Destiny's Echoes

"At 7 in the morning, the boys' dorm was filled with snoring.

"Wake up, Ronald, we have Quidditch training today," said Harry, opening the curtains. "You too, Phardo."

"Don't call me Phardo," said Alphard, half-asleep. Ron threw a pillow at Harry, which made him jump over him.

"Honestly, you two act like you are 5," murmured Alphard.

"Oh, come on," said Harry, pulling away the blanket from Alphard. "Alright, wonder boy, I'm coming."

He stood up and went to the shower door. "Neville, are you done?" he said.

"Hey, I'm not in there," said Neville behind him.

"Oh, sorry mate. I thought you were in here."

Later on, Hermione, Harry, Ron, and Alphard were walking in the hall when they heard Professor McGonagall.

"Mister Black, Mister Potter, a word please," she said as she headed towards her office.

"See you at breakfast then?" said Ron.

"Yeah, well, I guess," said Harry.

As Alphard and Harry were sitting in the chairs in McGonagall's office, she offered them some cookies.

"There's no point hiding it from you any longer," she said in a very serious voice. "I know this will come as a shock to you, but Sirius Black--"
"I know he's after me," said Harry wearily.

"We heard Arthur telling. Mrs. Weasley he works for the Ministry of Magic."

Professor McGonagall seemed very taken aback. She stared at them for a moment or two, then said, "I see! Well, in that case, Potter, you'll understand why I don't think it's a good idea for you to be practicing Quidditch in the evenings. Out on the field with only Your team members, it's very exposed-"

"We've got our first match on Saturday!" said Harry, outraged.

"I've got to train, Professor!" said Alphard.

Professor McGonagall considered him intently. Harry knew she was deeply interested in the Gryffindor team's prospects; it had been she, after all, who'd suggested him as Seeker in the first place. He waited, holding his breath.

"Hmm..." Professor McGonagall stood up and stared out of the window at the Quidditch field, just visible through the rain. "Well... goodness knows, I'd like to see us win the Cup at last... but all the same, Potter, Black... I'd be happier if a teacher were present. I'll ask Madam Hooch to oversee your training sessions."

"Thank you, Professor," said Harry happily.

"You're the best, Minnie," said Alphard as he winked to his professor, taking a bite from his cookie.

She suddenly felt sad that one day James Potter and Sirius Black were in the same place with the same facial expressions.

~flashback~

"Please, Professor, just ask Professor Slughorn. You are a teacher; he can't say no to you," said James.

"Unfortunately, Mister Potter, you and Mister Black misbehaved and deserved detention," said Minerva.

"You know that the match against Slytherin is on Saturday. If we are on detention, that means that Gryffindor loses," said Sirius.

"Is that a threat, Mister Black?"

"Not at all, Minnie."

"Well -umm-I can make some exceptions, I guess," said Minerva with a little smile on her face.

"Thank you, Professor," said James.

"You are the best, Minnie," said Sirius.

~end of flashback~

In the Great Hall, everyone is eating breakfast.

"So, she let you train; thank Merlin we are going to beat Slytherin's ass," said Ron.

"Language!" said Hermione.

"English," said Harry mockingly; they all laughed. Alphard didn't spot his sister today, which made him worried a bit.

They had DADA first. Everyone sat in their seats as Alphard turned to his left.

"Psps, Parkinson."

Pansy turned her head. "Fuck off, blood traitor."

"Have you seen Rose today?" he told her.

She kind of felt pity for him, so she turned. "Not at all."

And he grew worried. Nevertheless, Professor Lupin started the lesson when they heard the door open.

Rosalie appeared in her Slytherin robe, wearing her hair in a low bun with her long wolf-cut bangs from the sides. She looked skinnier than what she was before a week. She looked paler with a big scar over her face.

"I'm sorry, Professor; I overslept," she said.

"No worries; we just started, actually," said Remus.

As she looked over, the class was full; one place was empty besides her brother, who had also come late due to him flirting with a girl.

'Shit,' she thought.

She sat there silent as remus waited for the class to copy notes he couldn't fight the urge so he looked at his godson and daughter they looked like sirius they acted lik sirius they reminded him of sirius that's why he didn't talk to them much ,he found it funny how they moved their quills at the same time and sat in the same way they are after all twins he thought as the lesson almost ended; her quill fell to the other side as she tried to catch it. Her robe rolled up a bit, revealing a big scar; some of them looked horrible. Alphard saw them as she hid them again. As he turned his head to talk to her, the bell rang, and she stood up to walk away.

"Rose, wait..." Alphard left his bag and everything to follow her, which Remus saw. It felt bad that two generations of Black had the same story.

"Rosalie," he yelled. Rosalie was run-walking towards the Black Lace.

"Ria," she stopped. She hadn't heard that nickname in what felt like ages.

"Ria, wait. Just listen," he said.

She turned her head.

"What, Black?" she said coldly.

It hurt him that he wasn't Phardie anymore.

"What happened to you? I'm sorry; I didn't want to cause you any more harm. Look, I--I can--you--come with me."

"Too late, Alphard. You should have asked me a year and a half ago." As she turned, he grabbed her hand, but she winced.

"S-sorry, does it hurt?" he said.

"I have some bruises that are deeper than just skin."

And with that, she left him for the castle. He sat there all alone as tears were going down his cheeks. "I'm sorry," he whispered as a black little cat approached him and came to play with him.

"Hello, little one. Are you hungry?" He gave it a small sandwich that was in his robe's pocket just in case, and surprisingly, she ate it. "Well, what should I call you? Well, grey eyes, black hair, should I call you Black? Oh no, you would be cursed," he laughed. "Midnight sounds great."

The bell rang again. "See ya." As the boy disappeared, the black cat became a man.

"You will understand her one day, nephew, I promise," said Regulus.

In the dinner, everyone was eating dinner when McGonagall came to the Gryffindor's table that was silent because no one dared to ask Alphard what happened earlier.

"Mister Black, a word, please," she said.

"What have you done again?" said Hermione.

"Nothing, I swear. She started to scare me." As he got out, he saw his sister sitting in Dumbledore's office.

"Ah, Mister Black, well, you are here, so I guess it's time to announce."

Alphard looked at his sister, who looked at him for an answer, but none knew anything.

"I'm so sorry to inform you that your grandmother, Lady Walburga Irma Black, has been announced dead."
