Charlie

Sam was getting her foot all bandaged up in the kitchen as she sat on the kitchen side with Raymond, she gave me a nod of approval as he carried her and sat her onto the marble, I tried getting up myself  but my legs just gave away, I couldn't even hold my own body weight, let alone hers. Though she practically weighed nothing because she was small for her age.

"Raymond, come look at Charlie after, he keeps groaning in pain though he tries to hide it", Adam asked Raymond as he menacingly stared at the fire, though it was rather less intimidating as he was eating a slice of pepperoni pizza in his other hand. I could feel the heat of the fire from sat over here though Adam acted like it didn't bother him.

I glared at the back of his head for a moment and looked back to Sam who was looking at me with concern and worry. I gave her the biggest smile I could manage, trying to reassure her.

"I'm fine Sam, I promise, just a bit of back pain, I'm old you know?", I said quickly, trying to make her smile with the old joke but she didn't crack, rather just kept staring at me with wide eyes, pushing Raymond away to try and help me first.

"No, it's alright Sam, Charlie can cope more than you so we will get you fixed up first", Aiden said, trying to smile at Sam but she just crossed her arms at him, giving him a tiny look up and down, causing Leo to give a slight smirk but the others didn't catch it.

"Shut up Aiden, this is you who who has caused this havoc, your lucky I didn't throw you out for the week and make you scrounge like a dog", Adam said loudly, trying not to shout in front of Sam in which she was more focused on her foot being bandaged up. My back was killing me, it hurt to move, it was like it was completely swollen, even the movement from my shirt touching my back hurt it even more.

I was trying to breathe out slowly, as if it was going to stop the pain though it just made it worst. Sam was now staring right at me as Raymond was just finishing off, putting on some cream on her leg which was still rather swollen.

Raymond got up from his knees with a sigh, putting the bandages and medicine into a box and making his way over to me. I just nodded at him then towards Sam.

"Sam will be fine, she just needs to rest, she looks shattered the poor thing", He said with us, as if Sam was a child or something, being left alone in the kitchen to play with her imaginary dolls. I saw her stare at me with a straight face, her eyebrows raised slightly in a sarcastic manor.

"She can hear you, tell her that, don't treat her like a child, trust me, she's got the cheek of a fully grown woman", I said half seriously and sarcastically as Raymond nodded, understanding my meaning.

"Alright, your turn", Raymond said, turning to me and grabbing his medicine out of his box. I just stared at him for a moment as Raymond rolled his eyes slightly, probably annoyed that he had to apologise to a child.

Sam

"Okay, fine", he said, putting the medicine on the side and turning to face me, though his face softened when he looked at me.

I think Raymond puts on the sweet guy act to be honest and I think Charlie is also seeing through it, he seems to have his moments where he turns from a cute and smart kid to someone quite overprotective, I think the term is more possessive than anything. Charlie wouldn't put up with it if he was like that all the time, I mean, the only reason he was putting up with Raymond was because he knew I liked Raymond for being smart.

It doesn't take a genius to figure that out. Something tells me he was thinking the same thing because he kind of backed off from him which he maybe picked up on.

"Look Sam, you're going to be fine, just a small injury I'm sure we can fix right away, you need to rest for a few weeks in bed now, I'm sure your maids will take care of you real well", He said with a grin, motioning to Vicky and Teresa as they nodded at Raymond, twirling their hair at the same time. I just rolled her eyes and went to go climb off the counter when Max quickly rushed up from the sofa and went to help me down.

I just glared at him though as Max stood there, holding his hands out, waiting to be there to catch me if I needed. Max was the opposite of Raymond, although he seemed tough and mean, he was actually really sweet and adorable, he was more feminine that he puts on.

It was getting harder to get down as I realized how high up I actually was, it seemed now was the right time to see how loving Max was, and how sorry he was. Though I hate the idea of him touching me, I had to know who to trust in this house and who would have my back, despite the situation to do with the leg.

I gave Charlie a small look so he knew not to freak out just in case I did fall and break a rib. Alright, deep breathes.

I pretended to slide slightly to try and get down before sliding all the way odd the counter, falling quickly towards the floor as the boys all shouted my name, Aiden screaming Max.

Max moved quickly, jumping practically to catch me gently in his arms, which by the way were fucking huge, what did these boys eat. He pulled me up to his chest and put me down gently onto the floor, giving me his arm for a bit of support so I can keep myself upright.

He caught me though. And I could see that he looked rather worried about my leg as he kept checking it up and down.

"Are you alright?", He asked me over and over again, his voice was rather squeaky and high as he asked, making sure that I wasn't hurt. I just nodded as Leo looked me up and down from the corner of my eye, he knew I did it on purpose for sure whereas Charlie was trying to get up from the sofa but Aiden made sure he stayed where he was.

This time gentler.

"I'm fine, just slipped", I said quickly, trying to hobble towards Charlie yet I slipped again on their marble flooring, why is everything in this house full of marble? How superficial and pretentious are these people?

Max put his arm under my legs and pulled me up towards him, causing my body to go into full on panic mode, I would normally be a lot calmer and shove them off quickly when I know they are going to hug me and I see it coming, but when people do it spontaneously, it stresses me out even more.

I wriggled in his arms and started to scream, loudly. I didn't even mean to, it came out automatically at this point. His hands were like fire, burning my skin as he quickly put me down onto the floor, all of them sat in shock as I sat against the wall, pulling my knees up to my chest, trying to make myself small once again.

Charlie was yelling at them but I wasn't paying any attention, rather just ignored the noise as it was giving me a headache, my hands clutched up to my ears and I leaned back and forth, trying to calm down as quickly as I could. My breathing was getting quickly as I started to mumble under my breathe, reciting the laws of Issac Newton.

I think they started to notice as it suddenly got very quiet, like they were all just staring at me in shock at my behavior, maybe a little frightened themselves. Kids always got worried when I got like this, but it wasn't on purpose.

I was starting to hyperventilate, my eyes started to blink quickly as the air around me started to ripple like the heat of the fire, my head started spinning, cutting off the light completely.

Charlie

Sam fell to the floor, her eyes rolled to the back of her head as I tried my hardest to get up towards her, to try and run and help but once again I fell back to the sofa, my back cutting as I did, my skin so tight from being thrown onto the floor, so swollen that my skin was that fragile.

"Sam!?", Max and Chris shouted at the same time, rushing over to her, yet Raymond moved slightly towards her with his mouth open slightly.

"I thought you said that she was alright?", Adam shouted at Raymond as Leo took of his jacket and placed it on Sam, picking her up bridal style, making sure to keep her head up. They were all so gentle with her. Treating her like a baby.

Max moved her hair from her face and they all smiled her her, even Adam. They were all huddled around her but Raymond, who was still next to me with an arm on my shoulder, gently but reassuringly, like he was showing me that he cared if I was alright just as the others cared about Sam.

It was a nice feeling rather than being ignored all the time.

"I'll put Sam to bed and we can check on her through the night to make sure that she's okay", Leo said, giving me a nod and walking up the stairs with her, his jacket still tucked tightly around her, Chris, Max and Raymond followed him up the stairs as Adam and Raymond stayed with me.

"I have some work to do, Raymond, you got this brother?", Adam asked in his normal, more serious tone like before that he always had. I just nodded as Adam went up to his office, not even bothering to look back.

"It would annoy me as well, but they do love you the same, they just struggle to show it like they do with Sam, she's practically a baby, your a teenager. They just need to learn how to communicate properly with you.", Raymond said with a smile, cutting of my shirt. I didn't say anything, rather just nodded.

"Alright then, let's get this sorted so you can go and be with Sam", He said, bringing out the bandages.
