Kureiji Olivia

Ollie pov: I stood there watching Reine break down again. She had made a phone call to inform people about the news, but she was a mess. I wondered if this was how Aniki felt when I perished all those years ago. I sighed before putting her into a tight embrace. "Reine, calm down." I told her. She pushed me off of her. I could tell she didn't want to talk to anyone right now.

"I don't believe it Mumei wouldn't just die" Moona said she looked at Anya and I and sighed, "we have to get out of here." She groaned, wondering how bad the security was going to be trying to exit. Kaela got our attention, telling us not to leave just yet; we have to wait for someone.

"Olivia, you are wanted here too, you know," Kaela said, and my eyes widened at that sound of that name. "Who are you?" I asked the girl, who looked like she was laughing but no sound came out. "I'm just a girl dating someone really talented," she said. I had no idea what that meant and I was upset about it.

"I know everything about you Olivia, about how you burned in a fire and how your home was turned into a ramen shop," Kaela said. I really wanted to shut her up.

"Look, I'm Kureiji Ollie. Oliva is someone from the past!" I yelled. I looked down at Reine and began to comfort her again. She kept trying to get away from me but I held her tighter. I wouldn't let go even if she tore me limb from limb. I glared at Kaela, who was definitely behind this. She knew something about this. She was suspicious to say the least. She seemed strong though, so fighting her would be bad.

"Oliva, cut the bullshit, you know who you are." Kaela said Reine finally managed to push me away and glared at the yellow-haired girl. "You're an imperial, aren't you?"Reine growled. Kaela did another silent laugh before shaking her head.

"No, I'm just a freelancer trying to get by," she told us. I didn't totally believe her, but this location of this smithery couldn't be cheap. She needed money by any means necessary, even if the means of getting it wasn't just her. She had to pay the bills somehow.

"Do you trust her?" I asked Reine, who nodded immediately. "If she was our enemy, I would have been turned in by now." she said. I agreed with that, but she could be keeping us here until the authorities came to capture her.

"Mumei is still alive, I know it," she said, exhaling slightly. I didn't understand where this confidence came from just two seconds before. She was bawling her eyes out and now she was saying there's no way Mumei was dead. "Call it sister intuition," she said, smiling gently at me.

"A sister's intuition, you say?" I groaned. I didn't believe I'm stuff like that, but Reine seemed to, so I decided not to judge. Her optimism was cute. She genuinely had faith that her sister was alive. I was skeptical, but I guess if I wanted Reine to fall in love with me, I would need to start trusting her more. She shifted into bird form, telling Anya she wanted to sleep next to her. She walked up, nuzzling the brown-haired girl gently, closing her eyes slowly.

Just as she fell asleep, the grey-haired girl entered, waving to the yellow-haired girl. She looked at the sleeping peafowl, shaking her head. "This is the one person that needed to be awake for this." She sighed. "Oh well." She continued telling us she would have to tell us what happened.
She finished telling us her story by asking us if we trusted her.

I looked at Anya and Moona, who seemed to trust the story somewhat. However, there were some holes in the story. "What do you gain from this?" Moona asked Zeta, who immediately answered, telling us she needed money.

I was tempted to wake up Reine and tell her about this to see her view on this, but I knew she would cling onto these words. Reine is too close to Mumei and her vision would be skewered on this:

"If you are lying, I will kill you." Anya calmly stated She smiled, telling us she was looking forward to that. I could tell she enjoys fighting a lot and she was definitely well trained, but she avoided any questions about her profession because she was definitely hiding something from us and we didn't know what it was.

"Olivia, you should trust people more. I have no reason to lie to you." Zeta said, but that made me trust her less. She definitely was trying to get on our good side to betray us. She gave us random coordinates to somewhere with no explanation as to what they meant. She said that's where Mumei was buried, but what would she gain from giving us that info?

As I knew, Mumei and Reine had bounties on their heads so they could make a quick buck by capturing them for the empire. I couldn't trust Zeta at all. She was just too sketchy to be a friend.

"Ollie, we should trust her for now." Moona-senpai said I reluctantly agreed, but I still didn't want to believe this. It was too good to be true. She was just feeding us what we wanted to hear.

Zeta went over to Kaela, gently kissing her forehead. I noticed she had to get on her tip toes just to reach that high. She didn't seem that menacing. Maybe she truly wanted money to live a quiet life with her girlfriend. Then again, she was hiding a ton from us.

"Do you really want to live a quiet life?" I asked Zeta, who nodded and stared at me. "Oliva, I am living the life you always wanted," she said, making me reflect on the past.

These two somehow knew everything about me from the days when I was living.
