Char: Hey umm weird question, where do you see yourself in 5 years?

NN: Oh, that's a difficult question Char

NN: Well yeah, do you mean realistically or in a world where I can have anything?

NN: Well in 5 years you'll probably just have finished uni so we'd probably be renting a place near where you went to uni since I know you wouldn't really wanna move out that familiar environment, I think I'll do a Primary PGCE after my degree so I'll be teaching my class and we'll just be living our best life :>

Char: Wow

NN: Of course sorry haha, so about Ben, like what boundaries should I have with him to make sure you feel comfortable, I mean, I think I'm being slowly more friendly with him, like I'm two weeks into a 3 year course and to be honest he's shown he's not a total tosspot. There's no avoiding him he's on my modules and to be honest I like working with him.

Charlie: Nick's asking me what boundaries he should have with Ben and I have no idea what that means, I think he's saying he wants to be Ben's friend? Like, we talked about it a bit over the weekend and Ben's obviously going through a lot but him spending loads of time with Nick just makes me so angry. I've never really thought of myself as a jealous person but it seems I am.

Tao: Wow, that's kind of a lot to unpack, given what Ben has done to you I don't think you can be expected to forgive him, like, that's up to you.

Charlie: It's not about forgiveness, I think I let go of my hatred and anger for what he did long ago, I just don't want him actively in me and Nick's life :( Ben is a fundamentally bad person and I don't want him messing things up.

Aled Last man standing: I disagree Charlie, I don't think there's such a thing as a 'fundamentally bad person' and I don't think you believe that either, if you did you wouldn't have let go the negative emotions for what he did to you.

Elle: I think you both raise good points, but ultimately you can't control that Ben is going to be in Nick's life, you have to try to make it clear what you're comfortable with the type of friendship they have I guess.

Charlie: Jesus, as if having Nick at uni wasn't bad enough this mess really just is the cherry on top.
