(Remi POV)

We finally reach Nekoma after lots of Bokutō and Kuroo talking to -- and teasing -- each other. And of course them both bugging me about trying to play volleyball. Kuroo had asked Bokutō for some help with convincing me because he thought I didn't find Bokutō annoying -- which is correct. So after a bit of convincing from Bokutō I gave in and agreed.

I was really dreading even trying to play volleyball, it seemed hard, and you have to run. I hate running.

When we entered the gym there were already a few people there.

Coach Nekomata, Yaku(-senpai), Akaashi(-senpai), the Fukurōdani coach, some others who are extras which I don't know the names of, and -- surprisingly -- Lev.

Which means that Yamamoto isn't here, along with some Nekoma players, and most Fukurōdani players.

Everyone walks in separate directions -- Bokutō goes over to Akaashi whilst yelling "AHGAASHI", Kenma goes to a corner and starts playing video games, and Kuroo walks over to his coach.

I, on the other hand, just stood at the door, awkwardly, not knowing what to do.

I look around and the only other people I recognize that I haven't mentioned are Yaku and Lev talking together.

So adorable I think to myself as I stare at them for a few seconds. Wait they're literally just talking how- whatever.

Kuroo then comes back to me and says

"Alright! Coach said it'd be fine if you tried it out, so let's go stretch!"

I sigh deeply

"Just know I'm only doing this because I don't wanna see Bokutō sad, okay?" I say as I begin to stretch

"Yeah yeah, whatever makes you try it" Kuroo then also stretches

After stretching Kuroo starts talking again

"Alright! First we're gonna start off with what newbie's are the worst at most of the time" Kuroo says as he starts walking over to the court "Yaku! Lev! Kenma! Mind helping me?"

Kenma just ignores Kuroo, but Lev immediately comes over "dragging" Yaku behind him.

"Gimme a sec while I get Kenma.." Kuroo sighs then heads over to Kenma

"Tsk, he calls us over then doesn't even talk to us" Yaku says mumbles

Lev then questions "Oh, and who are you by the way?"

Deja Vu, I have been in this place before-

"My names Korral Remi, my pronouns are He/They/Xie, and I'm a DemiBoy, nice to meet you two" I then bow -- mainly towards Yaku because I actually respect him -- and of course I respect Kenma too, but I forgot to bow back then...

"Nice to meet you too, I'm Yaku Morisuke, I go by He/Him and I'm a man" Yaku says slightly smiling -- probably because he feels like I actually respect him.

Lev looks back and forth at Yaku and I

"Wait, what are pronouns again?" Lev asks, very confused

Yaku sighs as his small smile fades, then he explains what they are and how to use them.

"Ohh, I get it now! Hi, I'm Haiba Lev, I also go be He/Him pronouns and am also a man" Lev says proudly

Yaku just shakes his head, but also smiles at his stupidity.

"You cute idiot" Yaku mumbles under his breath so no one could hear him, but -- somehow -- I was able to hear him.

I then smirked at Yaku, and he immediately saw, but didn't have enough time to think because Lev then said

"Hmm? Did you say something Yaku? You're a bit short so you gotta speak up"

Lev laughed a little at the end of it.

"Why you little-" Yaku says while gritting his teeth, then kicks Lev

"OW- BUT PAHAHAHA THE ONLY LITTLE ONE- IS YOU- AHAHAHAHAHA" Lev says, cackling at his own words

During the beat-down of Lev, Kuroo finally comes back, along with Kenma.

"Don't worry, that happens a lot, you'll get used to it" Kuroo says patting my shoulder

"I'm already used to it," I say laughing a bit "and I gotta admit, it's funny as hell"

Kuroo laughs a bit too then says "Alright! Enough fighting, let's start"

"Oh yeah, what are we doing anyway? The rest of the team isn't here, and we already set up" Yaku asked

"Right, so as you can see there is a new person here -- which I hope you already introduced yourselves. So what's gonna happen is Remi's just gonna try out volleyball" Kuroo explained

"Yeah- try and fail at volleyball" I mumbled

"Hey hey you'll do fine, besides the height, I'm sure you're just as good as Lev" Kuroo says while patting my shoulder

"Hey!! Rude!!" Lev pouts

"Alright! First we're gonna do receives, Lev you give a demonstration on what not to do and Yaku you give a demonstration on what to do" Kuroo says as he and Kenma go to the other side of the court.

Lev continues pouting and Yaku and I step off the court to watch.

"Alright, ready?" Kuroo yells

"Yup!" Lev replies

Some extra tosses the ball to Kenma who then sets it to Kuroo for him to spike.

Kuroo spikes the ball towards Lev who receives it.

"And that, is what not to do" Yaku says shaking his head

That looked perfectly fine though? And Kuroo said volleyball isn't hard.

Yaku then walks onto the court as Lev walks off

"Now watch carefully how to do it correctly!" Kuroo shouts and I give him a thumbs up

The same extra passes the ball to Kenma who sets it again.

Kuroo jumps up and spikes the ball a lot harder than before.

The ball goes zooming in the opposite direction of Yaku, but Yaku moves over and recovers it perfectly.

Wow

"Woah, Yaku! Nice receive!" A new voice called out

I look around and see standing at the door was Yamamoto.

"Thanks Yamamoto, I was just showing Korral how to do a proper receive" Yaku replied

(Yamamoto POV bc I need more POV's)

"Korral? Huh? Who's that?" I asked

"That's Korral" Yaku then pointed to a -- A GIRL?? that was next to Lev.

"Woaahh hey there, I like your fluffy hair" I said sliding over to Korral -- as Yaku stated.

"Uhh.. thanks?" Korral looked confused

Now that I think about it, is that a girl? Because she's wearing the boy's uniform, but she could just be a hardcore tomboy.

"Nice glasses by the way, they're really cute" I said as I reassured myself she was a girl "but not as cute as you"

I then leaned on her shoulder

She then started laughing

"Pfft, good joke"

"Wat?" I said confused "it wasn't a joke though..?"

"Mhm, suuuuure, and I'm not wearing the boy's uniform" Korral said laughing a bit more

(Yaku POV)

Wait, is Yamamoto also fruity? He seemed so straight though...

(Kuroo POV)

Yamamoto had gone over to Remi and started talking with xem, but I couldn't figure out what they were talking about. Though I knew it must be something funny because Remi was laughing.

"Oi, Remi, enough chit chat! Go ahead and try to receive now! Yakkun can tell you some more stuff if you need!" I shouted to Remi and in return got a loud groan.

Remi then took their jacket, (is it considered a jacket?) glasses, and I think a blue and red paracord bracelet off, but I couldn't really make it out too well. Remi then headed over to the other side of the court.

I guess he knows that flatter arms are better -- or they're just taking it off for a different reason.

"Y'know you can keep your glasses on, right?" I say to Remi

"Yeah, but I feel like the ball is just gonna hit my face and not my hands, and I don't wanna break them"

"Fair point"

We got into our positions, then Fukunaga tossed Kenma another ball, Kenma set it and I spiked it, but not that hard, right towards Remi.

I could see Remi had a slightly panicked look on xier face as they backed up slightly -- but not far enough.

Wham

Remi had got hit directly in the face and stumbled back a bit.

"Told ya" Remi said annoyed

"Did you even try?" I pouted as I went over to him

"I did, I just suck" Remi said rubbing under their nose -- which I'm assuming was to check if it was bleeding, and it wasn't.

"Yo.. are you okay?" Yamamoto asked as he finally processed what happened and headed over to Remi

"Yeah, I'm fine, surprisingly no bloody nose, kinda stings though" Xie replied rubbing their face

"Tsk tsk, dude how could you hit a girl like that, you shouldn't have hit it so hard" Yamamoto said caressing Remi's cheek

Excuse me? I barely even touched that ball-

"Huh- I didn't mean to-"

"What." Remi slowly turned to Yamamoto

"What do you mean what..?" Yamamoto asked, slight (very slight) panick was in his voice

Welp he messed up big time

Remi grabbed Yamamoto's arm that was caressing his cheek.

He then turned to me

"Do you mind if I punch him?"

"Uh- YEAH?!"

Should that even be a question??!

"Oh, nevermind then" Remi says turning back to Yamamoto "I. am. not. a. girl."

"Wait.. what..?"

"Yeah, I'm not a girl, I'm a DemiBoy" Remi started a bit rudely then thought a bit and continued "Though I guess it is fine because sometimes I misgender myself.."

Remi then let's go of Yamamoto's arm and we continue with whatever you wanna call what we were doing.
