Cat, Rat and dog

Alphard stood in the astronomy tower, embracing Aurora as he kissed her neck tenderly.

"You look exceptionally beautiful today," he murmured, gazing into her captivating green eyes.

Suddenly, realization struck him, and he reluctantly released her.

"What's the matter, love?" she inquired.

"It's 7 pm; I have detention with Snape. We'll finish this later," he said, planting one last, profound kiss on her lips.

---

"Sorry I'm late," Alphard apologized as he entered.

"Messed with Bexley again?" Rosalie teased.

"Kind of. Wait, how did you...?" he trailed off as Rosalie pointed to a hickey on his neck.

"Now, let's get on before we have to endure Snape's speech again," she said, chuckling as Alphard joined in.

---

"Mr. and Miss Black, you are late again. Take your seats and begin correcting those essays," Snape instructed as the two complied, while Snape prepared a potion nearby.

The privilege the Blacks held, unlike others, was their status as heirs to the Black family. Snape, aware of this, treaded lightly with punishments, unlike with Potter or the Weasleys, knowing the potential consequences.

"I'll deliver this to Professor Lupin. You better have these essays finished by the time I'm back," Snape warned before leaving and closing the door behind him.

"Ugh," Alphard groaned, leaning back in his chair. Rosalie, however, waved her wand, effortlessly organizing everything alphabetically.

"You mean to tell me you could have done that all along, and you left us here for an eternity?" Alphard exclaimed.

"Sometimes I can't help but wonder where you got this stubbornness," she remarked.

-Girl, he got it from his father, duh-

"Let's take a walk," Alphard suggested.

"I'm not in the mood; I have things to attend to," she declined.

He seized her wrist and led her away without a word.

"Stop it. What's gotten into you?" she protested.

"Why won't you let me help you? You're aware you could get yourself killed!" he insisted.

"I don't know what you're talking about," she deflected, attempting to leave.

"Not this time, Ria!" he blocked her path.

"You sometimes forget we grew up together. I know you're trying to thwart the Dark Lord, but it won't end well, and you know it," he urged.

As she prepared to respond, they heard a scream near the Whomping Willow.

"Hermione!" they exclaimed together, rushing towards the commotion. They found Ron with a leg covered in blood, an ugly, short man, Harry, Hermione, and their father. It was a fleeting moment, but Sirius's heart swelled with pride at how his little babies had grown up.

But there was a werewolf nearby. Alphard drew his wand, and Sirius transformed into his animagus form to distract Remus. That's when Rosalie transformed into her animagus form, a Grey German Shepherd.

"Ria, no!" Alphard yelled, but it was too late. Remus struck Rosalie with a rock, causing her to faint.

"Rosalie!" Alphard cried out, rushing to her side, while Harry, Hermione, and Alphard attempted to protect Ron and an unconscious Snape.

The two dogs fought bravely until Remus struck Alphard with a rock, rendering him unconscious.

His eyes fluttered open briefly.

"I'm sorry, son," a voice said, and he slipped into unconsciousness.

*Flashback*

A woman with blond hair and ocean-blue eyes was baking what seemed like cinnamon rolls in the kitchen, singing:

"Jean Petit qui danse,
Jean Petit qui danse,
De son bras il danse,
De son bras il danse,
De son bras, bras, bras,
Et de sa main, main, main,
Et de son doigt, doigt, doigt..."

"Ma-" uttered a year-and-ten-month-old Alphard.

The woman dropped everything.

"Go on, mon amour, say it," said a jubilant Alexandra, clapping her hands.

"Ma-ma," baby Alphard said.

"Yes!" exclaimed Alexandra, hugging her son joyfully and showering him with kisses. "That's my boy! Just wait until Daddy and Sissy come. Oh my lord, at least you didn't say 'dada' like your sister."

---

"Goodbye, Harry," Dumbledore said as Alphard slowly opened his eyes, seeing his sister sleeping beside him in the hospital wing. He rose slowly.

"What happened?" he inquired.

"ALPHARD!" Ron, Harry, and Hermione exclaimed, waking Rosalie.

"Ouch... what happened?" she asked.

"I was just asking them," Alphard replied.

And with that, they recounted everything-Scabbers being Pettigrew, Sirius's innocence, literally everything.

"I always knew that rat was abnormal," Rosalie remarked.

"So, Grandmother was right. Father is, in fact, innocent!" Alphard said, looking at his sister.

*Flashback*

The two Blacks sat in the living room as their grandmother explained the family tree. It was one of the first things they learned in their lives.

"Now, this is your great-aunt and uncle Cygnus and Druella, nee Rosier Black, and their three daughters, your aunts: Bellatrix Black Lestrange, Narcissa Black Malfoy, and their disowned blood-traitor daughter, Andromeda," she said the name 'Andromeda' with disdain.

"And what's the rule, you two?" she asked.

"Never name your kids after disowned members, or they'll be cursed," the six-year-olds recited in unison.

"Well, in your case, Rosalie, it's a middle name. It's not a big deal. That dumb father of yours named you. Obviously, it was dumb of him to get a punishment for something he didn't do. That's what people get when they follow the Dark Lord. Understood?"

"Yes, grandmother," the twins said.

---

"She never believed he would betray the Potters," she confided in him.

"Rosalie, you never told us you were an animagus," Hermione remarked.

"Where's Professor Lupin?" Rosalie asked, rising to leave.

"In his office. Why would you-" Hermione began, interrupted by Rosalie's departure. "I'm coming with you," Alphard declared.

"Fine," she agreed.

The trio were left dumbfounded. They could never quite understand these two; they were like a complicated potion, unpredictable.

*Knock knock*

"Come in," Lupin called.

"Professor," the Blacks greeted as Lupin looked at them, feeling a sense of shame.

"Look, I'm so sorry about yesterday. I know I'm a monster. I shouldn't-" Lupin began.

"It's alright. You're not a monster," Alphard assured.

"You just have a little furry problem, that's all," Rosalie added with a twinkle in her eye. A little furry problem-what their father used to tell him when they were younger. Remus couldn't help but smile.

"Since when did you know?" he asked.

"On

the train, the scars, the tired face, the chocolate bars that kill dogs," Rosalie explained.

"But the boggart was a giveaway," Alphard added, high-fiving his sister, as they both realized it simultaneously.

Remus smiled at the sight of his godson and daughter. As he began to speak, Rosalie interjected, "Yes, we are animagus, and no, I'm not answering your questions. Have a good day, Professor," before dragging her brother out of the office.

Remus couldn't bear the fact that they didn't know he was their godfather.

*Outside Hogwarts*

A sound was heard outside; Regulus took his wand, prepared to confront someone. When the door opened, he found a skinnier, older man with a mass of hair and stormy eyes.

"Hello, Reggie," Sirius greeted.

"Sirius," Regulus breathed, rushing into his brother's arms for a long-awaited hug. He had missed his brother terribly and couldn't bear it any longer.
