Sam

I could hear voices whispering to each other as a door was locked behind them. I kept my eyes tightly shut as they walked away, to make sure they were gone. Where the hell am I? I feel warm, odd way for kidnappers to treat someone.

I opened my eyes slightly, aware of the old trap of pretending to leave a room when in actual fact, they had just closed the door with them on the inside. I was in a bed, a very comfy ones, surrounded by red and black. I waited for a noise, the slight sense that someone was watching me, waiting for me to jump up and see where I was.

I heard no breathing from another human being but myself, but to be safe, I turned over slightly, trying to get a view of the entire room as I slowly opened my eyes, glancing around the space before I realised it was empty. There was no trick, they were all gone.

I slowly got up, aware of any camera's that may be in the room however I saw nothing, not any camera's that I could see anyway. I slowly got up from the bed as it made a slight creak noise, I held my breathe for any sign of movement from outside the door yet there was nothing. I crept around the room slowly, looking for any use of escape: nail clippers, a bathrobe rope, anything sharp I could use as a weapon. I turned to the set of drawers to see a couple photos of a family.

They had an odd crest just like my family portraits sitting at the top of them, they were another Mafia group. Lets be honest, it was most likely an enemy, most allies will ask you around for tea before threatening you. At this point, my entire family must be out looking for me and I hoped that Charlie was alright.

I stared at the family picture until I noticed someone very familiar. Jules? What the hell was she doing in a photo with these people? I knew the truth really yet I didn't want to admit it, she was one of them. In her arms there was a tiny baby, adorable thing yet something told me it was James.

This is who she has been running from all this time? This is why they never stayed anywhere too long, or sometimes didn't answer when people called their names, and when they did, it was out of fear. Does James know? He was tiny, would Jules of told him?

Could it all be a coincidence? That they had captured us by accident and this was not against our family but rather about Jules's family. I needed to get out of here and warn her, tell James everything about what has happened.

These people were not stupid yet they let me be around so many things that could help me escape, to get out of here. Maybe they think that I am stupid, I will show them that I am not. I rushed through every draw, slowly and efficiently.

I found a pair of nail clippers in a jewellery draw, I pulled the knife out and started to look for a bobby pin. I rushed through Jules's stuff until I found a big pack of them, still unopened. They had dust on them too. Had they just left all of stuff ready for her to come back for them? I felt a slight bit of sympathy yet she must of left for a reason.

I sat on the lock, doing what Ebony did at the door which seemed so long ago now, another stupid adventure which could of caused a whole other issue. Is Ebony alright? She is probably pretending to be a spy once more, listening to everything and waiting for me to get home.

After ten minutes, a small click happened to the lock, I breathed slowly then not at all as I slowly opened the door, I peeked my head out to look out for any sign of movement, any chance of someone wandering down the hallway.

I clutched the knife in my hand between my fingers so it couldn't easily be snatched away and kept close to the wall as I walked along the corridor, ducking in places whenever I saw a camera until a saw a group of boys sat in a room playing a game on the television. I held my breathe as I walked by until they started yelling at each other.

"What's the point in this? Why did we take them two in the first place? Mum wouldn't agree with this", One of them yelled as the others just sat in silence.

"Mum isn't here, and she hasn't been here for nearly a decade. What father thinks is the right thing to do is what we follow, alright?", The tallest one said as the other one sat down in his chair in a sulk, obviously disagreeing with him. They reminded me of my family.

I crawled down the hallway and quickly rolled by the door, silent as a fox. At least Ebony taught me a few things about being slick. I looked every time I moved, there were a few close calls where I tucked myself into some window curtains, thank God they went all the way down to the floor otherwise I would of been caught by now.

As I tucked into corners and stayed quiet, I saw a chance of escape. The room opposite me had an open window but it out in the open, I would be caught easily is someone was to come from any direction. No. I had to find a different way out.

Before I was about to leave, a guard came from nowhere and closed the window, as though they had been watching me but it was odd as I closed the door behind me and even locked it so if they were to check on me, they would think I can't escape or that I was still asleep. It all falls apart if they actually open the door.

I rolled into what seemed to be an office room and tucked back into a long curtain, breathing heavily out of fear of being caught before I noticed papers sat on the desk. No, I don't need to read them at all. Lets be honest, I did. I totally did.

I rolled over to them slowly and pulled them to my chest before rolling back to behind the curtain.

Living in England. Two others. Shot in hospital. Charlie. Sam. Adam.

What the hell was this? A report maybe? Shot? Who the hell was shot?

Jules shot at the Keller's home, sniper has been eliminated. Charlie Keller went to see her in hospital. Reason: Unknown.

Jules was shot! And he didn't tell me, he didn't tell me any of this! My fear turned into anger as once again Charlie had told me nothing about what was going on. I read quickly through the report, reading all of their plans with the car crash, kidnapping both of us and bringing us here.

There were also bank account details with many different currencies coming in and out all from dozens of different companies. They were laundering money! This was perfect. I memorised every page, reading with ease quickly as I still kept watch for any sign of life. As I finished reading, I put the papers back to where they belong and slowly opened the window behind me, looking for anyone waiting on the outside.

I climbed out the window and landed in a small bush, thank goodness it was on the first floor of this massive house. I kept where I was for a few minutes as I closed the window with my hand from the outside, hopefully they wouldn't check if it was locked any time soon. As I closed it, I noticed a black tab stuck to the side of the window.

I froze.

It was a motion sensor, meaning they knew exactly where I was right now and that I had to move quickly. I slowly walked along the side of the wall, once again tucking into plants and crawling on the grass with my hood over my head.

I noticed a few gardeners cutting bushes and plants yet they paid no attention to me whatsoever but were complaining about the rubbish pay they were receiving. This was my chance to quickly crawl away through the grass, heading towards the wall at the back of their house before I noticed three men walking up and down with a cross look on their face and guns attached to their chest.

I needed a distraction. I looked around for anything that I could use before I noticed a BBQ station. Perfect. I made my way over very slowly, breathing ever so slightly before I heard people yelling inside. I ignored them as I turned the gas up all the way, grabbing the matchsticks next to it and lighting it up, throwing them on the fire and scampering away as quickly as I could.

After a few seconds, the fire started to get higher and higher before other things beside it started to get on fire. It was spreading quickly as I rolled back over to the wall, using my tiny fingers to cling onto the small partings in the brick. I turned every now and again to see if anyone was watching before I made it to the top.

As I climbed down the other side of the wall, I dropped down onto the grass on the other side, excited that I had escaped without help before I saw three other guards on this side of the wall staring at me.

I breathed heavily as we all seemed to stare at each other in surprise before I ran for it, pacing through the tall grass as I heard them yelling to each other, trying to catch up with me as I jumped over hay bales. Before I got to the road, a hand grabbed my arm and pulled me towards them.

I screamed before a hand went over my mouth and made me look at their face.

"Hey kid", He said to me with a smile.

"Scarface?", I asked him as he nodded, pulling me down to the grass to hide us from the men looking for us.

"Don't worry, the family will get Charlie out, we need to go", He said, pulling me through the field as the view of the giant house was lost out of view.
