Doing some cleaning activities after their afternoon session was considered a normal norm for Hyosan high school students to participate. Son Areum alongside Nam Onjo and Yoon Isak were walking toward the back of the school to grab a broom, mop and other cleaning tools. Areum was walking in a slow pace behind two of her friends as they were giggling in front of her. She chuckled in amused at her two friends when they were racing toward the cleaning supplies. 

“Areum-ah, here you go. You take this.” Isak said as she turned around and reached her hand out to give the broom to Areum, who had stood behind them.

“Thanks, Isak.” Areum smiled, taking the broom from her friend as Isak once again turned around and grabbed the mop from the cleaning supplies. While waiting for her friends, Areum heard a familiar voice near them, causing the black hair girl to turn and look at the respective voice.

“Well, maybe next time you should learn how to pass the ball.” Lee Cheongsan was talking with his two close friends, Lee Suhyeok and Han Gyeongsu.

“Let’s go.” Onjo mentioned, gaining Areum attention as Onjo grabbed her two friends’ elbow, ushering them to start walking toward their class. The three friends then started to walk back to their classroom, barely managing to escape the commotion Gyeongsu had made. Onjo and Isak were giggling as they watched the commotion between Cheongsan and Gyeongsu while Areum and Suhyeok were smiling at each other.

Before she could walk further, Areum felt her left hand was being tugged by someone. She stopped her movement and turned around to look at the person. It was Suhyeok. He gently gripped her left hand as he smiled down at her.

“Oh, Suhyeok. What is it?” she asked as she watched how his big hand wrapped around her small hand. She smiled to herself as she felt warm inside her body with the small gesture. This lasted for a few moments until she remembered about her two friends. Turning her head, Areum watched Onjo and Isak continued walking as they talked, unaware that one of their friends was left behind.

“Sorry about that.” Suhyeok claimed, still holding her small hand as he watched the girl in front of him watch her friends go.

“No, it's okay. I can catch them later. What is it you want to talk about?” Areum smiled, while shaking her head indicating it was fine. She turned her attention toward her best friend and immediately saw Suhyeok beamed at her as she always seemed to know what was on his mind. 

“My grandmother was wondering if you still wanted to join us for dinner later? She told me to tell you that she makes your favorite dish.” Suhyeok raised his eyebrows in an attempt to lure Areum to join them for dinner later, fully knowing that the beautiful girl will join them after hearing her favorite dish will be served during dinner. 

“Yeah, of course. You always know whenever Youngsook halmoni cooks my favorite dish, I’ll come to her dinner.” Areum mentioned as she playfully push Suhyeok’s shoulder. This small action causes Suhyeok to chuckle lovingly.    The sound of Gyeongsu groaning caused the pair to look over at the two fighting boys. Areum smiled at the two boys’ playfulness while Suhyeok stared at them in amusement. 

“I’ve better stop them before they start hurting each other.” Suhyeok sighed as he saw Cheongsan playful choking Gyeongsu’s neck using his whole right arm. “I’ll see you later, Areum-ah.”

“See you later, Suhyeok-ah and good luck with them.” Areum teased as they let each other hand go. She waved at the two bickering boys and bid her bye to them. Both Cheongsan and Gyeongsu shouted their bid to her as Suhyeok managed to tear them apart from each other.

“Aish, you guys. Stop it.” Suhyeok smiled as he saw his childhood friend’s figure walk away from the three of them.

After all of the afternoon activities in Hyosan high school, all of the students were allowed to go to their prespective houses. Areum was walking in the school yard while putting her earbuds in her ears. Beside her is one of her closest friends as well as her seatmate, Choi Namra. Most Hyosan high school students saw Namra as the top student and have cold behavior as they rarely saw her interact or smile with other students. The only time they saw Namra interact and even joke was when she was with Areum. It fascinated all of the student bodies on how Areum was able to break the cold exterior of the class president of class 2-5. 

Both girls were enjoying their peaceful walk as Areum was listening to the music in her earbud while Namra was multitasking, reading her book and listening to some electronic music. Areum spotted Onjo and Isak walking in different directions as most students were eager to leave the school. She waved her hand at them when Onjo and Isak looked in her direction. Both of the girls waved back to Areum and continued their journey.

When Areum and Namra reached the school gate, Areum saw Suhyeok lean against the school gate waiting for her. Saying her goodbye to the class president, she approached the tall boy, gaining his attention when she made her way to his spot. Suhyeok beamed as she stood in front of him.

“Did you wait for me too long?”

Suhyeok shaked his head as he straightened his posture, both of his hands were inside his school trouser pockets. Although he had waited for her for the past ten minutes, Suhyeok gave different answers to her, so that she would not overthink too much. Areum sighed in relief when she received a response from the tall boy.

“Let’s go. Otherwise, halmoni will cook dinner late. I don’t want that to happen. If that happens, my ears will bleed listening to your complaint.” Suhyeok smiled as he intertwined his hand with her small hand. He started to tug the frowned girl forward.

“Yah! I don't complain until your ears bleed. I’m just stating what I feel at that time.” Areum frowned as she pulled her hand away from him, causing the tall boy to turn his attention to her. Suhyeok grinned as he stared at her. 

“Sure, sure.” Suhyeok once again clasped his hand with Areum’s small hand, continuing their walk to the direction of their house. Hearing his sarcastic respond, Areum screamed, causing a few students around them to glance at the pair.

“Yah! Lee Suhyeok. Did you just give me a sarcastic response?” Both of his eyes widened when he listened to her which led him to chuckle nervously when he faced the fuming girl. 

“No, I didn't.” Suhyeok exclaimed as he let her hand go and ran away from her, leaving Areum stunned for a moment. Once she regained her senses, Areum tried to chase the tall boy.

“Lee Suhyeok! Hey! Get back here.“ Areum shouted. The young boy laughed in glee as he continued to run away from her.
