Twelve years ago...

"Y/N, don't go near the water! The mermaids will get you!" My mother said as I continued to walk along the shoreline while holding my toy car. I was seven years old when I first saw the mermaid that completed my life. She's sitting by the end of the shoreline at the rocks. I walked towards her and waved at her.

"Oh, hello! What are you doing here at this part of the shore?" The mermaid asked as I sit down on the pink sand.

"I'm just exploring!" I said as I laughed, which the mermaid adored. My laugh was the cutest part of me. It's just like a laugh of a baby.

"Okay. My name is Olivia Hye and yours is?" The mermaid asked. I was about to say my name when my mother arrived. She looked at the mermaid and then she carried me back to our summer house. Yes, we have a summer house by the shore. It was quite fun actually because I always wanted to swim and I love nature.

"Sweetie, don't go near mermaide okay? They might take you." My mother said as I nod. She smiled then kissed me on the cheeks. I walked all over the living room while playing with my toy car. 

Present Time...

I was back at our old summer house twelve years ago. I was crying since good memories are made here with mom, which passed away last year. No one is now at the summer house, except for the caretaker of it. My friends went down the van and started to go inside the summer house.

"Woah, Y/N! You have a huge summer house!" My friend Dayoung said as she took a tour of the summer house. I walked inside the house and saw the things that are inside since I was seven is still here. I walked up the stairs to my mother's room and saw that nothing was changed. It was all the same. I walked towards the bed and saw my favorite toy car was still there. I grabbed and looked at it. It was the gift of my mother when I celebrated my first birthday. I cried as I kept on looking at the car. I put it down on the bed and started going back to the living room. I saw my friends have made themselves home.

"Mr. Jung, someone is looking for you." The caretaker said as she led the way. I followed her. She went outside to the shoreline. I remembered the time I was walking along the shoreline with my toy car. She led me towards the end of the shore, where a mermaid was there, sitting while observing the sun setting down.

"O-Olivia? Y-You're still h-h-here?" I said as she looked towards me. I could see the tears that formed in her eyes. I went up to her and hugged her. It was a long time since we first met.

"You came back! You didn't tell me your name." Olivia Hye said as I forgot about it. I haven't told her my name yet! I was about to tell my name when my mother fetched me.

"My name is Y/N. I'm so happy to see you again. It has been twelve years since I first met you." I said as she stood up. I saw her mermaid tail transform into feet.

"I missed you, Y/N!" Olivia Hye said as she hugged me again. I hugged her too. I saw the caretaker leave the scene and went back to the house.

"You promise you'll never leave me?" She said while I nod. I sold my apartment in the city to move here. No one would take care this place. My friends somehow knew about it and persuaded me to let them join me. I just sighed and let them.

"I promise." I said as I kissed her.

This is one of my weird chapters again😂 And yes, I have written more words than just 300.
