Tara: Oooo a solo text, a rare honour from the never-replies-to-a-single-damn-text Nick Nelson.

Nick: Ha. Ha. I text you for a reason pay attention pls 🙄

Tara: Very well, how can I help?

Nick: It's about Charlie

Tara: Obviously..

Nick: Yeah, he won't talk to me about what bothers him 😮‍💨 and I get it, he's had a tough time and he's been through so much, but it's like he doesn't trust me and that hurts.

Tara: Oh damn, do you think... Are you having doubts?

Nick: I don't know? I guess so. Not because I don't like him, well, love him, because I do, and I recognise that now. I'm getting to a point with him where I'm thinking about the future but including Charlie in it, like, when I go to Sixth form I'll have to stay at Truham because Charlie will be in year 11 at that point. But if Charlie doesn't feel like he can open up to me then what am I supposed to do? I could just say something and it could send him spiralling.

Tara: Nick, you need to chill, you haven't even been on your inaugural first date yet! Give him (AND YOU) time!

Nick: True, but even arranging our first date became a cluster fuck, he was acting so.. strange and I just.. can't deal with not being able to help, he's so fragile and I just want to make everything okay and kill anyone who bothers him 😭

Tara: 'Oh please Tara can't keep secrets from me' - Darcy. Hey! Don't worry I slapped them for that one!

Nick: Good, I dunno guys. The feelings I'm catching for Charlie are just so intense and I feel like I'm really putting myself out there and he's just hiding things, it hurts me yknow.

Tara: I know what you mean, but Charlie's had to face a lot of things alone y'know?

Nick: I know, I'm just.. Scared I guess
