Those words made me smile.

We both continued watching the movie but it got really boring at one point that I just fell asleep.

The smell of something delicious brought me back to consciousness. I opened my eyes to see that Jay was not sitting where he was before and the TV was turned off. I looked around and noticed it was pitch black outside. My eyes turned to the clock.

06:27 again it's winter so it got dark pretty early.

I heard rustling coming from the kitchen, which also was where the delicious smell was coming from.

I kicked the blanket of my feet and slowly got on my feet. I made my way towards the kitchen to meet with Jay on the stove making...something. I don't know his back was facing me.

I pulled the stool out and sat on it, placing my elbows on the counter and resting my head in my hands.

"What are you making?" I quietly asked which drew his attention from the stove to me. He greeted me with a small smile.

"I felt bad for making you pay and living here with nothing in return so I made you ramen with spicy rice cakes" he said lifting the pan from the stove and placing it in front of me. It smelt so good I felt myself drooling.

"Oh no you didn't have to."

"Well to be honest I was hungry and it was dinner time. Plus I didn't want to make too much of a mess"

I nodded my head

"Well let's dig in"

I stood up to get chopsticks for the both of us before we stuffed ourselves with the meal. It's pretty good for an instant dish. 

After eating Jay insisted to wash the dishes and I couldn't argue with him so I let him wash.

"Hey I have work tomorrow so I'm gonna go sleep. Do you need anything before I go?" I asked as he placed the final dishes on the drying rack.

"I think I'm good" I nodded.

"Ok. Good night Jay" I said before turning around.

"Good night April. Sweet dreams" I stopped in my tracks. A warm feeling flushed my cheeks. I turned around and gave Jay a small smile before going to my room and falling asleep.

I rushed around my office looking for some documents.

"Found it Lia" I said lifting some papers into the air.

Lia and I were panicking because we lost important documents and were about to start balling our eyes out.

"Quick send it to Soobin" Lia said pointing to the papers, to which I nodded my head.

We both continued to work, having small talk and laughs along the way.

Lia wanted to take a break but I wanted to continue working to finish the last bit of papers. Lia was on her phone for a moment before she received a message.

"Omg omg guess who messaged me" She said giggling excitedly. I lifted my head from my screen already knowing who she's talking about.

"Sunghoon asked me if I want to join him and other colleagues for dinner tonight. Uh of course." I watched as she typed something on her phone, assuming it's her reply to the message.

I pulled out my phone to see the same message on my phone.

'Some people from work wants to go out for dinner tonight at the restaurant near by. I hope to see you there'

I didn't answer. I told Jay that I would be home before 8.

"Are you going?" Lia asked drawing my attention to her.

"Oh uh, maybe not"

"What? Why not?" Lia looked as if I were insane not to go with her.

"I have stuff do to at home" she just nodded.

We both continued working until it was dark. I bid good bye to Lia before making my way out the office and to the entrance of the building.

I started walking to my car before a familiar voice called my name.

"April" I turned to see Sunghoon.

"Sunghoon. What are doing here."

"I was gonna ask you the same thing. Aren't you going to the dinner thing?"

"No I'm busy" I said as I turned around and continued walking to my car.

"Busy huh? With what?" I ignored him and continued walking to my car.

I opened the car door only to have Sunghoon slam it shut. I didn't turn around. I could see in the reflection of my car window that he was directly behind with his hand still on the door making it hard for me to run away.

"What do you want Sunghoon?"

"Don't tell me you're looking after that scum bag."

I turned around glaring at him and at the words that came out his mouth.

"That is none of your business"

Sunghoon leaned his face to mine leaving barely any space between us. He looked over at his phone, dialled someone on the phone before looking at me again.

"Hey, I'm can't come tonight. Something came up" I felt every breath on my face as he spoke. Our eye contact never broke throughout his call. He pressed the end buttons before bringing the phone down and into his pocket.

His expression was calm but I could sense arrogance in it.

"It's my business now"
