Chapter 9: Surprise?

9 Years Later

"Next up, Miss Isabella Lopez." I wave to the crowds of roaring fans, and turn Moe around the arena. I smile as I see Bobby in the crowd. His arms crossed and his lips pulled back into a straight line. I had practically dragged him here tonight. This was my big break, if I won tonight I'd be first in the world. I'd been working on this since the day the Winchesters left me to live with Bobby. He taught me everything I wanted to know about the supernatural, he helped widened my view on monsters, and taught me how to shoot my 12 gauge.

I had changed a lot. I had seen the darkest sides of the world, and I've been through some tough shit. I'm not the cute giggly girl I used to be. My appearance hardly changed however; my breasts and butt got bigger (I would hope speaking I was only 17), and my hair now reached just above my butt (yeah, it's a pain to brush out in the morning). I had been hunting for eight years now. I started when I was 18. Going to rodeos, and hunting monsters. I liked working alone, but sometimes Bobby would accompany me on my trips. He was pretty much a Dad to me. He treated me like a daughter, and has been there for me since I've lived with him.

I never forgot about what the Winchesters did for me. They saved my life, and gave me a new chance at life. I sometimes found myself thinking about Dean. Where was he? What was he doing? Is he okay? I grabbed the pendant on the necklace that Dean got me when I was in the hospital. I'm shaken from my thoughts as a horn blares telling me to get ready. I turn Moe in a circle and take off towards the right barrel. Moe goes around the first one with ease, then the second, then the third. I kick Moe, and he gives out a burst of speed. I circle Moe around as we finish, and walk him around the perimeter of the arena as I await the judges final score.

"Ladies and Gentlemen!!! We have a new first in the world leader!!! Miss Isabella Lopez!!!" The whole crowd is on their feet, even Bobby's standing and clapping wildly. I give a fake smile for the crowd and gallop Moe around the arena to do a victory lap. The judge hands me a trophy, and a certificate for 3 grand. I smile as they take my picture, then let the smile fell immediately afterward. I try to take Moe to the trailer, but I get bombarded by fans.

"Isabella!" They cry, and hold out items for me to sign. I stop to sign a little girls picture of me and Moe, and smile at her mother. I push pass them and out to the not so crowded, riders area. The other riders congratulate me, and give me a pat on the back. I put Moe in a round pen, and watch him as he drinks from the water bucket.

"Nice job girl," Bobby says from behind me. I turn to him, and shrug.

"I'm first in the world. It's been my dream since I was 7, and I made it. Now I guess all I have is hunting." He chuckles, and puts his hand on my shoulder.

"Look at the bright side, it saves lives. Now let's get out of here, I'm starving." I smile at him, and load Moe up in his trailer. As I'm following Bobby out to the house, I have a strange feeling we're being followed. I stare out my windshield, and watch as my lights illuminate the silhouettes of Bobby's truck, and my house. Well Moe's stable/my house. I had converted an old barn into a small apartment but built in a stall for Moe downstairs. I didn't want to bother Bobby by living with him, I have a life of my own,. Especially with my dates (cough, cough), or when I go out drinking. He did insist we eat meals together. I slide out of my truck, and get pounced on by my Australian Shepherd Daisy. I tap my chest, and she jumps into my arms. I let her lick my chin, then drop her back down. She follows me, as I get Moe out of the trailer. Moe goes right in his stall, and nickers at me. I take off Moe's tack, and hang it on the wall. Moe rubs his head against my shoulder.

"First in the world," I chuckle at him, "Can you believe it?" Moe bobs his head up and down. I fill his water bucket, give him his dinner, then leave the stable. Daisy trots at my heels as I enter the house. I grab a pizza from the freezer and pop it into the already preheated oven. As I go to walk upstairs to get Bobby, my vision becomes hazy, I become extremely dizzy and soon feel feverish. Daisy barks madly as I grip the railing for support.

"Bobby," I croak before everything turns black.

I opened my eyes slowly, shaking my head trying to get rid of the blurriness that blocked my vision.

"Ah, the sleeping beauty awakes," says a familiar voice. Someone grabs my face roughly, and makes me look up at them. I open my fully to see the blue and hazel colored eyes of Russell.

"So," he says walking around me, stroking my face roughly, "Thought you could hide from us?"

"Us?" Russell points to four other people. Two males, and two females. One of the females being my mother.

"So you finally picked your side mother? You chose him over your own flesh and blood!? You chose the man who beat me over the your own daughter?!"

"Silence!" Russell yells as tears streak down my mothers face. He walks towards me, and smacks me across the face.

"Where is he?"

"Who? You failed to mention who you were looking for dumb ass." This time he punches me, and grits his teeth.

"John Winchester, where is he?" I snort, and spit out blood.

"Don't know, don't care. They left eight years ago. I didn't exactly keep tabs on them." He goes to hit me again, when my mother cries out,

"Stop it! She said she doesn't know where he is. Let's go Russell." The others chuckle at my mother's antics. I see something move out of the corner of my eye, and glance at the picture hanging on the wall. A man was making his way towards us.

"What are you anyway? Cause I know you aren't ghost, and I know you aren't demons. So what the hell are you?" Russell turns towards me, and smiles. All his teeth becoming fangs.

"Had to be vamps," I say shaking my head, "Let me guess you're one too mother?" She turns her head away from me.

"Thought so." I glanced in the frame once again, and see the man just on the other side of the doorway holding a machete out in front of him. Russel stands before me, and smirks.

"Ya know what?" He asks the others behind him, "I'm kinda hungry. Aren't you?" Before anything can happen the man rushes in, and slices Russell's head clean off. My mother quickly runs out the door, and I hear the sound of gravel flying. Then one by one, he chops off the others. The man then turns to me.

"You okay there sweetheart?"

"Yeah, I'm fine ... thanks for stepping in."

"No problem. Where's Bobby, and does a girl still live here? Who are you anyway?" I scoffed,

"Who the hell are you? You just walk into my house ..."

"Saved your life," he interrupted.

"Don't interrupt me. You came in here, made this mess and now are asking questions! The question is who the hell are you?!"

"Names Dean sweetheart, Dean Winchester." No it couldn't be ... after nine years later he finally came back.

"Dean?" I manage to choke out.

"Yeah, so where's Bobby and who are you?"

"It's been nine years and you don't remember me?" I grabbed my pendant again, and watched Dean's reaction as he sees the necklace.

"Zee? Is that you? Damn somebody grew up," he said with a smirk. I blushed at his words.

"No Dean I totally haven't grown any since I was 17," I say sarcastically. He chuckles, and wipes the blood off his machete.

"Why are you here anyway?"

"I'm looking for Bobby. Sammy and I are looking for our dad, he's missing."

"Sammy's here? Where is he? And your dad is always missing Dean."

"Out in the car, and yeah I know ... but this time its different." Dean's face looks sad. I immediately felt the same. I put my hand in his shoulder,

"I'm sure Bobby will help you guys look for him." Dean nods his head. I walk outside, and see the impala next to my truck. Inside sits a very grown up Sammy.

"Dean did you find Bobby?" He asks getting out, "Who's that?"

"Sammy doesn't remember me either? I'm honestly hurt."

"It's Sa ... how do you know my name?" I laugh. Sammy's face fills with confusion.

"Sammy you and I used to talk about comic books. Remember? When I was in the hospital?"

"Zee? Is that really you? Wow, it's so good to see you," he says hugging me. I hug him back, then pull away. Dean has his arms crossed, and looks to be almost pouting.

"Why didn't I get a hug?" he asks.

"Because I like Sammy better." Dean seems offended, and walks back into the house.

"What's his problem?" I ask pointing my thumb in the direction Dean had just been.

"No clue."

"Jesus child what have you been eating? You're huge!" I say poking his chest. Sam smiles.

"Oh ya know college food." I laugh at him.

"C'mon we don't want Dean to tear up the house." Sam and I walk into the house, and find all the vamps bodies gone, and Dean and Bobby sitting at the kitchen table drinking a beer.

"Took ya long enough," Bobby says, "I thought you'd try and find me. Nope Stupid here did. Tied up and in the closet." I laugh at him.

"He shoulda left you there." Bobby scowls at me, but I just smile. I look at Dean who jerks his eyes away from my gaze. Was he checking me out? I turn to Sam and smile at him, but watch Dean out of the corner of my eye. His face is full of jealously, and his eyes almost seemed hungry. I honestly wanted to do something, like drop something, bend over and pick it up or something stupid like that just to see Dean's reaction. I just turned around on my heels, and headed outside.
