The Auditions Part 2

Firey's POV:
That did not just happen. I ran into Leafy while wearing the dress. That had to be the most humiliating experience for me ever. Stupid Snowball. He thinks he's so great. He's just a huge jerk. I should just stop doing what he says. But then he'll tell Leafy that I like her. And I can't let him do that. I sighed as I changed back to my regular clothes in the bathroom. I walked out and headed to Mrs. Hanson's room. Time to audition for Romeo. Yay. I wasn't too nervous but I wasn't sure if I would get the part. I'm not exactly one of Mrs. Hanson's favorites. I'm more of one of those students that she doesn't notice very much. I wonder if she'll notice me today. I got in line and waited for it to be my turn. I noticed Snowball was there. I heard that he's only auditioning because Needle's auditioning for Juliet. Snowball likes Needle. But so does my "enemy," Coiny. We used to be real enemies but when Leafy and Needle became friends, we ended up becoming friends. But, we're really competitive and we tend to argue a lot. Even so, we're still good friends. I think Coiny and Needle look great together and I'm pretty sure she likes him. As I thought about this, my turn came. I walked up on stage and started to say my lines. "Alas, that love, whose view is muffled still, should, without eyes, see pathways to his will..." I continued until I was done. I took a bow to be funny and some of the guys there clapped for me. I walked of stage and walked out of the room. I tried leaving the school without running into Snowball but that didn't work out so well. "All right Flame. Next thing you have to do. I want you to go buy me a taco," he said. I glared and walked to the taco shop. I bought a lousy taco and gave it to Snowball. I then walked back home. At least, I tried to. I completely forgot how to get home from the taco shop. Oh you have got to be kidding me... I thought to myself. What was I gonna do now? I checked for a signal on my phone but I had no signal. I sighed and did the only thing I could do. Walk to Leafy's house. Why? Because her house was really close to the taco shop. Funny how I knew how to get to Leafy's house but not my own from here. I walked over to her house and saw a flower on the way there. It wasn't just any flower though. It was a white lily. You don't see those often around here. Leafy has a flower garden and has been looking for one of those for a long time. This one wasn't in anyone's yard so it didn't belong to anyone else, so I looked in my backpack and found a cup. I carefully dug the white lily up and put it in the cup. I put some more dirt in it and carried the cup with the lily the rest of the way there. I knocked on her door and waited for someone to answer. Leafy opened the door and looked surprised to see me. "Oh! Firey, what brings you here?" she asked with a puzzled look. "I, um, sorta forgot how to get to my house from the taco shop. I was there and I couldn't remember. My phone had no signal so I couldn't pull up a map," I explained. "Ah, I see. Wanna use my phone?" she asked kindly. "Yes, please," I answered. "She handed me her phone and I entered in my address. "Okay, I got it. Thanks," I told her. "No problem!" she replied with her amazingly sweet voice. I swear, it's like caramel. She finally seemed to notice the lily I was holding. "Is that a white lily?" she asked. "Yes, yes it is. I found it on the way here and remembered that you wanted one for your garden so I got it for you," I explained. "Aw, really? That's so sweet of you, thank you!" she said happily. She took the cup that I handed to her. "Leafy? Whose at the door?" I heard a guy's voice ask. "It's my friend. He just came to ask me something," she replied while turning around with an annoyed look on her face. She looked back at me and smiled. I laughed and asked, "Who was that?" "My older brother, Oak," she replied. "He's annoying". "Aren't all guys annoying?" I asked while laughing. She laughed too and said, "I suppose we're all annoying and weird in some way." "Admit it. We're annoying," I said with a smirk. Leafy's a really nice person and doesn't like saying mean things about anyone. But she will say something about her brother every once in a while. "Uh..." she said. I smiled and told her that I should be getting home. "Okay Firey, I'll see you tomorrow. We'll get to see who's playing what in the play!" she said to me. We said bye and I walked back to my house. I sighed happily knowing that I made her happy. If there's one thing I can do, it's make her laugh and smile. She's really nice, and there's no doubt that I love her.
