Gathering Files

Zeta pov: I decided that I wanted to look around the Holox base. I looked back at Mumei-senpai and motioned to her that I was leaving.

She could read my mind, but using hand signs, I messaged her to signal back and not get noticed before I thought those words.

She wished me good luck, and I smiled back, thinking that she would keep Ela busy for me. She nodded and began to talk to her to keep her mind off of me.

"What's around here?" I asked as I noticed the text on the wall that Momei briefly mentioned.

"The boundary?" I said I was confused. I've never heard of such a thing.

What is the boundary? I think Mumei had told me it was somewhat familiar to her somehow.

If Mumei was aware of what it was, that couldn't be good; she knows what a lot of shady things are.

It's not that I want to doubt her; however, she knows more than she lets on, and I definitely know her. She doesn't open herself up to many people, which is why I'm shocked at how

Mumei may have wanted me to see this; she seems to always want to test me.

I thought about it and need to talk to her about it later.

"What are you doing here?" A woman with horns asked

"Oh, you're part of the secret society too?" I asked

"Yes, and what of it?" The woman asked

"I need you..." I said as I dashed behind her and got her on a hold.

"What's your name?" I asked

"L-laplus Darkness!" Laplus said

"Alright, Laplus, go forward," I demanded as I led the girl to one of the doors and made her do the face recognition.

The machine began to scan Lapis, and the light became green. "Welcome Leader...." it said as the door opened.

"Go in...." I said

She nodded and went in on the order. I followed, noticing her plan to dash for the controls and lock me in there. As soon as she began to run, I showed her it was futile by beating her there.

"You can't be human!" Laplus yelled

"That would be correct." I said, "Well, it's complicated."

"I can't escape, can I?" Laplus asked

"Nope, but you can try." "I'll just catch up though." I laughed. She sighed and sat down in defeat.

"What do you need?" She asked

"Access to your main frame," I said.

"Why?" Laplus asked.

I sighed. "I need access to some files."

"What for?" Laplus asked

"Project 7...." I said

"How do you know about that!?" Laplus asked

"Oh, because I'm V7...." I said

Laplus's eyes widened at that reveal: "What do you need?" She began to comply, but not out of fear.

"I didn't know V7 still existed," she said.

"Please don't call me that; my name is Vestia Zeta," I said.

"Alright, Vestia," Laplus said.

"Okay, call me Zeta...." I sighed

"Okie Zeta!" Laplus stated while saluting me

"What the hell...?" I sighed

I wasn't about to question her. I just needed to get to the computer and hack into the mainframe. I needed to know more about my modifications, and I needed to shut down the projects. I needed to know why this sick son of a bitch decided to start experiments such as this.

I didn't think it was too bad, but there is no way that I can let them keep going and modifying people. My parents were part of my modifications, but they didn't know what happened to me for the most part. That's why I don't blame them, but the system.

I found the computer, which was also behind a face recognition lock. I had Lapse deactivate it, and then the password system popped up.

I sighed, and I immediately hacked into it, sticking a USB chip into the computer so I could download some stuff as soon as I got in.

I went over to the files and saved some stuff onto the drive, then I saw something interesting: they were looking into voyaging into the boundary.

"Tell me everything you know about the boundary," I said.

Laplus looked at me and sighed, "Okay." She said

"The boundary is a concept, or more like a dimension, a place where space and time don't exist. We don't know why it is a thing, but all we know is that it's a dangerous and mysterious place where the gods lie," Laplus explained.

"Interesting...." I said, "What else do you know?" I asked

"I don't know much, but I know that only certain people can read the text written by the inhabitants for some reason," Laplus said.

"Do you know how Nanashi Mumei is related to it?" I asked

"No, I don't think that's Lui-nee's sister right?" Laplus asked

"That is correct," I stated. "She's a goddess," I said.

"Can she read the text?" Laplus asked

"Yes, she can," I said.

"Lui-nee can too," Laplus said.

"Hmm...." I was intrigued by this, but I had no time to get distracted.

I came here for something else and not the boundary; however, then I got the idea that maybe I should give Mumei info as a late birthday gift, so I downloaded some of the files about it.

"Are any of these files confidential?" I asked

"Not really, since you are the almighty V7," Laplus said.

"You are pretty much treating me like a goddess, why?" I asked

"You don't know why you were modified as you were." Laplus asked

"No," I said.

"Look at the files and read up on it," Laplus said.

I nodded and immediately opened up one of the V7 files. The first thing I read was "godslayer."

"What the fuck...." I said.

I realized that I was given power to rival even the gods. I was stronger than I thought, and then again, when Omega showed up, I was a threat, so she had to get rid of me.

Maybe I was a bigger deal than I thought.
