Chapter 6: Dean goes shopping

When I wake up, I'm in a hospital.

"Great," I think, "Just great." I go to sit up ... Big mistake.

I scream in pain, and soon Dean, his dad, Sam, and a doctor rush in.

"Miss Lopez ... Don't try to move," the doctor says.

"Wish someone would have told me that," I growl through gritted teeth.

"Sorry miss, but you've been out for about 2 days," the doctor says. The pain stops for a brief moment ...

"2 days!" I exclaim. I go to move again, but cry out in pain.

"Miss Lopez, you have three broken ribs, and a bruised lung, please don't move," the doctor says.

"You tell me that now," I scoff to the doctor.

The doctor frowns, mutters something about trying to tell me about my injuries, and walks out of the room. Dean grabs my hand, and I turn to look at him, but instead look to his father.

"Thank you for saving me," I say.

"No problem kid," he says, and follows the doctor out of the room.

I look at Dean, who squeezes my hand. I look at Sam who sends me a small grin over the top of his comic book.

"So ... What's the plan," I say. Dean looks at me confused.

"Uh ... What plan?" I roll my eyes at him.

"The plan to get me out of here ... Duh," I say stubbornly.

Dean's P.O.V

I looked at Izzy in complete shock.

"What do mean get you out'a here? Your hurt, and as much as I don't like hospitals I'm staying with you," I say.

Izzy crosses her arms, and glares at me.

"I'm not staying here, so either you help me escape, or ..."

"Or what ?" I ask.

"Or ... I escape myself," she finishes.

I can't help but glare at her. She was hurt, why wouldn't she just stay, and get help?! She just glared back at me, I probably wasn't gonna get anywhere. I sighed. Izzy clapped, and giggled. I couldn't help but to be drawn to her. She was mischievous, smart, cunning.

"So ... Where are you gonna go?" I ask, "You can't go back to your mom's ... not with Russell there." Izzy frowned.

"I don't know," she said with a sniffle, then she began to cry.

I sat next to her, and hugged her gently. I let her cry against me, and began to rub comforting circles on her back. I look toward Sam, and mouthed,

"Go get dad." Sam nodded, and left the room.

I put my fingers on the bottom of Izzy's chin, and lifted it upward, making her face level with mine. Her face glistening where the tears had trailed down her beautiful face. Her blue eyes seemed gray, as if her tears drained their color. I hadn't lied to her when I told her she was beautiful, to me she was. I pressed my lips gently to her forehead, and held her till my dad, and Sam walked back into the room.

"Where's she gonna go dad?" I ask.

My father motions for me to follow him out of the room. He shuts the door behind us.

"Where's she gonna go?" I ask again. My dad just sighed, and looked down at his boots.

"She'll have to go back to her moms."

"What!" I exclaim, "She can't go back! Dad she was beat black, and blue."

My dad looked at me at me with disappointment. I looked at him hopefully.

"She can't come with us Dean."

"Bu-"

"Not but's Dean ... It's to dangerous," he said turning around.

"But she knows about the supernatural," I say quietly.

My dad turned back around quickly.

"You told her ... Didn't you?!"

"No ... Dad I didn't she already knew. She has an anti possession bracelet, and she said she had a fascination with it," I say crossing my arms.

My dad just stared at me. Then a brilliant idea popped into my head, and I normally don't say that, I have looks ... Not brains.

"Dad?"

"Hmm?"

"What about Bobby?" I ask.

Bobby Singer was a friend of my dads. He was a cool, killed monsters, and that way I could see Izzy any time I wanted.

"Do you think he'd take her in?" My dad pondered a moment.

"He does owe me a favor," he says reaching in his pockets.

He threw me the keys to the Impala,

"Go get Izzy some clothes, while I call Bobby."

I smiled ... Dad rarely let me drive the Impala, so i practically skipped down the hallway. Climbing into the I started the engine, and flipped the radio to a good rock station. I pulled out of the hospital, and drove down to a little shop that had some girls clothes. As I pushed the door to the shop open a little bell rang. I saw all the women watching me go through the clothes, and pick out an outfit for Izzy. I didn't know what Izzy liked, so I just picked out something I though was nice.

As I was paying, a necklace caught my eye. It was a choker I believe, but again who am I for saying what it is, I mean I  only have my good looks remember. ""Reader"" (Yes Dean ... I Know). It had a wings, and a halo, but on the back, there was an antipossesion symbol carved into the back. I immediately thought of Izzy, and bought as well. I payed for everything, then went back to the hospital with Izzy's gift.
