One Night Stand

- 3 years later -

Abby's POV

I was confused, whether to wear the grey dress that Thea got for me, or this other dress that I found in my closet.

I knew that she would be furious if I didn't wear the dress she got for me. So I decided to wear it with silver heels for tonight.

After curling my hair, applying makeup, she was on time when I finished. The car beeping on the lawn so I took my bag and scurried to the front door.

"Right on time" She gave me a once over, her eyes satisfied that I chose the dress she got me.

"Where are we going anyway?" Charles butted in. I took in his appearance, a leather jacket with a white shirt, Jeans with combat boots, and a dog tag on his neck.

He looked exactly like the definition of a bad boy.

He glanced over at my dress, his lips turning to a smirk as he met my eyes.

Charles and I have had our steamy moments, but it never lead to a full on commitment relationship. He didn't want that and I didn't too. So we stayed as friends...with benefits.

But I didn't know if he had feelings for me, not that I didn't mind really. That was the last thing I want besides having a relationship with him.

We finally arrived, the place vibrating with loud music from inside. We got out of the car and entered inside.

The last time I went here was three years ago, it was a difficult memory for me to forget and I never thought I would enter here again.

Good thing Parker wasn't here, he declined our invite saying that he had a date to go to. It surprised me really, but glad as well that he finally forgot his feelings for me.

It was Charles that I was worried. I didn't want a relationship again. What was in the past, I don't want that to happen again. I don't want to fall in love, again.

We took our seats, Charles walked off to get our drinks while me and Thea took turns in finding a guy.

"Look at that one, he looks hot" I followed her gaze and took notice of the blonde guy. He winked at her and I rolled my eyes at their mysterious eye contact.

"I'm gonna talk to him, want to come?"

"I'll stay here, you go have fun" She shrugged  before walking to the guy, her red dress spotted in the crowd. Charles soon came back with the drinks and sat down beside me.

Charles poured himself a drink, taking slow sips. He poured me a drink and offered me one which I accepted.

"The last time you drank whiskey it didn't end well" He finished his shot and took another one. I decided to drink the cocktail instead of the whiskey, remembering a distinct memory from before that made me cringe.

He smiled. "You prefer cocktail over whiskey?" I rolled my eyes while finishing the cocktail. The liquid started out sour, then the salty rim of the glass and the sweetness, ending in a delightful cold burn in my mouth.

"Yes. And I'm kind of tired drinking whiskey...But I do like something else" I smirked. Letting the idea float in his head.

"How about a glass of," He leaned in closer with a smirk plastered on his face, "Sex on the beach?"

The fire spreaded on my cheeks. I turned to him and nodded. The smirk turned into something more different as he walked away to get my drink.

I was sure that my cheeks were tinged pink, surprised that this was another one of Charles' moves to make me blush.

I could see Thea dancing with the blonde from a while ago. Seems like her little talk worked out well. It was then I noticed that many other guys were taking a few glances at her, cautious of the guy she was dancing with. She really had a thing for blonde guys, I don't really get why she would still date blondes, wasn't Brad blonde?

From what she told me, Brad and her have only been together for six months. She told me that Brad cheated on her for some girl he had a one night stand with.

Charles came back with my drink. Well it wasn't only my drink, he sure had a lot of money. There were different kinds of alcoholic drinks now resting on our table.

"How about we see who gets drunk first?"

I raised my brow. My arrogance in drinking has gotten me to many humiliating troubles. But I'm sure Charles would let me out of trouble, right?

A smirk on my face as I raised my shot glass, "You're on"

*******

I was left on the table, drinking and alone. Charles was dancing with another girl, Thea was still with the guy, and I was still on the table drinking.

No one came to me to dance. So I decided to dance by myself. I don't want to ruin my night because of a guy not dancing with me.

I swayed my body to the sound of the beat. The crowd constantly jumping and dancing. Strobing lights and the wild music making us lively. My eyes shut as I danced, letting the music overtake me.

It wasn't long till two arms wrapped around my waist. I didn't mind as I wrapped my arms around his neck, my eyes still closed as we both danced to the music.

His face unrecognizable through the dark room with the sudden flash of lights. I couldn't make out his face, but I knew that he was devilishly handsome.

"You come here often?" His voice husky as he spoke. I don't smell any alcohol, so he definitly wasn't drunk.

I was afraid to speak, worried that he'll smell my horrible alcoholic breath. So I shook my head in disagreement.

"I have to go freshen up" I mentally face palmed myself. Was that a reasonable excuse to freshen your breath?

He chuckled in response as I hurried to the restroom.

My face was slightly damp with sweat, but my makeup was still intact.  I wiped the sweat from my forehead and brought some breathe mints.

I took about three of them before deciding to go back out, wondering if I had taken too long inside.

He was standing there when I got out. His eyes gazing at my lips, while I was unaware that I was looking down at his.

I knew what was going to happen, But why wasn't I stopping it?

His eyes unwavering, moving in closer that I could feel his breath sending shivers on my face, noticing my body now pressed against the door.

It was urgent. His lips met mine, his kiss soft than what I expected it to be. His hands clasped on my waist, my arms rested on his shoulders.

We were making out, and it was on fire. The kiss sent my face burning and it felt amazing. The air was hot and so were we, My heart beating rapidly as we kissed. The world felt like nothing. It was only me and him with our lips making love.

We were moving, and that's when I realized that he lead me inside a room.

********

The sun radiant as I opened my eyes, Only to be met by a major hangover. How much did I drink last night? My head hurts so bad.

I snuggled under the blanket, burying my head in them. Wait, a blanket?

The sudden movement on my side caused me to gasp, my eyes wide seeing a man sleeping soundly beside me.

I got off the bed and quickly changed in my clothes, silently. Where were Thea and Charles? Weren't they with me last night? And what was I doing here?

I couldn't see the man's face as his back was faced to me. My brows furrowed to see that there was a large scar permanent on his back.

I moved in closer to him. Tracing his scar with my hand. I flinched when he suddenly moved with a groan.

I didn't want him to see me when he wakes up. This was all a mistake, I was drunk when I did this. I grabbed my bag and hurried to the door, taking one last look at the man who I still can't recognize with his scarred back facing me.

This won't mean anything. After all, it was just a one night stand.
