensive? Because Sprite's delicious too. That's offensive right. Did you know one of my friends is named Bear? Yeah. They're odd. But that's their name."

Sprite laughs at my comment and says "First of all, not offensive. I was named Sprite before they created that soda. And no I didn't know you were friends with someone named bear. And on the other questions you asked, you were our happy ball of sunshine and spunk. You were friends with everyone on the team. You love and care about everyone you meet. The people we are finding in Australia, they were your friends. Your close friends, but now that you don't remember we won't force any friendship with them on you."

I look to her and laugh. "I'm so funny. I make myself laugh like all the time. I don't believe you very much. It sounds weird and impossible! I think I had some bad bad, very bad drugs shot into my arm or I'm just losing my mind and going nuts.... Say I really am like a thousand years old, wait, what's my name again?"

I giggle and she says "Gaia."

"And how do you pronounce that? GAYY-AAHH?"

"No. No. Not like that."

I laugh and say "I thought I was gay in college. I almost dated a girl once. She was pretty. I definitely gave her a smooch."

Sprite ignores my yammering on and says "It's pronounced guuuuuyyyy uh. Haven't you read the legends of Gaia? Or is this version of you stupid?"

I chuckle and say "A little bit of both!"

She shakes her head and says "It's good to have you back at least a little bit. Even if you aren't the Gaia I remember."

I smile and say "It's nice to meet you. I already know we were close."

Sersi says "You two were like sisters and Makkari too. You three were such a trio. Always entertaining everyone."

My face contorts to confusion and I say "Who's Makkari?"

Sersi says "Um, you know how when twins are born they're attached to each other? Closer bond than any other couple or sibling?"

I shrug and Sersi says "You two were even closer."

I shake my head and say "And you guys are sure you didn't grab the wrong person? Because I've been best friends with Sarah since I was a baby."

Sprite sighs and says "I wonder if Druig can get her memories back."

I feel my chest compress tightly and I feel the bottle drop from my hands. Sersi says "Gaia? Gaia are you alright?"

I gulp and say "Who is that man? Who is the man she's talking about? Describe him to me."

Sprite says "He is sarcastic, annoying, bitter, and closed off... to everyone but you. He's the complete opposite with you."

I nod and say "What does he look like?"

She casts an illusion and I look up at it as we lay on the ground beside each other.
     
     

My eyes widen and I sit up to a seated position now reaching for my bag. I dig through it and pull my notebook out. I flip through the pages and Sersi says "What are you doing Gaia?"

"I told you it's Maya!"

"Sorry. It's a habit, Maya."

I drink out of the bottle of tequila and Ikaris says "That's so not sanitary."

"What's not sanitary is me kicking my foot up your ass if you don't shut up knock off superman." I spat back to him. He shakes his head and says "God I almost forgot how annoying you were."

I smile and say dismissively "Go to sleep bud."

He looks at me annoyed and walks away. I look to Sprite who's asleep and Sersi says "Looks like you tired her out."

I look down to the notebook and she says "What do you have there?"

I look to the sketch of the man Sprite showed me in the illusion. The one I've been seeing in dreams and my imagination. I thought I just made him up in my head.

I hand her the notebook and I hear the sound of her fingers rubbing against the page as she flips the page. My skin crawls as I hear her finger nails slide against the thick paper.

She flips the page and says "So, your subconscious mind knows of them. This man you're sketching is Druig. A very happy and vivid Druig. Then the woman, with her hair down, that's Makkari. Your best friend."

I nod and smile "Haha. So I'm not a pile of mush then. Ha!"

I flop back down and she says "You're a pretty good artist Maya..." She looks down at me, I'm just now asleep on Sprite's blanket that's rested over her legs.

She shakes her head and says "Some things will never change."

The plane lands and Karun grabs Kingo his bagel from the toaster and applies cream cheese on it for the prima donna kingo.

Kingo says "Apparently they had a long night."

Everyone looks down to us asleep on the floor. Sersi shakes her head and says "I doubt they'll be awake any time soon."

Kingo smiles and says "I'll carry Sprite. Ikaris you can carry the heavier one."

Ikaris sighs and lifts Gaia off of Sprite's legs and Kingo dangles a bagel in front of Sprite's nose. She groans and ends up slapping Kingo in the face.

He gasps and Sersi laughs and attempts to hide her reaction to it.

Sprite's eyes open and kingo says "We're here. Get up."

She groans and Karun pulls her to her feet. She slides her sunglasses on and follows the group out

The big group walked through the deserts of Australia. It's beautiful, or at least I would've thought so if I wasn't passed out. They navigate through the desert trying to find Thena and Gilgamesh.

Ikaris walked in the lead with Gaia draped over his shoulder. Arms dangling down with her head over his shoulder.

Ikaris came to a halt when he saw the dead deviant on the ground. Everyone catches up to his stopped figure and looked to the body of a dead Deviant.

Kingo says "Is this the deviant you fought in London? Because it doesn't look like the one we fought in New York."

"No, it appears there are more then we thought."

Karun looks to the dead deviant body and says "It this a Deviant, sir?" He leaned towards the body getting the details of its face and wounds.

Karun says "It's a beautiful creature!"

"What? This?" Kingo questioned, giving his valet a look. "No, it's disgusting, you've never had one try to kill you! Alright, roll the cam!"

Kingo scoffs and says "This deviant is beautiful? Have you seen me in shadow warriors 2? Now that's a beautiful creature!"

Sprite shakes her head and says "Did you just refer to yourself as a creature?"

"Why yes I did. A very beautiful creature. Far more beautiful than this deviant."

Sprite shakes her head and says "You're so annoying." Kingo continues to dramatically narrate everything that happens around him.

The group approaches a house in the absolute middle of nowhere, Australia and Ikaris knocked on the door.

Sprite chuckled as Gilgamesh opened the door. He wore a apron that said Kiss the cook

Kingo tilted his head and smiled. Ikaris and Sersi did a slight wave to him.

He grumbles and says "What took you so long?"

He looked at the group. Quickly seeing Ikaris holding my sleeping body. "What happened to Gaia?"

Sersi says "She doesn't remember any of us and she drank too much last night. She's asleep."

He nods and says "Just set her down on the sand. Let's catch up and I'll take you to Thena."

After the others tell Gilgamesh the news of Ajak, which he took pretty devastatingly. As one would expect. His calm figure slouching sadly and a prominent frown settling in on his expressions. The pie in his skillet dropping out of the pan and splatting against the ground.

He nodded to everyone and led the group to a tree near the house where Thena sat, creating paintings with pastels. Weird and disturbing visuals she was scribbling on about.

Thena quickly whipped around creating a cosmic sword ready to kill, Gilgamesh quickly stopped her extending his fist towards her and holding the weapon steadily away from harming him.

"The attack triggered her. She had another slip after it, she's not fun to be around right now," he looks back to thena and says calmly but in a louder tone "Hey Thena, look who's here. Give me your hand."

Thena swung her sword at Gil attempting to take down the enemy once again, she begins shouting orders "Everyone in sector 6 is going to die!"

    
            
Gil says barely loud enough for the group to hear "Give me your hand."

Thena cries out "It's too late. We can't save them."

Sprite raised her hands, creating an illusion that everyone was back in the ship. Sprite steps forward into the illusion with thena, telling her calming and grounding words of encouragement "Thena, we came to Earth together on our ship. You're an Eternal, the greatest warrior of Olympia, the legendary protector of Athens, the Goddess of War,"

Sprite continuing to add details to her illusions while Thena stared at them in pure awe, Sprite repeats to her "Remember who you are."

Thena looses the cosmic sword and takes Gil's extended hand willingly. Now more under control she looks to the group. "Hi." Kingo waved and Sersi smiled.

"Hello." Thena responded to them looking at each and every one of them.

Kingo looks around at all the sand and says "Hey, who's your gardener, Gilgamesh?" Everyone in the group gives him and unamused look and Karun says "Very funny joke sir."

Sprite scoffs and says "If your paid help needs to tell you it's funny, it isn't funny."

They approach the house and Thena sees Gaia in the sand unconscious. Her walking pace nearly turns into a run. She jogs over slouching beside Gaia.

She looks to the others saying "What happened? Did a deviant get to her?" Her lip quivers and she swipes the dark hair out of my face. Her hand resting on my cheek. Her thumb slowly grazing the cut I have on my cheek.

Sersi says "Gaia was attacked by a deviant last night," Gil interrupts "Wait. You didn't tell me that! You just said she drank too much!"

Thena says "Is she okay?"

Ikaris says "She's just sleeping. Her wounds are wrapped and healing. She'll be awake soon..."

Thena mutters "Thank god."

Gil says warily "Thena... she won't be our Gaia once she wakes up.. she apparently doesn't remember anyone."

"What? That's ridiculous."

Sprite nods and says "I think Ajak erased her memories."

Thena's face falls and she says "Well, I'm about to dump water on her. Any objections?"

Nooo I was having such a nice dream.

It was the man again. He told me he loved me. That I should come home. I was just about to come home.

I gasp for air as the cold water drops down my face. I squeal and shout "Bitch!"

Thena smiles and says "Good you're awake." I push her forehead away from me and grumble "I could have drowned!"

Gil laughs and says "Yes, you most definitely could have drowned from a glass of water being dumped on you."

I narrow my eyes at them and Sprite says "Gaia... or Maya.. meet Thena and Gilgamesh."

I nod and say "You're tough loving me aren't you?"

Gil says "Just come inside and eat. I have food cooking."

Thena sat at the end of the table, I sat beside her, not by choice. I have to just put that out there. Gil and Sprite pushed me into a seat. Sprite sits on my left as I stare at the food in front of me. Man this guys a chef.

He and I will get along nicely. God my mouth is already watering at the array of foods. I wonder if his wounds on his arm are from the deviant or from Thena? He should probably apply some gauze to it or something

Kingo scoops food onto his bowl and passes the large serving plate to Sersi. Kingo says "Is this what you guys eat everyday?"

Gilgamesh nodded and Thena smiled and nodded. I shove food in my mouth mmm'ing at the taste.

I say with my mouth full of food "I want to live here. I'm moving in. Oh my god."

Gil and Thena smile and the others laugh as Sprite makes an illusion around me. My outfit changes to a dog costume. I grumble and push Sprite out of her chair. She laughs and the others shake their heads at my original personality shining through.

Gil asks me "You want some more of that drink?"

I chug the alcohol "I mean, the best way to get over a hangover is the hair of the dog isn't it?"

Ikaris shakes his head and says "Yeah, no. We're going to cut Gaia off. I don't feel the need to get her drunk again. Especially when I'm the one that has to lug her heavy body around."

I chuck a roll at his face and it bounces off his jaw. He scoffs and turns towards me slowly. I raise both my hands flipping him off. "Yeah well, screw you too old man."

              
"Yeah, cut Gaia off the booze." Kingo mutters as he finishes his drink and continues talking "But, you can get me some more if you don't mind!"

Gil pours beer into his cup and I say "You make this too?"

He nods and says "From my saliva actually."

I start dry heaving and Sprite says "EW! Go away! Gross!"

Kingo drops his glass and says "Yeah I'm done drinking that."

I make gagging noises as I aggressively run a cloth napkin up and down my tongue. The others laugh at me and I shake my head muttering all muffledly "You... buuys stuck..."

Gil teases Sprite about something while I clean the saliva drink off my tongue. Gilgamesh's body now is covered in a baby costume and I go into a fit of giggles. Dropping the napkin. Thena laughs and I smile to her

"Oh, I'm a big baby, very funny. Real mature Sprite."

Thena laughed at Gil's outfit and even though Gilgamesh put up the facade that the outfit bothered him, he loved to see Thena's happy smile. Even if it was at his expense

Sprite waved her hand, making the illusion disappear. I munch on my food and look at everyone around the table, it's really weird that I'm supposed to know these people. Sprite says "So now that Captain Rogers and Iron-Man are gone, who do you think is gonna lead the Avengers?"

I smile and say "I don't know but I hope we get to see the Bucky Barnes in action more. That man is too fine to not be on camera."

Kingo's chicken wing drops from his hand and clatters against the plate loudly. Sersi and Ikaris clear their throats and Gil and Sprite look down at their hands.

"What? Did I hit a nerve or something?"

Thena says "They think it's odd you'd be with someone other than Druig."

I nod and go along with what their saying, still confused beyond belief. I don't like this feeling. Like I'll always be left out of something. That I'll never know what is truly happening. This cold emptiness inside of me where apparently the real Gaia used to be.

I don't like dissapointing people and it seems every time I meet someone new these days that's all I seem to do.

Ikaris clears his throat, bringing the subject back to Sprite's question "I could lead them."

Gil chuckles and says "Ajak didn't even choose you to lead us."

Ikaris touches his heart and says "Ouch."

Ikaris looked at him and Gilgamesh patted his shoulder. "Damn that kind of hurt, Gil."

I laugh and Sersi drops her fork abruptly leaving the table. I watch her leave, my eyebrows knitting together in confusion.

My stomach is still feeling icky just at the thought of drinking someones saliva beer.

Gross.

a/n: Sooo this is a long chapter for you guys! Took some time to finish this and also my moment of panic when I nearly had a heart attack earlier, my computer deleted my wattpad app and I redownloaded it and once I logged in, it showed me I had nothing in drafts and published. I had no notifications and all my reading lists and basically everything on my wattpad was gone!! When I tell you my heart stopped it did. 47 works are on my wattpad account, like 5 published but STILL. SO, Another chapter for the book! They've found Gil and Thena! Should be an interesting next chapter! Lot's and lot's of Druig and Gaia once again!

I don't want this book to end but I feel like it's approaching :( lol not soon but we're getting there slowly but surely. I'm so glad you all have given this story so much love, it means the world to me. I am thinking of making another Druig story but I've gotta think of a plot in my head but I'm sure it'll come to me! Only once this ones finished though and my Kate Bishop story. I do have like an emotional attachement to this story now though, Gaia is like my personality and attributes rolled into a marvel character. Her relationship with each of the eternals is my favorite. I feel like she has strong rooted relationships with every character. Or hatred. cough, cough, ikaris. Anyway, thoughts on the chapter? Opinions?
