Monday...

Oak's POV:
While my sisters were at school, I was at my friend's house. We were just doing random stuff, like watching sports. My friend, Wood, kept talking about his new girlfriend though, to the point where it seriously annoyed me every time he opened his mouth to say something.

"Yeah, dude, she's REALLY hot, ya know?" he said. He's said that at least ten times in the past hour.

"Will you please just stop talking about your girlfriend for just five minutes?" I asked, annoyed.

"Why you be hatin' on my girlfriend?" Wood asked.

"I'm not hating on your girlfriend... Look, it's great that you have a girlfriend and all, and I don't care if you talk about her or not. But seriously, I don't wanna hear you talk about her 24/7! Especially if all you talk about is how she looks!" I exclaimed, exasperated. I'm sick of listening to him talk about how hot his girlfriend is!

"You're just jealous," he replied.

"No, I'm not."

"Yeah, you totally are."

"I'M NOT!" I shouted, an angry look on my face. He looked at me, confused for a bit. His facial expression then changed, like he had an idea.

"Ah, I see... You're still upset about Natalie dumping you, aren't ya?"

"She didn't dump me! It was a mutual agreement to separate!" I protested.

"Nah, dude, you totally didn't want to let her go. Man, I would hate to be in your situation. Good thing that'll never happen to me and my really hot girlfriend," he told me. I then lost it.

"SHUT UP!" I yelled, flipping the table as I stood up. "JUST. SHUT. UP."

"Geez, man, no need to yell..." Wood then said.

"No need to yell?! You are getting on my last nerve! I'm sick of you constantly talking about how hot your girlfriend is! I'm sick of you rubbing my break up in my face! Just shut up!"

"I think you're overreacting..."

"Overreacting? Overreacting?! Oh, I'll show you overreacting!" I exclaimed angrily, giving Wood a death stare. I raised my fist, like I was about to punch his teeth out, but I kept it in the air. Oak, calm down... Don't let him get the best of you... I regained my composure, then lowered my fist.

"What? Too chicken to punch me?" Wood asked. I took a deep breath.

"The way a girl looks doesn't matter... It's about her personality..." I simply stated, then was about to walk out the door.

"You're trying to give me love advice? If it weren't for me, you never would have dated Natalie!" Wood responded.

"I don't need your help with my love life," I said to him, then walked out the door. I got in my car, but not before I heard him shout,

"You'll never get another girlfriend without my help!"

I drove home, those words echoing in my head the entire drive. The nerve of that guy!

"I'll show him... I don't need his help..." I muttered to myself.

When I got home, I looked at the house across the street. There had been a "For Sale" sign up for a while, and I had been wondering if anyone was ever gonna move in. I noticed that the sign wasn't there anymore. It had been replaced with a "Sold!" sign.

"New neighbors, huh?" I asked myself.

"Yeah, some family's moving in," a voice responded. I turned my head and saw my next-door neighbor standing at the end of his driveway. He was taking a walk.

"Huh. You have any idea on how old they are?" I asked.

"You want to know if a cute girl is moving in, don't you?" he asked. I nervously laughed.

"Heh, I'm just curious about who's moving in, that's all."

"I don't know any ages, or how many children there are. I just know it's a family," he told me.

"Ah, well, thanks anyway."

"No problem."

I was about to walk inside when my neighbor suddenly spoke,

"Oh, one more thing I just remembered. They're supposed to be moving in tomorrow."

"Oh, really? Thanks for telling me," I replied.

"You're welcome."

I walked inside, then was greeted by Leafy and Amy.

"Hey Oak," Leafy said.

"Hi Oak!" Amy then said afterwards.

Hey," I replied. I then started to walk upstairs, but I paused, deciding to tell Leafy about the new family across the street. "Hey Leafy, you know how the house across the street was for sale?"

"No... I didn't know about that..." she answered. I was slightly surprised she didn't know. Leafy likes meeting new people.

"Well, some family bought the house. Should be moving in tomorrow," I told her.

"Cool! Maybe we should go introduce ourselves tomorrow!" she suggested excitedly.

"Eh... I dunno..." I said. If the family was just a bunch of little kids, I didn't really want to have to visit them for a while.

"C'mon, it'll make them feel welcome!" she tried to persuade me. I sighed. Her persuading often works on me.

"Okay, fine, I'll come with you tomorrow," I finally agreed. She smiled, and so did Amy. I then went upstairs to hide away in my room and watch a TV show on ObjectFlix. I did that for the majority of the rest of the day, but I would often look up out my window at the house across the street. I continued to wonder who would be moving in tomorrow.

Tuesday...

I woke up, then, for the first time in a long time, I quickly sprung out of bed. I looked out the window to see if the family had moved in yet.

No one was out there.

I sighed, then laid back down on my bed. How long is this gonna take? I wondered. I heard Leafy and Amy leave for school, and my parents left for work a while later. Once again, I was alone at home. I didn't really feel like doing much at the moment, so I continued to watch the TV show I started yesterday on ObjectFlix.

Headphones's POV:
I'm really annoyed that I have to move. I had a perfectly normal life, then my parents decide that we have to move to a completely different country! So now, I've had to abandon my friends. I guess the one positive is that I have a fresh start, a clean slate. Not that I did terrible things! I may have just had a tiny bit of attitude towards some people, causing them to not like me, but now that's in the past.

"Mooooom... How much longer?" my little sister, Speaky, whined. She's not a fan of airplanes.

"We've still got another three hours, hon," my mother replied. Oh, how wonderful. I get to be cramped on an airplane, listening to my sister's whining for another three hours.

This is gonna be a long three hours.

I put my headphones on, then played a playlist of my favorite songs on my MePhone, very quietly muttering the lyrics of different songs under my breath.

Three and a half hours later...

"Hello passengers, we will be landing shortly. Welcome to Goiky," the pilot announced over the speaker. Some people were clapping, others were even cheering. It has been a long flight.

We soon landed, then we were able to get off. I needed to stretch out my legs. My parents, sister, and I got our bags, then we found our car that was sent here. We all got in and started driving to our new house. Oh great, another hour sitting down in a tight space. I kept my headphones on and continued to listen to my playlist. There were a bunch of romantic songs. I swear, I am a hopeless romantic. At my old school, there were a few guys who liked me, but it wasn't for who I truly was. They only liked me for my looks. I do have a boyfriend, however, but we had a long distance relationship. He actually lives in Goiky as well.

His name's Wood (A/N: WHOA PLOT TWIST im sorry).

I quietly sighed, then went on ObjectBook. I suddenly noticed that Wood had posted a new picture. I clicked on it, then saw Wood was at some party last night. Ah, that's fun. I wonder what happe- Whoa, whoa, whoa, who is that?!

"Who's who?" Speaky asked me. Apparently, I had said that out loud. I looked at her, who was trying to look at my phone.

"Not your business Speaky..." I told her, then looked at the picture. It was a picture of Wood... Making out with another girl... I looked at the caption:

"Totally just laid this super hot girl last night! #OneNightStand"

I couldn't stop staring at the caption and the picture. I couldn't believe he'd actually do something like that! Oh, he is gonna hear it from me... I quickly found his contact information in my MePhone, then called him. The phone rang once, then he picked up.

"Hey, babe," he answered the phone.

"Explain."

"Uh... What?"

"Explain the photo."

"What photo?"

"Oh, don't act so stupid. The one on ObjectBook!" I said angrily.

"Baby, I post a lot of photos on ObjectBook... I have no idea which one you're talking about," he answered.

"YOU WERE MAKING OUT WITH A GIRL AT A PARTY!" I shouted at him. My family just stared at me after I yelled. I may have said that a bit too loudly... (A/N: Mic: I can relate...)

"Oh... Um... I can explain..."

"Your caption explains it all, Wood. We're done," I cut him off, then hung up. How could he?! And he knew I was moving to Goiky today! I wanted to cry, but I decided not to. What's the point? I just lost someone who didn't love me, while he just lost someone who did.

"Headphones... Is everything alright?" Mom asked.

"Yeah... It's fine..." I bluntly responded. My parents didn't seem too convinced, but they decided to not ask. I guess they could tell what happened. We continued to drive to our house.

Once they got there...

We finally reached our new house. It was bigger than our old house, which was nice. I walked inside, then my mom told me which room was mine. I was quite nice, and had a perfect view of the street.

"The moving truck should be here soon. We're then gonna have to bring the stuff in," Dad told me.

"K, Dad..." I answered, then he left my room. My mom soon came upstairs.

"Sweetie? Your father, sister, and I are going to go to the grocery store... You wanna come with us?" she asked. I shook my head. "Alright then..." she said, then left. I soon heard the car drive away. I was now home alone. I decided that I wanted to sing and dance for a bit, since no one was there. Singing was a way that I would comfort myself. Dancing just makes it more fun. I pulled my speakers out from my bag, then plugged them in. I plugged in my phone. I soon noticed that the room was starting to get warm. I decided to open the window to let some air in. I then turned on my phone and played my favorite playlist. One of my favorite songs soon came on: Thinking Out Loud. I smiled. I truly am a hopeless romantic. I began to slightly dance a bit, then began to sing the lyrics.

"When your legs don't work like they used to before
And I can't sweep you off of your feet
Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love?
Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks?"

Oak's POV:
As I was watching ObjectFlix, I could suddenly hear the faint sound of music. I removed my dark green headphones, then noticed it was coming from outside. I walked to my window, then opened it. The music was much clearer now. Hey, I know the song that's playing... Thinking Out Loud. I looked out my window and saw that someone was in the house across the street. I guess the new neighbors moved in! I could see a girl, dancing? I could then hear her singing.

"And, darling, I will be loving you 'til we're 70
And, baby, my heart could still fall as hard at 23
And I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways
Maybe just the touch of a hand
Well, me—I fall in love with you every single day
And I just wanna tell you I am..."

I was soon entranced by her singing.

"Wow... She's amazing..." I happily sighed, staring out the window. I couldn't help but quietly sing along. I've heard Leafy listen to the song quite a few times, so I know the lyrics.

"So, honey, now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Place your head on my beating heart
I'm thinking out loud
Maybe we found love right where we are."

Could she possibly be my love? Whoa, Oak, you haven't even met her in person... I then smiled widely. But I am later today!

An hour later...

I continued to think about that girl, her beautiful voice, her amazing dance moves. I had seen a car pull up, three people coming out of the car. I'm guessing they were the rest of the family. I then eventually saw a moving truck pull up.

Later...

The family seems to of settled in. I saw Leafy, Firey, Amy, and Ashley walk around to the back of the house. Probably to look at the garden or something. I decided to get ready to head over to the house across the street. I found a dark green t-shirt and a pair of jeans. I put them on, then put on some cologne (A/N: Nooooo my weakness!!! XD). I quickly brushed my teeth, then grabbed a bottle of breath spray. What? It's just in case I happen to kiss her... I then went downstairs and out the back door. I saw the four planting flowers and observing the garden.

"Hey," I said to them.

"Hey Oak," they replied.

"The moving truck came here a few hours ago. I think the new family's settled in. If you all wanna go introduce ourselves, I think we should do it now," I explained to them.

"Okay! Let's go everyone!" Leafy exclaimed. We all then headed across the street to the new neighbors' house. After the doorbell was rung, a little girl with black hair came and answered the door. Maybe this was that other girl's little sister? I was suddenly startled by Ash's voice.

"SPEAKY?!" Ash exclaimed.

"ASH?!" the black haired girl exclaimed back. They then both squealed in excitement and jumped up and down. I had never seen little girls so excited. Leafy had always been more subtle with her excitement.

"I can't believe it's really you!" Ash exclaimed.

"Um... Mind telling us who this is...?" Firey asked. Yes, please do. I would like to know so that I can get to know if this is my future sister-in-la- Oak! For glob's sake, stop that! I mentally slapped myself in the face.

"This is Speaky! We were pen pals last year in second grade!" Ash told us. Well, that's nice.

"Oh! I remember that!" Firey answered. "You two kept in touch for a while didn't you?" he then asked. Ash nodded excitedly. I remember when I had a pen pal. It was fun.

"And now she lives in the neighborhood!" she exclaimed. Both Ash and Speaky then squealed and jumped up and down again. "Speaky! This is one of my best friends, Amy!" Ash told Speaky while pointing to Amy.

"Hi Speaky!" Amy said.

"Hi!" Speaky replied.

"I can't believe you're here!" Ash exclaimed again. Wow, talk about coincidences.

"Why don't you come in?" Speaky then suggested to us. The five of us walked inside with Speaky. As soon as I walked in, I immediately noticed a girl sitting on the couch. She had light brown hair with purple streaks, and had a set of headphones around her neck. She also had on a purple t-shirt, jeans, and Heely's. I suddenly felt really nervous. I swear, that's the girl I saw earlier today!

"Hey, can I use your bathroom?" I then asked, needing to prepare myself. Speaky nodded and said,

"It's right down the hall." I then quickly dashed to the bathroom. I locked myself in the bathroom, then just stood in there. I ended up using the bathroom anyway, but then I pulled out my breath spray. I quickly sprayed it once in my mouth, then put it back in my pocket. I then walked out of the bathroom, but I hesitated and stood in the hallway. I could hear conversation in the living room from the hallway.

"So, who were the others with you?" a familiar voice asked. I figured that was the girl from earlier today.

"The blonde girl is Amy, my adopted sister, and the girl with the orange hair is Ashley, or Ash, Firey's sister," I heard Leafy explain. Oi! Leafy, you gotta explain who I am!

"And the sexy guy?" The girl then asked. Whoa, hold up! Did she just call me sexy?! Well, aren't I in luck? "Did I say that out loud...?!" I then heard her ask frantically. I didn't hear any response from Leafy or Firey. "Don't tell him I said that..." she then said. Too late, dear... Too late... ;)

"We won't, promise," Leafy then said to her. "The 'sexy guy' as you quoted is my brother," she then said.

"Ooh, really?" the girl asked. I then finally built up the courage to talk to the girl. I also decided to act like I didn't hear any of that conversation, or didn't even see the girl.

"And I'm back!" I announced as I walked into the room. My brain suddenly stopped. Wait... WHAT DO I SAY NOW??? C'mon, say something smooth! "Hey Leafy, the soap in there was evergre-" I began to casually say to Leafy, but I mentally slapped myself. Real smooth Oak... I sarcastically thought. Okay, just go for it, you idiot! I ordered myself. I looked at the girl sitting on the couch, then I slightly smirked at her. "Well hello there..." I said in a slightly flirtatious tone. I sat down next to the girl. "And might I ask what your name is?" I asked.

"I'm Headphones. And your name is...?" the girl asked. Headphones, huh? Beautiful name...

"Evergreen. Oak Evergreen," I answered. Ha, take that, Wood. I can be smooth...

Headphones's POV:
OMG OMG OMG SEXY GUY HE IS FLIRTING WITH ME OMG OMG!!!!!!
I'm trying to be calm and collected on the outside, but I'm freaking out so much on the inside! Why would his random guy suddenly flirt with me?

We ended up talked for a while, but eventually, Speaky came back downstairs.

"Sis, can you get me, Ash, and Amy some pretzels?" Speaky asked.

Oak's POV:
So they are sisters...

"Sure, I'll go get them," Headphones answered.

"Allow me," I then said. I must be a gentleman!

"It's alright, you don't have t-!"

"Really, I'll get it!" I interrupted her. I got up, then started to walk away but I then stopped. "Um... Where's the kitchen...?" I then asked, feeling like an idiot. Headphones giggled a bit.

"I'll go show you," she said, then stood up. We walked into the kitchen, leaving Firey alone with Leafy. They should get together, ha. Headphones was about to grab the bag of pretzels. I then decided to make a move.

"So... Headphones..." I said as smoothly as possible.

Headphone's POV:
"Yeah?" I asked. Why do I have a feeling something's about to happen...?

"You have a lovely voice," Oak then told me. My face slightly redden from the suddenly compliment. I raised an eyebrow, confused.

"What?" I asked.

"Thinking Out Loud's a pretty good song, if you ask me," he then said. My eyes widened.

"W-wait... Y-you heard m-me...?!" I nervously asked. He smirked a bit.

"Loud and clear."

"Oh my gosh... Oh, gosh this is so embarrassing..." I muttered quietly as my face reddened. He moved a bit closer to me.

"Your dancing's nice too," he said.

"Y-you SAW ME?!" I frantically asked.

"Well, your window was open, so... Yeah," he told me.

"Could this possibly get anymore embarrassing?" I muttered, looking down at the ground. I didn't even have to look up to know that Oak's smirk had grown. He moved even closer to me.

"So, sexy, huh? That's quite nice of you to say," he then said. I gasped.

"You heard that too?!?!" I asked. He laughed a bit. I can't believe he heard that too!

"This couldn't possibly get any more embarrassing... Omg..."

"What if I were to... Kiss you?"

"Wh-wh-what...?!" I sputtered, completely shocked by what he just said.

"You heard me..." he said, grabbing my hand one one hand, then gently placing his other hand against my cheek. My face reddened 100 times more than before. He gently turned my head to look right at him.

"I... I... I..." I couldn't stop repeating that letter. He chuckled a bit.

"You're cute when you blush," he told me. I lightly giggled a bit. He then slowly leaned in towards me. Before I knew it, I was being passionately kissed by a sexy man. I was surprised, frozen from the suddenness. I had no idea how to react! His lips departed from mine after a few seconds, then he looked at me. He noticed my stunned reaction.

"U-um... I..." I had no idea what to say. He then looked really worried.

"You don't have a boyfriend, right?" he then asked. I slowly shook my head.

"No... I don't..." I managed to say.

"Oh, good. So there's no one that's gonna beat me up for kissing you," he slightly laughed, rubbing the back of his neck. I then slightly laughed as well. I couldn't help myself!

"No, I'm not dating anyone," I told him.

"So... You aren't gonna call the police on me for kissing you, right? If you are, I'm gonna have to move to the other side of the world..." he then said. That made me laugh more.

"Why would I make you move to the other side of the world? I mean, I just got here!" I laughed. He smiled.

"So, you wouldn't mind if I kissed you again?" he asked. I smiled. He then swooped in and placed his lips on mine. He kissed me as passionately as the first time, if not more, but this time, I kissed back. It was the most magical moment I had ever felt. We continued to kiss for a while, and eventually, I felt like I was supposed to be doing something... Maybe I'll remember later...

A/N: And there ya have it! The first bonus chapter! The second bonus chapter will be out as soon as I finish it. XD
