vanessa's pov ♡ ࿐ྂ ࿔ ;

↠ 3:45pm ↞ 

i just got off the school bus and was walking home with my sister, krystal. once we arrived at home, i unpacked my school bag and completed my homework. afterwards, i cleaned my room and got changed.

↠ 6pm ↞ 

my siblings and i finished helping our parents cook dinner. while we were setting up the table, jungkook texted me. 

kookie ♡ : i'm a minute awayyy

me: i'll meet you at the front~

"jungkook is almost here, i'll be back" 

"okay" 

i walked to the front of the house and saw a car pulling up in the driveway. i recognised jungkook coming out of the car, i waved at manager sejin, he drove away then jungkook and i greeted each other.

"hey cutie" he said while hugging me

"hey handsome" i said and kissed him

"are you ready?"

"yep, are you?"

"yes, just kinda nervous"

"why're you nervous?"

"you're my first boyfriend ever and i've never invited a boy over to my house for dinner to meet my family before...i just want everything to go perfectly " 

"i get you, i've never experienced this before too but everything will be fine" he said while intertwining his fingers with mine then pecked my lips 

we walked to the front door, took our shoes off and walked inside the house. i leaded the way to the dining room while holding jungkook's hand. 

"jungkook is here!" i said and my family rushed to the dining room 

"hello, i'm jeon jungkook. i'm from south korea and i'm in a kpop boy group called bts. it's nice to finally meet you all" he said and smiled

"hi jungkook, i'm vanessa's mum, rizza. we've met before in that one video call. it's nice to meet you in person" 

"hey jungkook, i'm vanessa's dad, brian. it's nice to meet you and have you join us for dinner"

"this is my eldest sister krystal, you've seen her in a video call before"

"and this is my youngest brother, chester" 

after they've introduced each other, we sat down at the table. 

"don't be shy, dig in!" my mum said and smiled

while i was waiting for everyone to get their foods first, jungkook replaced my plate with his which he already put food on it.

"oh- gomawo"

"it's okay" he said and smiled 

i saw my parents' reaction and they were impressed. i waited for jungkook to finish getting his food so i could start eating. 

"hey jungkook" chester said

"yes?"

"do you know how much vanessa loves you? every sunday morning, she watches sbspopasia on the tv just to wait for bts music videos to play and she always mentions your name"

"oh really?" jungkook asked then grinned at me

"wait until you see her room" krystal said and smirked 

"stop, this is so embarrassing" i wined and face palmed

"but it's true haha" my dad said and they all laughed

we've all been chatting and joking around. at first jungkook was shy and took his time opening up, eventually, he naturally became very comfortable and got close with my family. everything went better than i expected, i loved seeing jungkook bond with my family. 

after dinner, we helped cleaned up then i decided to give jungkook a house tour. i showed him around the house, the backyard then lastly my bedroom. 

"wait- is that us?" he asked and pointed at a picture collage i made of the pictures of us from our dates

"yes~" 

"it's so nice, did you make it?"

"yep, do you like it?"

"i love it, why didn't you made me one?" he jokily said 

"oh-"

"babe, i'm just kidding" he said and chuckled then pecked my right cheek

"you have our albums too" he said and looked at my kpop album collection

i started covering my face in embarrassment because it felt weird having jungkook looking around my room when i have kpop posters and stuff like that around my room. 

"nessie, don't be embarrassed" he said and back hugged me

"isn't it weird?"

"not really because most of the things you have here are bts haha" 

i blushed and smiled at jungkook's response

"who's this guy?" he asked and looked at a poster of himself 

"that's you, silly" 

"i know, i look so good in that photo" he said and smirked

"omg haha" 

i showed jungkook some of my childhood photos, my paintings and performances i've done at school/family events. afterwards, we played video games together with my siblings. 

↠ 8pm ↞

manager sejin texted jungkook that he's waiting in the driveway so everyone had to say 'bye' to jungkook. 

"thank you for dinner, it was so nice to meet you all, good night" jungkook said and waved to my family

"thanks for joining us for dinner, jungkook. it was lovely meeting you and goodnight to you too" my mum said

my parents hugged jungkook and he gave a high five to my siblings.

"i'll walk him to the car" i said while holding jungkook's hand and my parents nodded

we put our shoes on and walked to the driveway where manager sejin was in the car waiting. 

"what did you think of meeting my family and having dinner with us?" 

"it was fantastic baby" he said and danced a bit, i watched and laughed at him. 

"i'm so happy it went well and you got along with them"

"me too. i hope someday you get to meet my family and eat dinner with us too"

"it'll happen, don't worry" i said and smiled 

"will i see you tomorrow?"

"definitely, we'll figure it out soon"

"okay, well thanks for tonight"

"thank you too, make sure you and manager sejin gets to the hotel safely"

"yes~ goodnight, i love you" he said while hugging me

"nighty night, i love you too" i said and kissed him

jungkook got inside the car, i waved at him and manager sejin then waited for them to drive away before i walk back inside the house. i walked back into my room, relaxed for a bit and packed my school bag for tomorrow. 

as time passed by, i got ready for bed while texting jungkook then i fell asleep.
