Unknown Place

Irys pov: I woke up to the sound of Kobo and Clara yelling, and I sat up quickly in bed, immediately feeling a sharp pain all over.

"You're awake, Auntie?" Clara said

"Yeah, I am, but where's Calli?" I asked while trying to stand, but I was in too much pain, and if I tried to stand, I was sure I was going to collapse.

"She wasn't with us," Clara explained.

"Where is my mother?" I asked

"In the other bedroom," Clara said.

"Hmm?" I said while looking around this room that something seemed oddly familiar as if I'd been here before, but I couldn't put my finger on it.

An orange-haired girl entered the room and looked at me. Her face lit up with relief. "Irys is awake!" She called out

A few seconds later, Kanata came running in and hugged me, saying, "I was so worried!" She cried

"M-mom...." I said I was confused, then I realized I was in my old room.

"So Kanata care to explain this?" The orange-haired woman said

"Explain what?" Kanata asked.

"Your daughter is the Nephilim," the orange-haired woman said.

"Look, Coco, Towa, and I went through the process and made her." Kanata said

"I gathered that," Coco sighed.

"Is it okay if I call you Coco-senpai?" I asked

"Yeah, why not?" Coco-senpai said

"So how is mom?" I asked

"Oh, she's doing fine...." Kanata said somberly

"Damn it...." I groaned. I looked at the nightstand beside me, and I saw Calli's severed arm.

"Holy shit...." I stated while remembering what had happened.

I felt sick seeing the arm, but I knew Calli could regenerate, so this arm was just a lost body part that didn't matter, but still, it was horrifying to see.

"Holy shit!" Kobo said loudly, copying me.

"No!" I hissed at the girl since she copied my words.

"Can you say motherfucker?" Coco-Senpai asked Kobo

"Motherfucker?" Kobo said that copying her

"Stop! "Callie is literally going to skin me!" I yelled

"Who's that?" Kanata asked

"Oh, my friend, Sister, well, she's the parent of these little ones anyway," I said.

"It's a good thing you're making friends," Kanata said.

"Yeah, I really missed you, by the way," I said.

"I did too." "You are honestly lucky I was sent out to intercept you, or you would have been destroyed." Kanata sighed.

"I wish the angel and devil war would end," I said.

"Me to," Kanata said, "but that won't happen as long as neither side wants to yield and make amends."

That honestly upset me since I just wanted both my mothers to be happy, but I know that won't happen as long as the war keeps raging on. This was annoying to see, but I don't know how to help.

"I need to go and save Calli and the rest...." I panted

"What about Auntie Bae?" Clara asked

"What about her?" I asked

"Well, don't you love her, so why is she an afterthought?" Clara asked

"Uhhh...." I didn't know how to answer, "You see, Bae is kind of..." I needed to think of something quick. "Bae is resourceful," I said, hoping that would do, and it did.

"You aren't going anywhere...." Kanata sternly told me

"But the others will get hurt, or maybe they're already captured!" I said

"You go out there, especially in your condition, and you'll become an afterthought, so don't you dare!" Kanata yelled

She was looking out for my best interest. I understood that, but I didn't really like it in this instance.

"Fine, I'll stay," I said.

"So why were you falling by the way?" Kanata asked

"I have no idea; one moment we were in the underworld, the next we were falling," I said.

"Sounds like your realm shifted," Kanata said.

"What?" I said.

"You changed realms somehow," Kanata explained.

I had a thought. I didn't know how that was possible at all. I didn't get it at all, but I needed to understand it because this seemed important.

"What do you know about realms?" I asked

"Not really," Kanata said.

"Well, how much do you know?" I asked

"People in higher power can lose track of their power and somehow open rifts in time and space," Kanata said.

I suddenly had the thought that we somehow lost track of our power and someone was off balance, and it probably was Bae since she gained some power back but not enough to maintain balance.

"Wait, let's say those people." higher in power could somehow make balance come about, could they open another rift?" I asked

"Potentially," Kanata said

"Then I need to find Bae!" I said

"Hold your horses, you aren't moving anywhere...." Kanata growled

"B-but!" I said she shook her head in disapproval.

"Don't throw your buts at me, and listen, I can't let you put yourself in so much danger. You are too injured. You have over twenty puncture wounds, and some of your bones are going to break," Kanata said.

"Is there a faster way I can heal?" I asked

"Not that I know of..." Kanata stated, but I knew that was a lie.

"Don't hide that from me; I need to save my wife and my friends!" I said

"W-wife?" Kanata said in shock

"Yes, Bae is my wife. I would hate myself if I let her get hurt!" I said I admitted she was my wife.

"Okay, I'll let you go...." Kanata said

She rummaged around in a drawer and pulled out some elixir.

"Drink this," she said. I nodded and did as told, but I didn't feel any different. I didn't get it whatsoever. Why did she need me to drink it?

"That'll heal you faster, but later you will be in a comatose state for who knows how long," Kanata said.

"Don't worry about it, I won't be negatively affected," I said.

"Everyone that has drank it has suffered it, so who knows," Kanata said.

"Look, I need to at least try this," I said as I waited for myself to be healed.
