Lola woke up feeling tired and dead inside. She had really started to believe the stuff that had come out of Chris' mouth. Maybe it was because she liked the idea of her mother being alive.

She finally got herself out of bed and got herself ready in the bathroom.

When she was done she woke up her cousin by knocking loudly.

"Dang. Chill out. You ain't the damn police" she aid swinging her door wide open.

"Next time I'll let you be late then" Lola shrugged walking back into her room.

When she had finished breakfast she waited on Shamika by the front door and scrolled through her feed on instagram. On her explore page she noticed a picture of Michael and Jay from the party. She rolled her eyes mentally. She ain't got a problem with the girl, just the fact that Michael ditched her for her.

"I'm ready, let's go" Shamika stated walking out the door first.

As they began walking to their bus stop, they heard a beep coming from behind them.

"Keep walking, niggas be thirsty these days" Shamika rolled her eyes and linked arms with her cousin so she wouldn't turn.

"How would you know?" Lola scoffed.

"Bitch- you ain't seen my ass or something?" She laughed walking with a bump so that her hips would sway more. But it was true, Shamika had a fatty.

Lola laughed and kept it moving until the car pulled up and rolled its windows down

"So you not talking to me or something?" Darius asked.

"Oh, I didn't know it was you." Lola smiled walking to the car. "Don't you live on the other side of town?"

"I circled the block looking for your house. They all look the same and when I dropped you off it was dark" he shrugged. "I was gonna offer to take you to school"

"Damn, you really got niggas taking you to school. I don't know how you do it" Shamika said opening the back door.

"Shamika watchu doing?" Lola gasped.

"You not getting in?" She asked pouting with her bottom lip.

"It's ok" Darius chuckled looking back at Shamika. "So you coming?" He asked looking at Lola.

"My name's Shamika" Shamika introduced herself pausing the music playing on her earphones.

"I'm Darius" Darius said as he drove.

"Are you on the basketball team?" Shamika asked.

"Yeh"

"Do you know Emmanuel?" She asked.

"Why'd you care about Emmanuel?" Lola asked. She wasn't feeling him since he brought up the shooting.

"Nothing, we just say hi sometimes" she shrugged.

Lola turned back to look out the front window, since she was sitting in the passenger seat.

"So are you guys definitely coming to the game on Friday?" Darius asked stopping at a traffic light.

"Hell yeah. Your friends are hot" Shamika admitted casually.

"I'll tell them you said so" he chuckled.

"I heard there's a party afterwards" Shamika stated.

"If we win" Darius said.

"Aren't you going to see your dad on Saturday?" Lola asked Mika.

"So?"

"Wouldn't you like to have slept well before you go?" Lola said.

"Girls like me don't need beauty sleep. We just beautiful all the time" she smirked.

"Whatever" Lola laughed as they pulled up to school.

When Lola got out of the car she saw the girls that sat at Darius' table the other day looking at them.

She then saw Khloe emerge from them and walk towards them.

"Hey Lola" she smiled. A girl came up behind her too, she smiled but said nothing.

"Hi?"

"Hey Khloe" Darius said slamming the boot down and swinging his bag around his shoulder.

"Hey D" she said.

"Heyyy" the girl behind Khloe smiled.

"Hey Taylor" he smiled.

She was light skinned and tiny, she was kind of thick in the thighs and had a tiny waist. Her hair was pulled up into a messy bun and she had long eyelashes.

"This is Lola" Darius said introducing Lola to Taylor.

Lola wore ripped jeans and an oversized pink sweater with white airforces.

Lola acknowledged her and linked arms with Shamika.

"We're gonna go" Lola said before they could say anything. Darius stuttered as they walked straight past him and into the school.

"Damn that girl was a bitch" Shamika scoffed.

"Who?" Lola asked.

"That ginger one" she replied.

"Mika" Lola laughed. "She's the nicest one. The others wouldn't even say hi"

"If you say so" she rolled her eyes and walked ahead when she saw Luke and Haley.

She jumped onto Haley's back making her collapse.

"Shamika!" Haley said going red.

"You really got twig legs." Shamika giggled getting off of Haley and giving her a helping hand.

"You really got a heavy butt" Haley replied back.

"Yeh yeh whatever" Shamika waved her hand around in Haley's face.

"Where were you yesterday?" Haley asked Lola.

"I sat with Darius since I couldn't find you guys." Lola said. She tucked her straightened hair behind her ears. "Where were you guys anyways? Those girls suck, they're still salty I'm friends with Michael" Lola claimed.

"We said we were going out to eat" Luke stated.

"Shamika was supposed to text you" Haley glared at Shamika.

"I got distracted" she shrugged.

"With what?" Luke laughed.

"You should be asking with who" Haley smirked.

"Guys I'm not even talking to anyone right now" Mika said.

"What happened to Jared?" Luke asked.

"Why everyone keep speaking his name like he the shit"

"You thought he was the shit when you started tonguing him down any time you saw him" Lola said slyly pursing her lips so she wouldn't laugh.

FRIDAY

"Shamika!" Lola yelled up the stairs. "We're gonna be late"

"I told you she was gonna take time" Haley said going through some snapchat stories.

"Do I look good?" Shamika asked standing at the top of the stairs.

She wore a long sleeve blue shirt and a white skirt with some converse.

"Are those mine?" Lola said standing up observing the shoes on her cousins fat ass feet. "Yo fat fat feet gonna stretch my shoes out!"

"Shut up Lola. You look good Mika let's go"

"Who are you even trying to impress?" Lola said getting into Haley's dads car. He had lent it to them for the day.

"No one" she smirked sitting in the back.

Haley started driving and took the aux cord and played her music.

"Ooooh" Shamika said dancing in her chair. "I love me some Bryson Tiller"

"I'm back and I'm better" Mika said singing along with him. "I want you bad as ever"

"Pull up skrrt" Lola and Shamika yelled when that part came up.

"You guys are so loud" Haley laughed.

"Got good pussy girl..." Lola sang to Haley touching her thigh as she drove.

"Lola I'm gonna crash" Haley laughed swatting her friend away.

Lola giggled as she sang the rest of the lyrics to her.

Once they got to the basketball court it was nearly full and the teams were warming up with 2 minutes before the game started.

"See now we don't have good seats" Haley said sitting in the back corner as the others followed her.

"Nobody told you to wait on my ass" she said applying lipgloss onto her lips.

"Right" Lola said knowing damn well that Shamika would've gotten angry if they left her.

"Lola" someone called before the game started. She scanned the large room and saw Darius, Michael and Emmanuel by the bench smiling up at them.

Lola waved at them. Then Luke ran up to the bench too and waved up at Haley. She blushed and waved back down. Some of the crowd looked up at them.

Lola saw Khloe and her friends by the seats behind the home teams area. She had also turned around to see who the guys were waving at. She smiled and waved at Lola too.

"Since when were you cool with Khloe?" Haley asked as the game started.

"Yesterday" Lola shrugged and tried to concentrate on the game.

"That's a foul" Lola and Haley yelled as Michael was pushed before taking a shot. Parts of the crowd started chanting "where's your glasses?" As the ref disregarded their remarks and let the game go on.

"What the heck is going on?" Shamika mumbled.

As the game went on Michael and Emmanuel were playing amazingly as a duo. Emmanuel was usually a point guard, but since Michael was playing he was able to take more shots. The majority of the shots came from Emmanuel whilst Michael assisted him.

Darius was subbed in for Michael during one of the quarters.

"Woooo!" Some of Khloes friends yelled as he went on.

Lola was surprised at how well he played since he was on the bench for so long.He was hella quick and by half time had dunked on the other team making the crowd go crazy.

They walked down to the teams bench.

"You guys are playing sick" Lola said.

"Thanks" Emmanuel said wiping away some sweat with his towel.

"Thanks Lola" Michael said trying to give her a hug.

"Umm no" she said leaning back. "You're really sweaty"

"Haley doesn't care" Michael said pointing at her as she hugged Luke who had also played briefly.

"I'm not Haley though" Lola said crossing her arms.

Michael ignored her and hugged her anyway.

"Michael you stink" Lola laughed. He held onto her and wriggled around so that he could get his sweat on her.

"You're disgusting" Lola pouted wiping away the sweat.

"Love you too" he said kissing her temple.

Once he let go of hr, he walked with Emmanuel to the water fountain.

"Why is your coach keeping you on the bench?" Lola asked. "You play amazingly"

"I told him that I ain't feeling well so the others would have a chance to play. He tends to overplay the older players since we're generally better"

"Aww that's so cute" Lola giggled. She turned and saw Shamika talking to a white boy who was playing on the team too.

"Who's that?" Lola asked.

"Adam. He was at my table yesterday"

"Oh."

Lola felt Michael wrap his arm around her shoulder.

"Why aren't you cheer us on like them girls?" Emmanuel asked looking at Khloe's friends.

"You want us to cheer for you?" Haley asked.

"Yeh" Luke agreed.

"Fine" Haley smirked.

Once the girls sat down again, Emmanuel and Michael were starting again.

"That's my best friend!!"Lola yelled gaining a few stares.

Emmanuel blocked the other team and Haley stood up with Lola and started shouting along with the others in the crowd.

"That's not a foul!" Haley yelled as the ref called a foul. He glared up at the girls and they sat down.

"Y'all are gonna get us kicked out." Shamika laughed.

"We supporting our boys" Lola shrugged.

"Luke and Darius are going on" Haley said nudging Lola.

"Yeh I can see." Lola laughed.

"That's my baby!" Haley called out as Luke swished a shot.

Soon after he got fouled by the opposition who charged into him.

"FOUL!!!" Lola yelled.

"I can't believe you guys got us kicked out" Shamika said sitting on the trunk of the car.

"It's not my fault that I can ref better than the referee" Lola shrugged as she laughed. Haley had to be escorted out because she started calling the ref out and talking 'bout his family.

"You guys were doing the most. It was obvious they were going to win anyways." Shamika said.

"They were tied when we left, what made you think they were winning?" Lola asked.

"It said 5:38" Mika said.

"That was the time" Haley laughed.

Mika just blinked and poured before taking her phone out.

"I'm not an idiot guys"

"Ain't nobody said that" Lola laughed.

"Heyy girls" Khloe said making them all look their way. They noticed that people were leaving the building.

"Did they win?" Haley asked.

"Yeh" Khloe said.

"Darius shot the last basket" Taylor smirked.

Lola saw Shamika giving her a stank face and tried not to laugh.

"That's good" Lola said smiling.

"I really like the way you supported your guys out there" Khloe said. "We heard them laughing on the bench about you guys" Khloe giggled.

Haley blushed, no one in school really knew her so she put a lot of attention on herself today.

"Will we see you at tonight's party?" Khloe asked.

"Yeah we will" Shamika said looking her up and down, for some reason she really wasn't feeling her. Lola just nodded her head and smiled slightly.

"See you later then" Khloe said.

"Bye" Lola replied as they walked away.

"Wow, we must have really made a scene" Haley said.

"You think?" Shamika chuckled.

"So are you guys coming to mine to get changed for the party?" Haley asked.

"Sure" Lola agreed "but I need to get some clothes first."

"That's okay" Haley said.

After a few minutes, Haley felt a pair of familiar hands touch her waist.

"Thanks for cheering me on baby" he chuckled. "I didn't know you could get that angry"

Haley blushed. and played with his hands. "Neither did I"

Lola saw Michael and Emmanuel walk out the building too talking with each other.

"You played amazing" Lola said hugging Michael.

"I told you I was sick" he said flexing his muscles.

"You played good too" Lola said to Emmanuel.

"Thank you" he smiled. "I'll see you at the party then" he said dapping up Michael before walking away.

"You guys coming straight to mine?" Luke asked since he was the one throwing the party.

"Nah, we gotta change" Shamika said.

"Y'all look fine the way you are right now" Luke said.

"You know how girls are man" Michael chuckled.

"Y'all better hurry up then cause your gonna help me set it up"

"Who said anything about setting stuff up?" Shamika asked looking around "I ain't touching shit"

"Stop being mean" Lola rolled her eyes. "We'll help Luke don't worry."

"Thanks Lola"

"You coming with me or are you going with Haley?" Michael asked.

"You live closer so I might as well go with you." Lola said.

"Aight" Michael said hoisting his bag onto his shoulder.

"See you later" Lola said hugging Luke and Haley.

"Bye" Shamika waved.

"So.." Michael cheesed.

"What?" Lola asked.

"You called me best friend" he said.

"I mean- If you don't wanna be my bestie that's cool"

"Nah" Michael said. "I was just saying. It basically means you love me though" he said looking down at her with a grin.

"I do not love your annoying ass" Lola chuckled.

"Admit it"

"Everyone knows you guys love each other" Shamika said.

"I really don't know what your talking 'bout."

"oh its like that then" Michael said.

"Im kidding" Lola said hooking onto his arm. "I love you bro"

FLASHBACK TO TUESDAY/ IN LONDON

King knocked on the apartment door 13B and waited. No one opened the door so he checked his messages to see if he had gotten the right number.

"Hey" she finally opened the door and let him in. "I didn't think you'd actually call"

"Well I had nothing better to do" King smiled, he looked her up and down. She was wearing a silk robe that just showed her long legs.

"Come in" she said.

He walked into her apartment which was very clean and the tv was playing a movie at a low volume.

"You never told me your name" King said sitting down as she locked the door.

"Shay" she smiled.

"That's a nice name, never heard it before" he replied.

"Thank you", she said walking towards the couches. "Do you want anything to drink?"

"Yeh, sure" he said relaxing into the couch and watching the movie which he had recognised as The Intent.

She returned with a tray of drinks unsure on what he would like, especially since it was so late.

"So why are you in London?" she asked sitting close to him.

They began talking and exchanging flirtatious comments every so often. She leaned into him as they talked and her thigh touched his leg giving him different types of feelings.

"Yo I gotta go" he said looking at the time. It was bordering 4am.

"You could always sleep here" she suggested.

"You sure about that, you barely know me" he chuckled.

"I like you though" she smiled a little and touched his chest. She then got up to grab some blankets from another room.

"So how long are you staying here?" she asked from the other room.

"2 more weeks" he replied.

"That's kind of long" she said. "Do you miss your family?" she asked returning to the living room."

"I miss my little sister" he said taking the blankets from her.

"That's cute." she said. "I have younger brothers but I could say I'm fine without them there all the time"

King laughed with her as he layed the blankets on the couch.

He sat down on the couch as she switched the TV off.

"You not gonna get comfy?" she asked referring to his buttoned shirt.

He stood up again and started unbuttoning his shirt, he suddenly felt her small delicate hands the over. Once he took of his shirt fully she began pulling his undershirt off.

She started touching on his chest making him feel chills and his breathing elevated. Their faces were so close together and she leaned in to kiss him.

"I've got a girl, you know that" he said turning his face so that she kissed his cheek. He grabbed his shirt and shoes before heading out the door.
