Quidditch Match

It was lunch time and every student was in the great hall.

"You know the Quidditch match is today, don't be late," said Draco.

But Rosalie was playing with her fork over her plate. Draco snapped his fingers in front of her face as she returned to reality.

"Um, uh, sorry, I wasn't listening," Rosalie said.

"Obviously. I said we have the finals today," Draco said.

"Oh, yes, I know. I have to go to my dorm. I'll be on time, I promise," she said.

As she got up from the table to head to her dorm, she met McGonagall on the way.

"Ah, Miss Black, I was looking for you. The headmaster wants you in his office at 3 o'clock."

"Yes, I'll be there on time. Thank you, Professor," Rosalie said.

As McGonagall was about to go, she turned and said, "I bet you would like a lemon drop." She winked at the girl.

Rosalie smirked at the password.

'Lemon drop'. Who would use that as a password? she thought as she was in her room. She took a piece of parchment and started writing.

Dear hidden ghost,

Hope you're doing well! I know it's only been a couple of days, but I've been missing our chats lately.

So, guess what? I've got a Quidditch match today, and I was thinking it'd be awesome if you could make it. I totally get it if you can't, though. I mean, you've got to lay low, right? It'd be pretty risky for you to show up here. But, it's the finals, Gryffindor versus Slytherin! Last time we faced Gryffindor in the finals was back when you were in your fifth year. I'm going against Alphard.

No pressure at all, seriously. I know it's a tough call. Anyway, forget I mentioned it if it's too much. Have an awesome day, whatever you get up to.

Take care,

Ria

As she looked at the paper, she hesitated. It was pretty risky, but he was her only family left. Alphard would be followed by his dogs (Harry, Ron, and Hermione).

She folded her letter and gave it to her owl, Orion. She told him to go. She let out a heavy breath she didn't know she was holding.

~In Dumbledore's office~

"Ah, Miss Black, welcome," said the old man.

"Thank you. You wanted me, Professor?"

"I was wondering if you've got any new information."

"Yes," she said as she nodded. "I know where to find a Horcrux. It's in our house. I'll get it and then destroy it, when I will go on vacation, so it will need time."

"Very good. You're off to go."

As she got up from her seat, he said, "Good luck in today's game, Miss Black."

"Thank you, Professor."

As she went down the corridors to get herself ready, an arm grabbed her hand and pulled her to the wall.

"Cedric Amos Diggory, stop kidnapping me at every chance you can," she said.

"Why not? The look on your face is worth it, though," he said mockingly. "I wanted to wish you luck."

"Thank you, love. Really, I'm really stressed. You know I'm playing against Alphard and Gryffindor's are strong-"

As she spoke, Cedric couldn't help but be captivated by the earnestness in her eyes, the way her lips moved with such fervor as she shared her thoughts and dreams. Yet, amidst the torrent of words, he felt an undeniable urge to silence her-not out of malice, but out of a longing to capture this moment, to etch it into the fabric of his memory.

With a sudden impulse, Cedric closed the distance between them, his footsteps echoing softly against the cold stone floor. Rosalie's words faltered, her eyes widening in surprise as she met his gaze-a gaze filled with an unspoken question, a silent plea.

And then, without a word, Cedric leaned in, his heart pounding against his chest like a caged bird yearning for freedom. The world around them blurred into insignificance as their lips met-a collision of heat and electricity that sent tremors coursing through their veins.

For a fleeting moment, time stood still, suspended in the space between breaths. Cedric tasted the sweetness of anticipation on her lips, felt the warmth of her skin against his-a sensation that seared through him like wildfire, igniting a flame that burned brighter with each passing second.

"You can do it. Trust me," he whispered, breaking the kiss. He smiled at her, his eyes shining with admiration and affection. "You're amazing, Ria. You're the best Seeker I've ever seen. You'll beat Alphard and his goons, no doubt. I'll be cheering for you."

He kissed her forehead, then let go of her hand. He gave her a wink, then walked away, leaving her breathless and speechless.

Rosalie touched her lips, still feeling the heat of his kiss. She smiled, feeling a surge of confidence and happiness. She grabbed her broom and ran to the Quidditch pitch, ready to face her destiny.

As she almost arrived to the Quidditch pitch, she saw a small black cat who wanted to play.

"Come on, little one, I don't have time," she said as she tried to go. The cat came again in front of her, but this time it bit her on her leg.

"Ouch!" she yelled as she held the cat in her arm. She looked at its grey eyes, like hers. "Uncle Reg?" she said.

The cat meowed. "Damn it, have you gone mad?"

She put him down and followed him near the Quidditch pitch, but to an empty place. He turned to his human form.

"Long time no see, Ria, is it?" he said with a smile.

"I kind of feel guilty for bringing you here."

"Nah, anything for my niece. Besides, what's life without a little risk?"

"Thank you, though, for coming. You know..."

"Look, I don't have much time, but listen. As I did it at your age or older, you can do it. It's in our blood, talent. Just focus and remember, no matter what the results are, I'm proud of you. I'll be watching you as a cat, but I will encourage you, alright?" Regulus said with a hand on her face.

"You are the best," Rosalie said and hugged him.

Regulus couldn't describe that feeling. It was the first time he was hugged in years, and by who? His own niece. As he hugged her back, he felt a connection between them, like a father and daughter would.

As she let him go, she said, "I can do it." And with that, she ran to the pitch.

She saw Professor Lupin with some students from all the houses as someone knocked her back.

"I wanted to wish you good luck," said Alphard.

"Good luck to you too," she said with a smile.

As they were going in the same path, Remus, who saw them, couldn't stop himself from smiling.

They walked out onto the field to a tidal wave of noise. Three-quarters
of the crowd was wearing scarlet rosettes, waving scarlet flags with the Gryffindor lion upon them, or brandishing banners with slogans like "GO GRYFFINDOR!" and "LIONS FOR THE CUP!" Behind the Slytherin goal posts,
however, two hundred people were wearing green; the silver serpent of
Slytherin glittered on their flags, and Professor Snape sat in the very
front row, wearing green like everyone else, and a very grim smile.

As Jordan took the mic, he said, "And here they are, the Gryffindors!"
"Our chasers, Katie Bell, Angelina Johnson, and Alphard Black, beaters who are none other than our favorite Weasleys!"

"Jordan!" yelled McGonagall.

"Alright, the captain, Oliver Wood, and the seeker, Harry Potter!"

The crowd cheered.

"And here it is, the house of snake, with their only good player, the hottest seeker in the world, Rosalie Black!"

"Jordan, do your job properly!" said an angry McGonagall.

Rosalie, who was laughing at that comment, come on, she knew she was an icon. She was Sirius Black's daughter.

She was looking to the crowd for her uncle, aka the cat, when her gaze met with Lupin, who nodded at her and she returned it.

"Captains, shake hands!" said Madam Hooch. Flint and Wood approached each other and clasped each other's hands tightly, each seemingly trying to outdo the other in strength. "Mount your brooms!" said Madam Hooch. "Three... two... one..." The sound of her whistle was drowned out by the roar of the crowd as fourteen brooms soared into the air. Harry felt his hair fly back from his forehead as the thrill of flight overtook his nerves. Glancing around, he spotted Malfoy on his tail and sped off in pursuit of the Snitch.

"And it's Gryffindor in possession! Alphard Spinner of Gryffindor with the Quaffle, heading straight for the Slytherin goal posts, looking good, Alphard! Argh, no-Quaffle intercepted by Warrington! Warrington of Slytherin tearing up the field-WHAM!-nice Bludger work there by George Weasley! Warrington drops the Quaffle, it's caught by-Johnson, Gryffindor back in possession, come on, Angelina-nice swerve around Montague-duck, Angelina, that's a Bludger!-SHE SCORES! TEN-ZERO TO GRYFFINDOR!"

Angelina punched the air as she soared around the end of the field; the sea of scarlet below screamed its delight. "OUCH!" Angelina was nearly thrown from her broom as Marcus Flint collided with her. "Sorry!" said Flint as the crowd below booed. "Sorry, didn't see her!" A moment later, Fred Weasley hurled his Beater's club at the back of Flint's head. Flint's nose smashed into the handle of his broom and began to bleed. "That will do!" shrieked Madam Hooch, zooming between them. "Penalty shot to Gryffindor for an unprovoked attack on their Chaser! Penalty shot to Slytherin for deliberate damage to their Chaser!"

"Come off it, Madam!" howled Fred, but Madam Hooch blew her whistle, and Alicia flew forward to take the penalty. "Come on, Alphard!" yelled Lee into the silence that had descended on the crowd. "YES! HE'S BEATEN THE KEEPER! TWENTY-ZERO TO GRYFFINDOR! Scored by Black!"

"Gryffindor in possession, no, Slytherin in possession-no! Gryffindor back in possession, and it's Katie Bell, Katie Bell for Gryffindor with the Quaffle, she's streaking up the field-THAT WAS DELIBERATE!" Montague, a Slytherin Chaser, had swerved in front of Katie and, instead of seizing the Quaffle, had grabbed her head. Katie cartwheeled in the air, managed to stay on her broom, but dropped the Quaffle. Madam Hooch's whistle rang out again as she soared over to Montague and began shouting at him. A minute later, Katie had put another penalty past the Slytherin Seeker. "THIRTY-ZERO! TAKE THAT, YOU DIRTY, CHEATING-"

"Jordan, if you can't commentate in an unbiased way-"

"I'm telling it like it is, Professor!"

Harry felt a surge of excitement. He had spotted the Snitch shimmering at the foot of one of the Gryffindor goal posts-but he mustn't catch it yet-and if Rosalie saw it...

Rosalie spotted the Snitch from a distance and realized that Harry was following her, unaware of its location. That's when she changed her path, leading Harry into her trap. As Harry fell into her snare, she sped back, Harry at her side, both vying for the Snitch, the two in close proximity.

"Harry, it's no time to be a gentleman, push that bit-" Jordan didn't finish his sentence since McGonagall took the magical megaphone from him.

Rosalie was almost there, but when she sensed danger, she pushed Harry aside and secured the Snitch. "Slytherin wins!"

The crowd was jubilant as Rosalie caught sight of Cedric from afar. His presence added to her happiness. As they snapped a picture of her for the Quidditch wall, she envisioned it hanging next to her uncle's. Engaged in conversation with Draco, Rosalie was approached by Alphard.

"Congratulations!" he exclaimed.

"Merci," she replied.

As he attempted to speak, a black cat played near his legs.

"Midnight, hello buddy," Alphard greeted the cat.

"Mid what? How do you know him? You gave him a name?" Rosalie inquired.

"Yeah, I met him earlier this year. He's a very kind cat," he explained.

"Yes, he is," she agreed, playing with the cat resting on her brother's hand.
