"You look incredibly tired dear."

My eyes fluttered open and I looked around my surroundings. I was still in my office, on my desk. I must have fallen asleep, my body couldn't take it anymore.

"You know, you were so deep into sleep that I couldn't even get into your mind."

I screamed when I saw Jay leaning against my bookshelf.

"W-what are you doing here" I stood and grabbed the closest thing I see and pointed at him.

"You really think a ruler is gonna stop me?" He took a step closer and was now standing in front of me with just my desk blocking him.

Jay leaned against the desk towards me. I tried moving back but I felt the window hit my back. I tried to swing the ruler at him as he started coming from around the side of the table, but he managed to catch it in his hands and snapped it into pieces with little to no effort.

He grabbed my wrist before I could do anything else.

"If I were smart, I would try anything."

I was angry yet scared. I looked around to see if I could getaway.

"Fuck you" I said shoving the broken ruler on Jay's face, scratching it. His grip around my hand loosen and I used this chance to break away from his grip completely.

I ran out the door when I heard footsteps behind me. I didn't bother looking back, I knew it was Jay.

Why was the whole building empty, not even one person was in sight. I was on at the front of the building where there would be lots people walking around, but none. Not a single soul was seen.

"That hurt you know."

I looked to where the receptionist would sit but saw Jay sitting on her seat.

I was shocked.

"H-how-" I didn't finish my sentence when he got off the chair and starting walking to me.

I bolted out of the building and onto the streets. Again, it was empty. No one person was seen.

I was trying to pull my keys out my pocket as I ran into the direction of my car.

"Ok this isn't funny anymore April."

I looked up and saw Jay leaning against my car swinging my car keys around.

I ran away. I ran away from the car and to I don't know where.

While I was running a pair of strong arms pulled me. Both arms wrapped around my waist, pulling me into the person. It was Jay.

"You don't listen do you?" He said. He was a lot taller than me and stronger making it easier for him to hold me.

"Let me go!" I said squirming to break out of his grip which didn't work.

"Shh, let's go back to the castle where you belong."

And before I could say another word, my vision went black.

I took a deep breath in before opening my eyes. The familiar clean air filled my nose.

"You know that ruler hurts."

I looked around to see that I was on the grass next to a tree. Jay was on the swing swinging back and forth slowly. I didn't say anything, I mean what else would I say to the person who somehow is talking to me in my head or you know what, I don't know what's going on anymore.

"What's going on?" That's all I could say.

I looked at Jay who was still swinging on the swing looking at the sunset in the distance. He turned his focus on me now.

"I'll tell you if you apologise." I mentally scoffed knowing his cockiness is back even after all that happened.

"What did I do? You brought me to this world that I thought was my dream but is clearly something else."

"You used that ruler to scratch me, in the face! There's a scar now." He said pointing to the tiniest scar just under his cheekbone.

I just rolled my eyes.

"Fine, I guess you're stuck here in this world not knowing what this place is or why you're here."

"That's fine, I'll just wake up again and everything will go back to normal" I said trying to wake myself up.

"Ha you can try but that won't work anymore. But suit yourself"

Jay got off the swing and started to walk away.

Ugh.

"Wait!" I said as I started running after Jay.

He turned around with his sly smirk on.

"I'm sorry, can you help me now?"

"That wasn't sincere at all" He frowned pouting his lips at me.

I groaned.

"I'm sorry about your face Jay, can you please tell me about this?"

"It's 'your highness' to you"

"But you said to call you Jay!"

"I changed my mind"

"What?!"

"Do you want to know or what? I can walk away right now and you would never see me again."

I let out another groan while holding my face.

"I'm sorry your highness." I exaggerated those words. "Can you please help me by telling me about this world?"

"Why of course I can." Jay was giving you the biggest grin mixed with his sly smirk.

He was enjoying this.
